What Actually Happened Yesterday :

On August 16th, news of Deng Wei suffering from heatstroke while filming the film "TDOSAL" in Hengdian, along with the news of his heatstroke, gripped fans.

Filming First Scene : Under the scorching sun, which felt like over 42°C, he was wrapped in layers of armor and a fur-collared mink cape. His entire costume weighing 5 kilograms.

Despite experiencing persistent nausea and unsteadiness, he gritted his teeth and pushed through his second scene (the 2nd Scene is the clip I posted yesterday. In civilian garment), only being taken to the hospital when he could no longer bear it. Although his studio confirmed he was safe and "resting after emergency treatment," fans watching him frailly leave the set, were both heartbroken for his dedication and worried about his health.

From the eyewitness accounts, one can imagine the sheer intensity of the situation. The sun in Hengdian that day was blindingly hot. The ground warm enough to fry an egg. Deng Wei's costume, with its inner armor weighing over three kilograms. Its outer mink cape with a fur collar so thick and heavy it felt like a blanket. An extra secretly snapped a photo of him waiting for his turn, revealing sweat dripping down his forehead and soaking his hair. Yet, he continued to review the details of his movements with the director without a single complaint.

It was not until the first scene was finished, and Deng Wei was resting under a tree, that he revealed his discomfort. (The first scene is a fighting scene. Where he wears the heavy armor).

Witnesses on the set reported that Deng Wei was feeling nauseous and unsteady while filming. But he persevered through the second scene before seeking medical attention. Medical warnings indicate that heatstroke can develop into a fatal heat stroke

Prop hazard : During filming, Deng Wei was scratched on the face by a hairpin worn by an opposing actress. And needed to apply ice to reduce swelling. But the crew did not adjust their positioning or props.
