  ⁂   ⎼  His eyes were drawn to her camera, head slightly tilted in innocent confusion. He enjoyed the outskirts of towns, and after having been thrown from his home he figured he could start digging around piles to help himself. And of course those in need, he’d never let people who came to him for help go without. Nico’s leg bounced gently in nervousness, having trouble with socialness and strangers.

              “ Err . . . no , I’m not from here . . . sorry for intruding !

                         I guessed this place wasn’t too , inviting , but I thought this was just a pile . . . ”

 ⁂   ⎼   Fingers raised to his mouth as he whistled for his dog, the medium sized black dog running up next to him and lying down. Rosemary quieted down after the wistle, and Nico bent down to pet her head gently. The young adult started putting back the halfly broken book-shelf he had picked from the pile, his smile never breaking. He hadn’t felt distressed that he couldn’t make any progress today, he understood that this place had different rules and different kinds of people.

  ⁂   ⎼  Rain splattered across the windows of his shabby, small home. Nico has been in his library room, organizing his books while his dog calmly slept at his feet. Thunder boomed outside, a flash causing him to jump slightly and his dog to awake and growl. Rosemary was protective, ready to fight anything that was attempting to hurt the young adult. He chuckled slightly, patting his dog’s head as her black head dipped back down to sleep. He returned to his books for only a few minutes, before a knock at the door, had surprised him and his dog once more. Nico dragged himself up, shuffling towards the door and opening it to let the stranger in.

              “ It’s bad outside , isn’t it ? Here , come on in !

                                         It’s dangerous outside as it is , especially in the rain ! ”

 ⁂   ⎼  Rosemary stood alert, yet didn’t growl or make a noise. The black dog had an unspoken connection with Nico, and trusted his judgement. The young adult grabbed his coat, handing it to the young-looking girl. Figuring she might be cold due to the rain, he thought hospitality would be the best way to act.

why I like abusive ships.

I like abusive/ dysfunctional/ unhealthy ships. I like them because they’re different than the typical “fluffy” ships. I like them because their angst is different than what “normal” ships go through and the dynamic is interesting. I like abusive and dysfunctional and unhealthy ships because abusive and dysfunctional and unhealthy relationships exist and it’s important to recognize them for what they are. I am not a bad person who thinks these sort of relationships are good  and healthy, I am a person who is interested by the dynamics and character development that occurs in such ships and I am a person who believes others need to be made aware of these relationships because they actually exist. I am not justifying the actions of the characters, nor am I denying that these ships are abusive and unhealthy. I am appreciating them as plot and character development devices while acknowledging that the are abusive and unhealthy.

Tl;dr, please stop shaming people for liking abusive ships. Liking an abusive ship does not mean I support abuse.

  ⁂   ⎼  The scared boy yelped slightly after being pulled back, his heart pounding as he watched a truck drive past him at a high speed. Nico shaked his head, reality slowly coming back to the distant man. He cleared his throat, his neck-hair still on ends from his near-death experience.

              “  Oh gosh . . . I didn’t even see the road ,

                                          I’m sorry to worry you , I guess I just got lost in thought . . .  ”

 ⁂   ⎼   He sheepishly smiled, brushing off his coat with his free hand as he gently pulled his other hand from the girl’s grip. He knew he must’ve been an odd sight, a young adult completely staring off into space walking in the road. Nico looked down, shaking his head again in apology. His face was bright red with embarassement, flushed with humiliation for having to be saved.

     When Suzume touches someone she doesn’t know, it’s usually for a good reason. Often times it’s because they remind her of a friend or of a person she knows. Like NOW, hand reaching out for the brown hair individual and pulling him back. He must’ve been lost in thought, not aware of the traffic that was coming his way. 

     “ Are you- Ah, ” She let go of his arm, offering an apologetic smile for the sudden contact. “ Are you alright? That truck almost hit you- ”

    ⁂   ⎼  Life in the wasteland was something intriguing. The run-down cities with rusted door hinges, a street market with flies flying around colorful fruits and horses. It was a modern city however, there was technology around but scarce. Nico endured and thrived, pale brown hair peaking out over a pile of rust and metals. His dog, Rosemary, stood close by and watched effortlessly to protect her owner. 

               “ Look here, Rosey! We’ve got a lot of good stuff in here,

                                                  I could probably make a new shelf for us... ”

  ⁂   ⎼   He turned to his dog to state that, however instead of hearing his dog bark in joy or nudge him as a reply, he heard a low growl from the black dog. Nico quickly grabbed Rosemary, wrapping his arms around the protective dog. Green eyes scanned around the area, until he saw a figure of a girl in the distance. The young adult shook his head and laughed, patting Rosemary’s head and commanding her to lie down. Standing up, he removed the scarf that covered his mouth and went out to meet the girl.
