First character introduction!!

The first character I’m going to post here is Noah Novem, my own character! Though his name is Noah, most people just call him NoNo. NoNo is a largely unremarkable person, he spent his years as that one kid who sits in the corner and reads, a bookworm in every sense of the word. He grew to have a real love of words, but no real social skills (or critical thinking, if we’re being honest). Still, he’s optimistic and energetic, and he tries to make sure that's enough.

After meeting a mysterious old man in his stationary shop who gave him a mysterious book, NoNo began to live the life of his dreams. It was just like the kind of thing he used to read! He was chosen to be the last Wordsmith, a type of magician who uses Verbal Magics. They had been slowly dying out, but the last Wordsmith before NoNo had passed down a spellbook called the Grandiose Grimoire and an entrance to an entire Archaic Archive full of information about the Wordsmiths to him, hoping he could slowly but surely restore the Wordsmiths to their former glory.

While admittedly kinda cliché, NoNo was enjoying his new task. He loved learning all about the Wordsmiths! He just had one issue… How was he going to find more new Wordsmiths to restore them when he could barely socialize enough to run his own shop?? And how was he supposed to learn enough about the practices of the Wordsmiths in the mountain of books that is the Archive???

While NoNo has no existing art as of yet, I'll be sure to let you all know when a first design is finished! I'm also working on some other characters synopses in the background, so hopefully the next post to this blog will be from one of the other people running this project with me. We hope you enjoy!!

What is HypoGame?

HypoGame, short for Hypothetical Game, is a small project started with a group of my friends. The premise is fairly simple, we come up with a bunch of ideas for a game that isn’t real, just a hypothetical. I’m sure you see where the name comes from. Each member has at least one character in this game, and each character will have their own storyline. This Tumblr blog was started because we (mostly I) wanted to share our project with the world in hopes that other people might come to love the little guys we made too. While I’m the one who started this account, and probably the one who’s going to post on it the most, keep an eye out for the others! They all have access to post on here too. We hope you all enjoy looking at our silly little guys and their tidbits of stories and interactions!
