OK LISTEN:
one guy liked me while i had a crush on him but ended up dating his current gf (who i introduced him to). another one says he doesn’t mind things happening between me and him and is always so kind to me. one wrote me a beautiful letter on valentine's day and spent the sweetest words on describing me. another one dedicated me gorgeous by taylor swift, and the most recent one cuddled with me the whole night. oh, and another one called me the most beautiful girl he's ever seen at the club just a couple of weeks ago hahaha
guess which one i'm into atm!!

I was thinking: every sound is made up of sine waves. When you convert an mp3 to a midi, it measures these sine waves and stores their time, pitch and volume as notes.
So it follows, if you load the midi and play a sine wave for every note, it should reassemble the recording, right?
Yep.

Bruh there's something comforting in knowing that no matter what I do or where I am, some part of me is always back here or back there with those characters and those stories that changed me, sometimes in small ways, sometimes in fundamental ways. And I know it's not real, but it's nice to imagine, to feel, that no matter what's going on with me, somewhere out there teenage boys in armor are chasing things that go bump in the night and two kids are experiencing a love story on the streets of New York and princesses and kings are sleeping underground while a group of friends are becoming family, orange cars are driving the streets, Spiderman is off to school, horses are being raised and raced by another love story on a faraway Celtic isle, and adventures are happening even if I'm not there to see them. But man is my heart out there with them

When celebrities like Harry Styles say the equivalent of “Oh you’re from Israel? Cool” it doesn’t mean that they approve of every single decision the Israeli government has ever made. Stop lumping in every Israeli person and all Israeli culture with its government. I see this happen to Israel more than any other country- why is that? Why did you never react similarly when anyone said “Oh cool, you’re from America” when Trump was president? Be mindful that Israel has the largest population of Jews in the world, and Jews are a tiny minority worldwide. It’s necessary to criticize Israel’s government, but leave the rest of Israel out of it. It comes off as antisemitic fo treat any mention of the only Jewish majority state in the world as an endorsement of its government when you don’t do that to any other country to the same extent

Can we talk about how Andrew!Peter felt the need to defend his ability to cure Connors?
Like he immediately offers to make the cure for Connors because he has done it before. The other two are completely fine with this declaration and don’t even look like they question his ability. Andrew!Peter seems to expect they would though so he starts trying to defend himself and his ability and re-affirms he can do it and quickly enough to match their pace. Tom! Peter and Tobey! Peter agree with his statement and just look at him with a “well of course you can we never though otherwise” look and Andrew! Peter seems so flustered at their complete trust of his scientific genius.
Both a cute moment and a sad one. He clearly thinks he isn’t as smart or as good of a Spider-man as the other two which Tobey!Peter works quite hard to repair. Poor guy has taken some massive blows to his self image and is clearly still working on bringing his confidence back. I really feel like this movie helped him get it back. Between the pep talks about how smart and amazing he is to his redemption when saving MJ. I feel like he can go back to his world with more confidence and a lightness to the weight he has been carrying since TASM2.

i see why people are so quick to hate on celebrities. they are the image of perfection, they are idealised to the point that only a few truly know the person behind the character. they are seen as someone to imitate, an ideal that, by definition, us common people will never be able to incorporate in our life. we have expectations about models, singers, actors, especially if young: we are taught that they are perfect because they have no flaws, and that they do not ever do anything wrong. we paragonate ourselves to them, and see how miserable we are in comparison. they have managed to become rich, therefore achieveing the ideal of materialistic success that everyone seems to chase nowadays. we, on the other hand, are stuck in our own little house, no crowd chanting our name, no fans wanting to die for us, no people to make us feel like what we have been doing here has been of any meaning whatsoever. and on top of not feeling emotionally accomplished, we also struggle economically. it is easy to feel jealous in this conditions, jealous of their power over us, maybe. deep inside we all have, at least once, thought about living the life of our favourite celebrity. and wheter it is because we like such celebrity's working environment or because we are attacted to the idea of being rich and powerful and loved, we have all found out that we wouldn't dislike it one bit. we are jealous because those people seem to have it unattainably better than us, always and in any away. their physique, their humour, their art, they all seem to be effortlessy perfect (vips must be, in fact, always in line with the latest trends if they want people to continue keeping up with them), while we work hard for years and achieve rather nothing. we all have some kind of resentment toward stars and celebrities: they represent what we could have been, what was our responsability to be. we could have dropped school and become a member of the most famous boyband of our time. we could have focused on art instead of maths at universities - why is knowledge not as glamorised as exterior beauty, by the way?-. tiktok and other social media have totally worsened this aspect by showing how similar our inner struggles are. by comparing our private life, they actually made us realise that we could surely have been one those super rich and famous kids, had we been good or lucky enough in the past, and that it is our fault for having chosen to live a mediocre and materialistically unsuccessful life.
so when a celebrity does something bad, people are unable to simply dislike them or distanciate themselves from them to critique the action with the objectivity. they are so emotionally involved that they turn against them and never see them the same way again. they spread hate as if it hot gossip, they comment every move, they criticise what they would have also done in that situation, they tear apart each part of the celebrity's life until all they see is a mirror of themseleves; and then they get upset because the product is not as perfect as it was marketed to be, and they have spent their whole life feeling inferior or not enough, just to find out that the person they were looking up to was actually not perfect nor flawless, and was much more similar to them that they could have ever imagined. so all those years of self-comparison and self-hatred were completely wasted. on top feeling guilty for not having been successful, there is also the outrage of not having invested time smartly, maybe in the way that could have driven them to success.
therefore people proudly spreading around hateful rumours and banqueting with every drop of negative information about the person they say to love the most is nothing more than a coping mechanism to face what they feel like is their own failure and the feeling of having being mocked their whole life. the resentment which leads to hatred was already in them before the celebrity ever committed the action they have been accused of.
