Where do I begin when it comes to Arno Victor Dorian. 

I mainly got my PS4 to play Unity, and when I read that Arno and Élise were star-crossed lovers I got super excited. Of course, I heard very little about Unity itself other than the game was super glitchy, and it was only upon entering the fandom that I learned how hated Arno was, I was actually told by someone that I was better off renting Unity because the game frankly sucked. 

I took Syndicate for a spin first and I was really :/ with it. Were was the backstory for the twins? I did like half of the first mission with Jacob before switching to Unity. 

I didn’t know what I was in for when I began the game. Arno quickly intrigued me as a child, as did Élise. Yet when I got to play as a grown Arno, oooh boy. The first thing I noticed was that he grew from a cute kid to a drop dead gorgeous man, and he had a sense of humor. He was a sassy little shit with a charming smile and a good heart. The second was that there was just something about him, a spark, a zing… something that captured me both body, heart and soul.

Arno is incredibly human. Typical young man enjoying the life of high society. While many people liken this attitude with Ezio, the dividing line between Arno and Ezio is that Arno is extremely faithful towards  Élise (bowden can go suck a dick, Arno didn’t fool around at all.) 

He’s also kinda lazy as he didn’t want to put much effort into getting the letter to Francois de la Serre. This comes to bite him in the butt and he feels utterly gutted when he learns it’s indirectly his fault for Francois de la Serre’s death. Failing to deliver the letter was a stupid mistake on his part. 

This is something I can strongly as I’ve made stupid mistakes with heavy consequences attached to him. He seeks out to redeem himself in the yes of  Élise and himself. A course of action I can relate to. 

Arno is plagued by guilt of his mistakes, another thing I understand (seriously, I’ll be driving along and I’ll think about ALL THE MISTAKES I made in the past). 

Arno is also intelligent, something you can see in the way he makes his quips and sassy comments. He has a very sharp mind. 

He’s more extroverted that most introverts, but considering  Élise is like his only close person we know of, this leads to the fact he struggles making friends (another thing I connect with).

He’s skeptical, I’m too am skeptical about things. 

He does things his way, something that I do as well. 

Arno is very logical, though sometimes he thinks with his heart. (As an INTP I consider myself pretty logical, but I sometimes make choices base on my emotions)

All in all, Arno is not only my favorite Assassin, but my favorite character n the series. There is just something about him that I instantly connected with. He has a sharp mind and a generous kind heart, a sweet and loving person that is strong in his convictions. I simply love him.

Incredible sense of style

Probably more attractive and good-looking than at least 99.7% of all the existing human population

Probably low-key realizes he’s in a video game

Has arguably the some of the best lines/quotes in the franchise

Keeps a journal and writes love letters, so probably has beautiful penmanship and handwriting

Has a clear-headed and balanced worldview on the Assassin-Templar conflict (i.e. most probably because he thinks both the Templars and Assassins are absolutely insane)

Makes an eloquent and heartfelt speech on WHY DOGMA IS BAD FOR YOU (again, probably related to him thinking both the Assassins + Templars are insane)

Better Than You, good at Absolutely Everything, but Classy AF about it and not at all pretentious (okay maybe a little)
