Please stop framing matteo accepting david transness as a romantic gesture. Matteo accepting david being trans and recognizing him as male is the bare minimum of respect that should be established between them before they start a serious relationship.

Please stop talking about it like its the ultimate symbol of love. Often trans people are made to think that we have to be grateful for everyone somewhat accepting us and it leads to a lot of trans ppl entering and being stuck in awful and sometimes even abusive relationships.

Basic respect is a requirement and not something to be romanticized.
