Hugfia Week, Day 3 AU

The Princess and The Prince of Thieves

Sofia was known to be the Princess of Enchancia. She used to be a village girl in the village which is why she has a closer relationship with the villagers. Even if she's now the princess of Enchancia, she still enjoys being there.

As she grew older. Since she's not gonna be the heir of the throne, she'd decided to train as a protector of her kingdom. Just like her brother.

Nobody in her kingdom knows about it except her family and friends, cause she thinks that it's best to remain a secret. And it did.

When she was just having a secret patrol in her village and decided to go home with some ice cream, that's a bit far away from other houses. There are currently only few people since it's already closing. Which is a perfect opportunity for thieves to attack.

Sofia was about to eat her favorite flavored strawberry ice cream, she heard loud noises behind her. Before she could respond what's going on, she saw a guy with black hair and dark green eyes knock her out.

The thieves who are called Black Ice, have been known to be constantly stealing banks, restaurants, and shops. They are known to be the kingdom of thieves, for they can't be easily caught and it's been years but it's still an active thieves group. For they are being well trained and well strategize by their leader named Hugo, who hides behind the name the Ice Prince. For he is the prince of thieves. He used to be a beggar who was about to loose his life, since he still has his fellow brothers in the streets who needs to be fed. Which is why he has no choice but to live his life this way in order to provide all of them.

"Is everyone knocked out and tied." He asked his men.

"All down brother!" Desmond answered. Gently placing the citizen and checking the tied ropes to make sure no one's gonna go after them.

"Let's better hurry, before the village guards finds out we're here. We have to take something home for our guild." He ordered and everyone is taking the things that they will need. They were here for the money but Hugo thinks that he should take something special for his family and that is ice cream.

"Hey Hugo look!" Hugo heard his brother called, waving him to come.

He took off the cloak of the stranger I knocked out earlier, revealing she was a lady. She has soft white skin, She is wearing something like a hunter or a high position knight clothing that is very unusual for a girl to wear. Caramel brown hair that's tied into a ponytail. But what really stand out the most is her tiara and her pink amulet, that I can tell right away that this girl is the princess of Enchancia, Sofia.

"She's a princess Hugo, what are we gonna do?" Desmond ask, a little worried like we're in big trouble.

"What's with that tone Desmond? Isn't this a great thing? We can just hold her as hostage and demand the king for a fortune of money and treasures." Axel joined in, squeezing the knocked out princess's cheek.

Hugo's POV

"I don't think that's a great idea big brother. If we do that the king is gonna order all his soldier as they hunt down our home, including other kingdoms that is allied in Enchancia. It's best to leave her alone." I spoke, making sure the action we take don't get us into trouble.

I look at the princess who is out cold and I gotta admit, she's very pretty. I scanned her looks wondering why did someone from the castle go to the village and with this outfit?

"How about we'll take something expensive from this princess..." It seems like she brought nothing. The only thing I found valuable is her crown and her... "This necklace looks very expensive-"

I was about to grab it until I was surprised that a very strong grip stopped me. I look at the owner of the hand, it's not my brothers nor anyone around this room but the princess.

I looked at her as she got up, revealing her fierce ocean blue eyes burning in rage towards me. "Don't. You. Dare. Touch. My. Amulet. My father gave it to me, this is too precious!"

She speak in a low tone expressing anger, but before I can even react she punch my face that took me flying across the room to the walls. It must be her pay back for knocking her out earlier. I manage to stay conscious, when I looked at her amulet it was glowing revealing that it's magical.

While I'm still trying to get up. My brothers are going after her to stop her from attacking me. But she managed to spar them with her sword that seems to be magical, even her punch and kicks are strong to make someone fly. She even gets to shape shift into an animal that is strong, she can even fly as a fairy. As few minutes past, she manage to defeat all 50 thieves from the Black Ice.

"Now it's your turn." She pointed her sword towards me with anger on her eyes. It was threatening but I somehow find it attractive. She charge at me with full speed, and my brothers cried out in worries. I managed to draw out my weapon. Both of our sword clash that creates a strong wind.

We were glaring at each other and staring at each other's eyes. The longer I looked to her, her glares may be scary, but she was darn cute. I smirk at the thought that this lady is really... My type.

"You... You're this famous prince of thieves who leads the Black Ice." She grumbled, but it fails to scare me but it made me smile.

"Yep, the one and only Ice Prince. But you can all me Hugo my lady. And I'm guessing you're this famous Princess Sofia of Enchancia, the hero of this Kingdom." I get up and manage to recover from the pain of her punch. Giving a peck on her hand as greeting. She raised a brow, confuse at my response. "Even though you're known to be in dresses and staying at a castle, what are you doing here in this village?"

She pulled her hand away from mine, still glaring at me. "Don't be so casual to me Ice Prince! I've heard so many rumours about your recent attack through every villages, you've given so many problems in our kingdoms! I'm here to arrest you."

She spoke to her amulet, "Amulet, I called James to bring soldiers to the village's ice cream shop. The Black Ice are here..."

Her amulet glowed. As she continue to draw out her sword and charge after me.

Third POV

They were battling, their sparring took longer with Hugo flirting with her and teasing her. Until the fought ended with Sofia's sword skills and traping him to the ground.

Hugo's POV

"Hugo the Ice Prince and the leader of the Black Ice. You are under arrest for stealing shops and banks, kingdom to kingdom. You bring enough harm to all of us." She declared, pulling the collar of my shirt and pointing a sword to my throat.

Our face were so close and I can hear my heart is beating faster than ever before. It was a love at first sight with this girl, even though I never believe in those things and think it's a ridiculous way to fall in love. She's just so beautiful and strong, there's something about her that is so special when I look at those eyes. I just can't take it anymore.

I smirked at this beautiful sight and also pulling her collar towards me, before she could asked and form a sentence, I silenced her with my lips. I can her hear yelp in surprise between our kiss. She was trying to pull away by letting go of her sword and push me, but I also do the same with mine and hold her hands tightly. Deepening our kiss.

I have never thought of myself as being forceful to a lady before. I promised myself that even if I'm a thief I'll still keep my good side especially to a girl that I will like. But she's a different story, I'm a thief and she's a princess who's gonna arrest me, and I also don't wanna let her go.

After enjoying her touch, I finally let go and let her breath. She looked at me in shock.

"Sorry about that, you're just too cute princess" I smiled at her, and I can see her face slowly turning red in embarrassment. "If I'm really going to prison, then I will never regret kissing a strong pretty lady like you."

"Y-you.. you jerk!"

I winked but I met a very hard impact to my cheek, though it doesn't really hurt cause I really meant what I say to her.

She was gonna slap me with my other cheek, though this time I caught her hand and pull her closer, whispering through her ears with my lowest voice. "I like you, you're going to be my most precious treasure princess, you're mine now. I won't allow anybody, not even another prince to take you."

I let her go and we stare at each other. Her eyes looks confuse, not knowing what to respond. I sigh, as much as I wanted this moment to last forever, I can't afford me and my brothers nor my family to get arrested.

I snapped my finger and shouted, "Now Derek!"

The ceiling opened with our guild's magic. Revealing a bunch of dark carriages, I can see all of my guild mates, which is also my family, throwing rope ladders for my brother's to retreat to.

"What the! What's going on!" I can hear Sofia shout in anger.

I whistled with my fingers, loud enough for my horse Electra to come to me. I hop on her and look at the princess. She was about to charge me with her magic sword, but this time I manage to catch her sword with my magic.

"I'm called the Prince of Thieves for a reason Sofia, I use magic too and I never get captured that easily." I gave her a victorious smile, I can see her face looking very angry and also disappointed.

"You tricked me with those dirty moves and pick up lines. Is this what you use to any girls you fought with?" She ask, clearly disappointed being taken advantage of being girl.

I caress her face as I give a quick peck on her forehead, and patting her. To assure her. "Nope, you're the first lady that I ever treated this way. Even I don't expect to feel this way towards anyone."

Third POV

He smiled and suddenly flew away with his horse, when he saw the Commander James charging at them with arrows and chasing them down. "Stay away from my sister!"

As Hugo flew away, he smiled and shouted to her.

"Goodbye Princess, I'll see you again soon! If other prince tries to steal you away from me, I promise I'll steal you first!" He left, revealing he also steal her tiara. "If the amulet is too precious to you, I'll take this one instead dear! Goodbye for now my lady!"

He left and Sofia gritted her teeth, but she was completely flustered. She doesn't have the will to fight and go after them, leaving it to James. But they weren't able to catch them.

She was completely angry as she walk home with her brother, not being able to capture the greatest thief of the kingdom. She felt her heart tingling and beating just by thinking about him.

She felt dizzy at the feeling. She touched her lips, remembering the pressure he placed on her lips. Feeling frustrated about it.

"How dare he... Out of all people, why him?"

Not only did he steal her first kiss, he also steal her heart.

Just a dance.

It’s Ambers coronation party, Hugo and Sofia share a dance.

This is my entry for the first prompt of the Hugfia Appreciation Week 2021! Day 1 - Celebration. ps: english it’s not my first lenguage let me know if there’s any mistakes!

Sofia never were as fond of those celebrations as Amber was. Yes, of course she loved parties just like everyone else, but her sister made things too extra for her own taste. She walked around the ballroom politely greeting their guests. Royals from all across the EverRealm had come to Enchancia to celebrate Amber’s coronation. Her sister was finally queen! And a great one she would become.

Amber was just about to start conversation with the king and queen of Zumaria when of the corner of her eye Sofia saw Lucinda waving at her. She said her goodbyes quickly and made her way towards her friend.

“Lucinda! I’m glad you made it” Sofia hugged her friend, with a big smile on her face.

“I wouldn’t miss the party for the world.” The witch answered. “Sorry I couldn’t get her sooner, I needed to get some stuff ready for tomorrow”

“Oh, yeah. Are you still taking the young witched on a trip to the Mystic Meadows then?”

“You bet! They are really excited about it.”

A waiter walked by, waiting for them to take a drink each before going away.

“I wish I could go with you, but I have to spend the whole day helping Amber with something about laws I think.” Which wasn’t as exciting as visiting the most amazing sorcerers and witches of the whole Realm, but I would have to do. “Anyways, have you seen Jade and Ruby? I lost track of them after the ceremony”

Lucinda finished her drink before answering. “Last time I saw them they were talking with the girl with a dragon. I’m sorry I can’t never remember your royal friend’s names.”

“Oh, Vivian!” She had bought Crackle for her to see Clover, that’s true. Maybe they were in the garden then, that’s were Clover loved to hide during this type of loud parties. “Thanks Lucinda, I’ll see you around.”

Sofia left her empty glass on a nearby table and walked towards one of the exist that lead to the garden. She was just about to open the door when a hand grabbed her by the shoulder and made her turn around.

“I almost didn’t catch you!”

“Hugo! Hi, I’m glad you’re here. I didn’t see you before.” Sofia didn’t think twice and hug her friend. She hasn’t seen Hugo in a long time, actually.

“Yeah we got to the ceremony a bit late, and just stood in the back.” The prince returned the hug, stroking Sofia’s back up and down a few times before letting her go. “Axel couldn’t find her formal crown or whatever. He’s been all over the place since his coronation… It’s good to see that Amber got all under control for hers”

“Are you kidding? Amber has been preparing for this day since Tilly’s weeding. This was already half-way done.” She chuckled, everyone in every kingdom knew about Amber’s style of doing things. “I was going to look for Vivian, do you want to come?”

“Oh, I was actually hoping for… Well, maybe… A dance with you?”

Words came a bit tangled from the prince mouth, but they were just right on time as the orchestra started to play some waltz-like music. True, it was Amber’s first dance as queen. Roland was taking her to the center of the room. God, her gown was almost as big as the chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

“If this is only her coronation I wonder how her weeding is going to be” Whispered Hugo into Sofia’s ear, making her giggle. “So… Do I have this dance?”

“Of course, Hugo.”

Sofia joined her father and sister on the dancing floor. And soon after even more couples joined. Hugo’s hand was gently placed over Sofia’s waist.

The princess had to look up to be able to actually look at him into his eyes, and for the first time since forever she realized how pretty they were… Almost as sparkly as the most beautiful emerald on the castle. For a moment it was like time had stopped, she couldn’t hear the music or the people anymore… Only Hugo and herself. The prince’s voice brought her back to reality not long later.

“I didn’t have time to say it but, you look beautiful tonight Sofia.”

“Thank you, Hugo… You look very handsome as well. Red really is your color.” And red her cheeks were starting to become as well.

“You know, we… We actually will be hosting a party next week. Axel is getting engaged.” He got closer to her, to be able to whisper that on her ear. It was a secret after all. “So I was wondering. Would you like to come…? I mean, you are coming, of course we’re inviting everyone but.” Hugo stopped right there, taking the time to take a deep breath and clear his throat. “Would you like to come? As my date. That’s what I wanted to say.”

“You know what? I would love to, Hugo. Thank you.” She nodded a few times. It was so easy for Hugo to look into her eyes and see that sparkle of joy that he loved so much.

They kept on dancing for the rest of the night, simply enjoying the feeling of being in each other’s arms.

Hugfia week 2021. Day three- AU

(I thought about it all night until a toddler AU come to me because why not?)

It used to be just her and Mommy.

Now it was Mommy, Daddy, big sister, big brother, big brother’s doggie, and people she didn’t know since her mommy married the king.

Lately big brother and big sister had been putting toys out of her reach in the hopes she’d crawl to one of them.

Sofia may have been one but she wasn’t stupid. Big brother and big sister were frustrating to her when they took the cuddly, chewy toys away.

So when Daddy said she was getting all the toys to herself for a play date, Sofia squealed in delight with her only disappointment being the boy as her playmate.

Hugo, as Mommy and Daddy called him, was a few months older than her and could crawl with little to no effort.

That made Sofia feel grumpy, watching as he crawled towards the pile of toys. She sat there, eyeing him as if to say “those my toys!” with her lips forming a small pout.

Maybe if she cried then Mommy or Daddy or the Baileywick man would stop Hugo from taking her toys.

Before she could get her bottom lip to quiver, Sofia looked down in surprise.

In her lap was the bunny toy she’d been wanting for weeks but could never get due to big brother and big sister wanting her to crawl.

“Fia like?” Hugo asked.

Sofia nodded, looking up and smiling upon seeing the flying horse toy in his arms. “Hank you.”

Hugo beamed.

To their parents, it was only babbling but Sofia caught the warm smile on Mommy’s face

Daddy was smiling too as was Hugo’s daddy.

Neither Hugo and Sofia understood why, playing and sharing with each other until nap time.

Once Upon A Dream

Royal Prep is doing Sleeping Beauty for this year’s play. This is my entry for the Hugfia Appreciation Week 2021! Day 2 - Fairy Tales ps: english it’s not my first lenguage let me know if there’s any mistakes!

Royal Prep was known for their incredible programs that were there to help the future Kings, queens and advisors from all around the Ever Realm become better people. But the truth is, kids just want to have fun. And that’s why Miss Elodie’s class was always full. Even the kids that didn’t enjoy theatre that much like being in her plays. And they were just about to graduate so that was one of their last chances of doing something together.

Miss Elodie had decided that the play this time would be The Tales of the Sleeping Beauty! She even got Flora, Fauna and Merryweather to help her with the details of the play. And today was the day she was finally going to assign roles! The auditorium was full of noise, princess and prince whispering in every corner.

“God, I hope I get to do costumes this time too!” Amber sat next to Sofia and Clio, looking as bright as usual. “Aurora’s gown is the most beautiful gown ever!”

“I’m sure you get it, you’re the best for that Amber.” Sofia nodded, agreeing with Clio’s words. “Who do you think will get the role of Prince Phillip?”

“Desmond tried out for that part, maybe he will get it” Said Sofia

“I’m not sure about that” Amber looked to the other side of the theatre, where all the boys were seated. “He doesn’t look like a Phillip to me.”

“Then maybe James, or even Zandar” Sofia followed her sister’s eyes, yeah, James would be a nice Phillip. He had already fought a dragon and everything.

“I think Zandar actually tried out for the role of king” Came Vivian’s voice, from the row in front of them. The princess had turned her head back to them, with a shy smile on her face.

“Oh, come on. Everyone know the prince part of going to be Hugo’s.” Maya joined their conversation, looking at them with a smirk.

“Well, he is still the most popular prince of the school after all.” Amber said, and everyone had to agree to it.

The conversation couldn’t go on because Miss Elodie finally made her entrance. She stood on the center of the stage, looking over the children with a kind smile on her face. A big stack of papers laid on her hands, probably the scripts for the actors and the task list for the ones that didn’t like to be in the play but wanted to help.

“Thanks for your patient everyone! Now, I’m going to be going over the cast list in just a second, ok? But I’m going to be keeping the roles of Phillip and Aurora a surprise until the very end!”

The teacher voice sounded loud and clean, she knew how to make herself heard in a room full of excited kids.

“Okay, let’s start but wait until the end to celebrate, okay? I need this to be fast!” She cleared her throat a few times before starting to speak again. “Now, for the role of King Stefan and Queen Leah… Prince Zandar and Princess Clio. For Maleficent we have… Oh yeah, Princess Zoey! And for the three fairies we have Maya, Jun and Kari. King Hubert will be Prince James.”

She kept on assigning other small roles for a few minutes. Finally, Miss Elodie stepped down the stage, walking through the seats, handling down scripts until only two of them were on her hands.

“And now, for the roles of Prince Phillip and Princess Aurora… Prince Hugo and Princess Sofia! Congratulations, everyone. You can celebrate now.”

She, once again, handed the scripts to the kids, first Sofia and then Hugo. Soon enough everyone was up and chatting away, the room filled with noise again. Hugo approached Sofia, holding his script tight on his hands.

“Hey, congrats on getting the big part, Sofia!”

“Thanks! It’s actually pretty easy… I only need to sleep and wait for you to wake me up!” Sofia giggles. “I’m glad you got Phillip’s part. It suits you, actually.”

Hugo’s face became pink suddenly, he wasn’t expecting those words from Sofia. He wanted to say something nice back to her, but he didn’t have the time. Sofia told him goodbye and left the theater with the rest of the princesses. Rehearsals didn’t start until tomorrow after school so at least he had some time to think about what he could say to her.

Sofia was his best girl friend, that’s for sure. But he had to be honest with himself, lately he hasn’t seen her only as a friend and that scared him a lot. That feeling was new for him, and Hugo didn’t even know what to do with it. Hugo tried talking to his brother about it, but the conversation wasn’t as rich as he expected and his father wasn’t going to help either. So yes, he was lost.

Once the next day arrive Hugo couldn’t even concentrate on his classes, all he could think about was rehearsals. And when the time came he stood there, in the theater’s doors.

“Are you coming or not, Hugo?” James asked, waiting for him on the other side of the door.

His friend’s voice shook him out of that stupid trance he found himself in. Come on, he had already performed with Sofia before, during the Ice Skating Recital… This shouldn’t be that much different.

“Okay everyone, attention please!” Miss Elodie clapped her hands a few times. “People who will be making props and backdrops will be using the left side of the stage and actors the other side, understood? Try and not bother each other so much. Now… Amber needs Sofia, Maya and Jun for costume and the rest of us will stay and practice some scenes.”

Once everyone was on their way the actors started to rehearse their parts. After a few tries Hugo finally was able to calm himself. Yeah, that wasn’t so bad after all. He was having so much fun and being part of the main part of the play… that was awesome!

“That was amazing, kids!” Miss Elodie congratulated them, grabbing the script next to her, looking over the papers for a few seconds. “Where’s Mike? We need to go over the fight with the dragon scene”

“He is sick today, Miss Elodie.” Clio answered, sitting down on the stage floor, looking over her shoulder to where Hildegard was giving directions to the backdrop painters.

“Oh, well… Who wants to fill for Mike for today then?”

“Oh, I’ll do it! I’ve been inside of a dragon costume before. I have the experience.” Said James, walking towards the prop.

“I think that’s the strangest thing I’ve heard today… But okay! Just be careful, James.”

And he was. Just not for long. Hugo and James were fighting like the scene was a real battle, but they really got carried away in the heat of the moment. Amber was coming out from the back of the stage in that same moment, to show Miss Elodie how the dresses were turning out, but of course James had to get in her way, making the princess trip all over the stage.

Paint was thrown, props were ruined and people were mad. Amber finally landed right next to a beautiful painting of a ballroom, work of Hildegard herself. She tried to get up on her own, only to ended up slipping on a puddle of paint next to the buckets and brushes.

“James! I’m going to kill you!” She screamed, kicking a bucket next to her foot.

Hugo was too busy trying to hold back his laughter to realize the bucket was going for his feet. Luckily for him Sofia saw it and was able to be right on time to catch him once he tripped on it. Yeah, Hugo wasn’t expecting to end up in Sofia’s arm, that’s for sure.

“I don’t think this is how the story goes, you know?” He managed to joke about it, good move, yes.

“Yeah… But I don’t mind saving you here and there, Hugo” The princess giggled, looking right into the prince eyes.

Maybe sharing the protagonist role with Sofia wasn’t going to be so bad after all.
