So I resorted to combing AliExpress to find some knee high cheap boots that can be deconstructed for studying.
I present to you with minimal comment, some of the ugliest boots I discovered in the process.

Yes I did eventually find what I needed, and I may have been tempted by several of these monstrosities had they not been unfathomable in pricing and sizing structure.
