Hqjupiter is a private, plot-progressive RP that is set in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic world after natural disasters wreaked havoc to the civilizations of the old world. Humanity has lived within great walls for the past one-hundred-and-fifty years in an attempt to keep the monsters that sprung up from the earth during the great crisis at bay. Our protagonists, who are employed at ROBIN CO., a small, privately-owned company that accepts any and all odd jobs, from mercenary work to gathering scrap metal, get thrown into the dark underbelly of Jupiter after accepting a job from a dead man. From dealing with monsters that slip inside the walls and antagonize poverty-stricken areas to investigating corrupt government officials, they will slowly uncover long-hidden secrets, holding the potential to alter the tragic course of humanity… that is, if they survive.

Hello my dear friends! Our first task is here! It involves a small questionnaire regarding the vision you have of your character's future. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to IM me or drop them over on the discord chat!
PART ONE. What is your character’s arc?
Every character must get their moment to shine during the plot, so this is where you tell me how you envision that moment! A good way of thinking about it is by breaking down the smaller moments that lead up to your character's ultimate growth, until we see them break out of the shell they started in. Feel free to get as specific as you need to. I will write the individual arcs into the overall narrative of the story and plot with you if I need to! I'd recommend filling this section out in bullet points, and remember to be as wild and selfish with your ideas as you want! You can also be vague about it if you prefer to leave it up to me-- just make sure you give me the endgame you see for your character, and I'll come up with a version of it that works.
PART TWO. Continuation plan in case you need to leave the RP.
This is to ensure that the story continues to flow even if someone needs to leave the group. There are two options for an exit strategy:
First option: You give the admin permission to use your character as an NPC. I will include them in plot drops only when their expertise is necessary and they will be more of a background character rather than an active member of the group.
Second option: Your character stops working at ROBIN CO. This could be for any reason. They decided to move away, got a different job, went missing mysteriously, or turned up dead. You decide!
Please specify what would happen to your character in case you decide to leave the RP after choosing either of the options listed above.
The task is mandatory and has to be sent in by July 24th. Please submit this to the main once you've filled it out!

TWO ━ The Locals, Featuring: 𝐌𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬.
The team agrees to accept the job, and thus the investigation begins in earnest. The information learned on the first night is as follows:
Hiro followed the blood trail and learned that it abruptly starts a narrow street away-- located in front is Rosette's Diner. With aid from Jace and Eriksa, she managed to perform an autopsy and determined a cause of death, however, the manner of death remains unclear⁽¹⁾. Most noteworthy, the man has heavy traces of Evo in his system.
Nerv and Fox found a potential connection to the Corps through tracking the payment code left behind by the dead man, and Angel decided not to touch it until it's cleared of suspicion.
The canvassing Sai and Fox undertook was a failure-- not only were the locals they spoke to drunk amid celebrations, they also broke out in a bar fight and drew unwated attention to themselves. After leaving the bar, Sai told Fox to go on ahead; it seemed he recognized someone who left the bar before them and decided to catch up to them on his own.
It's the next day and time for a fresh start. With some clues coming to dead ends, the team narrows in on the best leads they have. They decide to do a thorough search of District Seven in attempts to find anything amiss, from talking to locals that might have witnessed the situation to checking for any new suspicious figures that recently arrived at the district, and their strongest lead of all: the potential relationship their customer might've had with the SOLDIER Corps.

ONE ━ The First Job, Featuring: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧.

It’s the night of the summer solstice, and celebrations are at large within the Jupiter walls. To commemorate the founding of the first wall, Gossamer, which represents the first struggle of humanity against the monsters, the government authorized the only day in the year in which all citizens are granted a day off from work.
Fireworks soar among the stars, rocketing from Wall Halo and piercing the dark sky in blasts of dazzling colors that shimmer away in showers of fading sparks. As they clap in the distance, the employees of ROBIN CO. are enjoying a night among themselves, drinking and breaking bread in the familiar confines of the office rooftop.
At 11 PM, Sai, who is sitting at the edge of the rooftop, watches from behind the chain-link fence as a figure moves toward the building. The hunched stranger walks awkwardly, dragging their feet across dirt and pebble. As they draw closer, they notice another figure in the distance. They’re standing still, watching, until they feel eyes on them and swiftly disappear among the stacks of the slum.
Sai tells Angel that someone is ringing their bell, and all hell breaks loose. The group finds the body of a man lying at the entrance, where he presumably dropped after making it as far as he could. Hiromi is quick to offer support when she notices the trail of blood behind him, but it’s to no avail. As she kneels beside him and checks his pulse, the stranger has already departed from the world of the living.
Clutched in his right hand is a bloody note, with the following printed on it:
To the employees of ROBIN CO. -
Do not turn my body in to the authorities. There is a code with payment in my left pocket. Find out who killed me.
OBJECTIVES: Discuss whether or not to accept the job, examine the body / find out the cause of death & figure out what to do with the body.
CLUES: (1) The man left behind a blood trail. (2) The code is from a private, unregulated bank. (3) A stranger was seen watching the scene unfold before they disappeared into the stacks.

PASIPHAE: The strange summon does not trust you. Of course, you have no idea why. It seems that the deity within the red orb has a general distrust of anyone who isn’t AMALTHEA and ADRASTEA, but it distrusts SOLDIERS more specifically. Even though you recently left the SOLDIER corps, they turn their eyes accusingly towards you. Part of you wonders if the strange deity is more aware of the inner workings of the SOLDIER corps than it lets on, and it fills you with distress. You were only following orders.

IO: Your intention was not to leave them behind. You promised you were going to return for them and you were going to stand by your words, but the training to become a SOLDIER was longer than you had foreseen, and so much more painful. The life of a SOLDIER was nothing like you’d heard it would be. In the end, it was them who saved you. After you left the SOLDIER corps, you returned to Colosseum, only to find that they were no longer around. When you managed to track them down, it was like meeting a different person. They were working as a spy for a private company, and when you told them you had nowhere to go, they put in a word for you and your partner with METIS, the owner of ROBIN CO. It’s thanks to them that you were able to readjust back into civilian life after years in the corps.
EUROPA: They were the first and only partner assigned to you in the SOLDIER corps. Although your personalities were starkly different, when you were in battle, you adjusted to each other seamlessly. You have saved each other’s lives countless times and it’s an unspoken thing that it will always be that way. The two of you share the same views in regards to the SOLDIER corps-- you both shared in on the fleeting triumphs, but mainly on the horrors and trauma. It was no surprise when they readily agreed to leave the corps with you even if neither of you had a place to go at the time.

With a short week remaining on your permit to stay within the walls, they agreed to hire you right away and renewed it for an indefinite amount of time. As long as they had the business, they’d mentioned, you wouldn’t be out of a job. As the second person to be hired at ROBIN CO., you consider the small company more of a home than a job.

Without them, you doubt that the company would have survived half as well as it did– you doubt you would have survived. In a way, they saved you from yourself.
IO: You don’t believe in fate, but the chance encounter you had with them couldn’t have happened at a better time. Their set of skills are immeasurably valuable to you, but you know that you can’t assign a value to people, especially with the shitty paychecks you hand out. There was something more about them that you saw right away, however, you just could never distinguish it. The two of you were the only ones working at ROBIN CO. before the previous owner passed away and Metis inherited the company, and neither of you considered parting ways after Robin’s death. They didn’t have to ask you to stay, the two of you kept on taking the few jobs you’d get every now and then while the business was going through a rough patch. After the hardships you’ve endured side by side, you can communicate with a single look and rarely struggle to understand each other.

AMALTHEA: This strange and small human stole you away from the SOLDIER corps, and they changed your general perspective towards humans altogether. They were small and frail, unlike the SOLDIERS who’d previously claimed you as theirs. You have been passed from hand to hand for so long that you had forgotten how it feels to protect rather than destroy. Still, you realized, you would destroy anything for them. Their hands were not cold and controlling, they were gentle and warm, holding you as if they were afraid to harm you-- as if they were thoughtful of the strength of their fingers so that you would not be caged between them.
EUROPA: You do not trust the SOLDIER corps, and while you are well aware that they’re a civilian now, you cannot trust the experiments a SOLDIER goes through. It leaves behind residue, and you have no faith in Jupiter’s government. Not only that, their personality is less than likeable. Every encounter with them leaves you with an odd feeling, but you can’t put a finger on it. All you know is that they unnerve you to no end.

Offering you and your sibling protection, you were essentially raised by them. They taught you magic and ways of defending yourself in the harsh world you were born in, and you consider them your guardian deity.
ADRASTEA: The two of you have always been together. As your older sibling, they are your other half. Despite being the younger of the two, you have never been able to shake off the sense of responsibility you feel over them, even though neither of you are children anymore. You’ve been through the thick and thin together; from exploring abandoned train yards when you were children to being taught magic together. While there is a clear difference between the two of you, you share similar philosophies. They are always more openly willing to help anyone in need while you have the tendency to at least check if someone is trustworthy, but in the end, neither of you can turn your backs on someone.

In battle, the two of you are a force to be reckoned with; a stronghold of defense and offense. It doesn’t help your foes that the two of you know each other like the backs of your own hands.
LYSITHEA: People always say that you’re no good judge of character, always helping anyone and everyone, but you disagree. They caught your attention as soon as you met them. It might’ve been their stiff shoulders-- it appeared that they were carrying something heavy and the first thought that popped into your brain was that you wanted to help them carry it. Even though they’re better with words than anyone you’ve ever met, they cannot fully disguise the weariness behind their eyes, and you can’t help but want to learn more about it.
