Making agarbatti is one of the profitable businesses even with low investment one can start.

If you have land to cultivate bamboo and if it is not available then one can buy bamboo.

Cutting and chopping is the next step, to cut large bamboo into small pieces with a sharp knife and cutter, then cut the bark of bamboo into the required thickness and length, put them into the sunlight to dry them. Take the charcoal powder and now mix all the material to make a paste by adding perfumes, oils, sawdust in charcoal powder. At initial level one can hire two to four laborers who can help in products of agarbattis. At home one can use his/her hand to make agarbatti. Then the paste and put a bamboo stick, apply the paste over it and roll it with the help of hands.  One can make a variety of incense sticks by adding the different oil and perfumes into the charcoal paste. After rolling the last step is packaging of the stick. These can pack in the cardboard and easy to transport and can sell into the market. One can sell his agarbattis by branding them.
