Unbound Unleashed

Okay, so first off, that the name of my reality, my “world” that all my Warrior Cat stories are set in, beginning with Frosted Tinder. Second of all, I have literally only read the first series, along with Firestar’s Quest and in all honesty, I’m not all that inclined to read anymore. It’s an interesting concept but from what I’ve been able to gather from fanfiction and various people ranting on the subject the quality doesn’t keep. Not that it’s that impressive in the first place...

Anyway.

So it’s time for me to actually start posting stuff here. Aside you know, the culture pages that give you a basic overview of everything. Cats and Dogs.

Aka the two societies that make up the world of my stories. The Jägers and the Warriors. One side is pretty obvious considering that they’re the entire canon that I’m basing my stories in, the other was created because I have a leaning okay. Also it just really bugs me how dogs are generic evil characters in the books... At least from what I can tell, also stupid dog jokes that seem to be common in this kind of situation. So I decided to come up with a solution for my own universe.

Therefore the Jäger Dogs were created. With a more day culture to the Warrior Cats night one. Also German, because hey it fits better. Also personal reasons are personal. And straight away I had to make some other differences, such as the obvious two leaders rather than one, but also regarding the raising of pups(by both parents) and how they interact with their neighbors the warrior cats verses how the cats regard them.

Of course, this is only a small overview and glance, so I’ll be expanding on it all at some point in the future.

That said though, I’ll be honest. I don’t know near enough about feline genetics to accurately portray them, and while I know a bit more about canine genetics, that’s only because we used to inadvertently end up with puppies all the time because of the neighborhood dogs so I know generally how they work because of experience. Also, I’ve kept the Healers/Heilers using the same stuff as in the books because trying to find accurate resources for natural medications for cats/dogs is a headache that I can’t deal with unfortunately. So any of the “remedies” I post here in the section talking about medicine... well please do not actually use them with your pets. That would be highly ill-advised. But also, I’ll be making up some plants, and items for medicine as well because really, who knows how many younger people will be reading my writing. Also that said, this is set in an alternate universe again. Just so I can add certain animals into the world around them, and explain some of the odder events in the canon.

Moving onto my final point. I would like to recommend a fanfiction/rewrite of the entire series over @warriorsredux it’s awesome! Just awesome. And also, their work has inspired quite a fair bit of my worldbuilding, although, I have taken my own spin on things, and kept the medicine cat position because unfortunately I don’t have the creativity to properly fix it.
