I know we’ve talked about more kids but haven’t actually planned for more kids but now that it might be happening we have fears so maybe we should just sit down and talk, I picked up some tests so I can take them.

I know from the bottom of my heart that I would be the luckiest man in the world to have more children with you. I’m sure I’ll get over my fears one way or another, but I don’t want that to feel like I’m saying I wouldn’t be happy about baby number two. But I think talking about it so we’re on the same page wouldn’t hurt. Let me know when you take them and I’ll be there.

Describe your perfect day?

April 25th, always April 25th. All you need is a light jacket.

It probably starts with spending the morning with my son, playing with him and writing down music. I try to strum up my guitar for at least a few hours a day, Really any day waking up and going to bed knowing Phoenix is safe and happy and watching him grow up has become pretty perfect in my book.

One thing you hate?

When people put the left earphone in their right ear and vice versa. If you do that, it’s tacky and I hate you. That gives me some bad anxiety.

Favorite song you wrote?

Beside You, which was a song off of our first EP, has to be my favourite song. I still cry when I listen to it now, knowing about how far we’ve come from them to now. I’ll always keep it close to my heart.

Are you happy ?

I am. Of course you have your off days, as we all do. But for the moment, I’m very happy.

You know I was thinking about that, I’m sure we’re both feeling overwhelmed with a one-year-old but part of me also thinks if I were to take a pregnancy test and it was positive that we could do this.

You and I both know that I want all of the babies with you, I don’t understand why I’m so hesitant. I guess it’s because I don’t want our son to feel neglected in any way. Not that he would be, I just have that fear.

Some things tend to change, don’t they? I know when Madison was pregnant with Phoenix I did the same thing and got offended when he would kick back at first because I thought he didn’t like me already. But now he’s always kicking his legs so it’s just the way he’s wired. That sounds like they’ll get along great when he’s born.

Kids are clever aren’t they? They’re basically human alarm clocks that go off too early at this point. Were they having fun?

I’m entirely convinced my son knows something I don’t know because today he just kept poking at my abdomen and repeated the word little over and over again. he’s got me freaking out a little bit but I know it could also be nothing.
