my sock drawer is currently being overrun (by both handknit socks & commercial socks) sooooo idk what my thought process was in deciding to do so right before supper, but i'm attempting to take stock of all my handknit socks. theyre all spread out but there's maybe 5 or so pairs out of frame
also, not all of these were in my sock drawer; some were in a cardboard box in my closet (the ones that I knit when I was a teen/just getting back into knitting)
some of the older pairs are too big, weird fiber choices - one pair is acrylic??? one has cotton cuffs & heels & toes??? A couple pairs felted... some pairs keep getting holes... so i need to figure out how i should get rid of those cuz tbh I am not going to continue wearing them. Will prob frog the too-big wool ones but the others, idk.
I put my commercial socks back into my sock drawer & my thought for my handknits is to find a plastic tub or something to keep those in but holy smokes this is fairly ridiculous
#I love knit socks#I love how colourful these are too#and it's nice to read about your learning journey with them!

Well, I finally got some time to block Leventry. We'll see how I like it since I didn't pin out each picot. I can always redo the blocking.

I don't know what newbie lace knitter needs to hear this but I promise nobody else will notice that mistake you made 10 rows back. "Oh but I will" Not once it's finished and it's been a few weeks I promise. Speaking from experience here. You do NOT have to rip out your progress I promiseeee.
#there are mistakes that i would frog for and mistakes where we do a sneaky little increase/decrease or which we simply accept#ALSO don't knit lace after your usual bedtime if it's not urgent#you will fuck up your stitch counts so bad!! not always. but it will happen.

The Little Knit Clementines are the perfect citrus-y solution for using up scraps of leftover sock yarn. You know, the little pieces that are too small to do anything else with? Knit with eyes and legs for cute little clementine friends, or leave them off for cute decorations!
This pattern is a stash buster, and any fingering weight sock yarn will work well for it!
The pattern is written for normal clementines and clementine friends (with eyes and legs), and is available for ✨free✨ on my blog!
#this creature is so cute#i love the little legs and its beady eyes#and as soon as these socks are done i might even have some orange yarn for it - provided the socks (cabled) don't eat up the whole ball

Since I have seen several very beautiful pairs recently, I am currently in love with the idea of knitting selbu mittens. Now I don't really wear mittens (I usually burrow my hands inside my jacket if it's that cold AND don't go outside much outside of commuting for which I prefer to have my fingers to check my phone regularly) BUT!!
Selbu mittens it is. I am also for some reason very set on having a sort of double-cuff (?) and have not yet found a pattern satisfying in that regard. Which leads me to the dangerous precipice of 'Will I Make One Up Myself?'.
Will report on eventual results and hopefully progress.

After a two week vacation (one week of which was actually spent doing stuff outside my home), I have managed to finally block a sweater I had finished months ago AND get my Chattahoochee socks to a point where I only need to Kitchener one toe and sew in the ends!
The Big Soft Sweater that I am apparently cursed with for the rest of my days meanwhile still has more than half the arms left... And then the bottom hem and the collar...
