Just going to quietly come back to this blog because I once again miss my best girl.

As one might imagine, being a full time superhero that spends months in space at any given time doesn’t particularly pay well. In fact, Laelynn is more or less broke at any given time, and it is of course this reason that she doesn’t have a home. It is almost impossible to keep a steady day job when she spends so much time out in space at any given moment. 

Though her mother has offered to let her move back in, she turned it down. Her main reasoning was because though she didn’t have a lot of adversaries on earth, the last thing she wanted to do is put her mother in danger for having any connection to her. Though she does store a lot of her things at her mother’s place. So in a sense Laelynn for the most part is homeless, though it isn’t something that troubles her. She has always been the type of girl who could sleep virtually anywhere, and often does. 

However, whenever she is visiting earth she isn’t simply just sleeping on a park bench. Instead Laelynn often finds herself sleeping on her best friend’s couch. Hal Jordan ( @spacecop ) was sweet enough to give her a key to his place and so any time she needs a place to sleep she can often be found there. Though she doesn’t have any money to really pay him any source of rent, she does her best to repay him by keeping the house clean and making him his favorite foods when she does manage to get her hands on some money. 

It is an arrangement that she is rather content with, always happy to spend time with Hal, and making sure he is actually getting a proper meal in him. Though he has on occasion offered his bed when he isn’t home, she tends to stick to strictly the couch.

happy pride month! i’ve been making dash icons with this template for my friends for some time now, so i figured i would share it now that i have an actual resource blog. contains twenty-one different pride flags, with ten gender identities and eleven sexual/romantic attraction ones + the option to split the heart in half to show off two flags at once. the icon has a transparent background  ( includes a tumblr blue layer to test how it looks on the dash )  and is sized at 64x64 aka the optimal dash icon size. i have made all of the pixel hearts myself painfully slowly, so please don’t take them anywhere else without permission. the font on the optional name space is disposable droid bb. if i have missed any indentities, do shoot me a message and i’ll update the file.  like or reblog if you plan to use, and credit me in a post or otherwise so people know where they can get one!     [ 𝙳𝙾𝚆𝙽𝙻𝙾𝙰𝙳 ]

“Kara!” Laelynn practically leaped into the girl’s arms, knowing full well that she wouldn’t have any trouble catching her. She had been away on a mission for what felt like eternity so it was definitely so nice to see her friends again. “How have you been?! You haven’t done anything cool without me have you?”

1986: Laelynn was born on April 18th. 

2004: Laelynn graduated high school. 

2008: Graduated with a BA in Nursing. 

2008-2010: Worked as a RN in the ER.

2011-2013: Laelynn signed on and worked with organizations that provided medical aid to underdeveloped countries. 

2013: October of 2013 she was captured by a terrorist group and held captive for months. 

2014: February of 2014 the blue lantern ring chose her as it’s new owner, and she was able to rescue herself and the other held captive, and after became a blue lantern. 

2014-Present: Laelynn has been a Blue lantern for several years, having trained hard to hone her skills as well as help out wherever she is needed. Most of her missions tend to be out of space since earth tends to have enough heroes to keep it safe.

So she had managed to wiggle her way out of bed and decided to go about making them breakfast, it was always her way of saying thank you to Scott for letting her stay with him.. not that she really needed to say thank you at this point, but that didn’t really stop her.

“Demi! I’m tiiiiirrreeed” Laelynn whined as she practically threw herself at the other woman. Laelynn couldn’t actually remember the last time she had gotten any sleep, but that was to be expected since she had just gotten back from helping out some green lanterns in another sector of space. “Can you carry me? Pretty please?” Was Laelynn using the puppy dog eyes? Absolutely. Would she admit to it? Maybe.

Headcanon ;; The ring Atlas gives to Laelynn is made from the metal of one of her gauntlets. Using her smithing knowledge, she melted the metal and worked it into the shape you see. The crystal on top isn’t actually a sapphire, but a type of crystal with nano-technology that changes color whenever the user wishes.

Wow dat gay.

But let’s be real, Laelynn would love that ring so much, and she would definitely abuse the color changing so it can always match whatever outfit she has decided to wear.
