First Edit of Birdcall Bangerz
When I realised there was so many video tutorials on youtube by awkward middle aged men I knew I needed to make some kind of montage. I think turning it into EDM music heightens the contrast as men like this wouldn’t normally be associated with electronic music. And it’s just 2 very niche things combined to be very weird.
I then mixed in Camp Rock clip for the Metaphonica performance. But someone pointed out that it felt really jarring, and they didn’t really get the reference.

Initial idea
I had this idea for a stand up bit, where I’d talk about how my Dad has a bird whistle and they idea that maybe this owl has heard the song and fancies my dad because of it. I then thought it would be cool to liken it to the plot of Camp Rock, as he overhears her singing and is like wow i love her, even before he met her.
