Today is National Statistics Day! This year's theme is ‘Data for Sustainable Development.

Matippu - Online Holistic Education Platform believes in the foundation of holistic and sustainable development. We believe that the seeds we sow today are the ones we'll reap tomorrow, hence we focus on holistic education. The education where students are taught the importance of the environment. Education can be used to create positive changes in the world, and we are proud to support this year's Statistics Day theme.

Rabindranath Tagore was the founder of Shantiniketan in West Bengal, India. A multi-disciplinary, holistic education school, which aimed to combine western education with the existing form of education in India.

"The highest education is that which does not merely give us information but makes our life in harmony with all existence." He said the above quote while inaugurating Shantiniketan.

His goal was to create an open school, where children are not bound by the restrictions of four walls. He encouraged children to follow the phenomenons of the nature. The classes were and still are taken under tress, just like the old Gurukul system of India.
