"Abbot stayed still, silent. The guilt hidden in the lines of his face looked like something carved by hand – deliberate, like scars cut too deep to ever heal cleanly. Collins watched him for a moment, her heart breaking for him."

"Robby could’ve cried; he’d spent the last twenty minutes trying to save Jack Abbot, tyring to keep him alive, and there were times when he didn’t think he would be able to. He kept envisioning the last breath that the doctor might take, kept hearing the flatline that would sound from the EKG machine – he couldn’t let that happen. He wouldn’t."

"As soon as he was in range, he pulled Abbot back by his scrubs, narrowly missing the patient that had been barrelling in his direction; Langdon made a comment about the doctor as he passed – simultaneously thanking Robby – and they both watched the stretcher continue hurriedly through the ER. Seconds passed before either of them realised just how close together they were. There was nothing separating them except for Abbot’s stupid little iPad that was stuck in the middle of their chests, both breathing just a little bit heavier as Abbot’s eyes widened with fear."
-new fic!! I finished watching the Pitt and decided I had to write something about it, so 911/Criminal Minds is being put on halt. check it out here

"When a stranger’s voice called up from the ground floor of the firehouse, everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at each other; Bobby was the first to stand and peer over the railing, and as soon as he started to move so did everyone else, except for Eddie who was still eating. They headed down the stairs together, watching three men wait for them; one looked like an actual FBI agent – an older man in a very nice suit -, but the other two weren’t exactly what Buck expected. The first was scrawny for a field agent, tall and in a white shirt with a satchel over his shoulder. The second seemed to be made entirely of muscle, a simple shirt and jeans; definitely not what Buck was expecting."

“Buck?”
Normally he would’ve turned and responded, would’ve offered any help that he could provide. Normally, he would’ve smiled and replied in some manner, would’ve engaged in conversation to no end. Normally. But this wasn’t normal. Eddie was at the door or beyond it, near to Buck but not near enough. He didn’t know what to say. What would he normally say? No response came his mind, and he didn’t know what to do. His thoughts spiralled. His words would not escape his lips. His body would not move. There was something wrong with him.
-excerpt from the fourth, and final, chapter of this 911xSupernatural crossover fic! been a long, long time, but hopefully I'll be back for at least a week. Any recommendations for the next fic is welcome! check out the fic here

"Walking out, he entered his room and threw himself onto the bed. He was reeling, regretting everything that had happened in the previous five minutes. If he really thought about it, then it was obvious to him that he’d been in love with Eddie almost since they’d met. But for years, he didn’t know it – if he did, then he denied it. He had also denied being bisexual, but he knew the truth now. He was discovering himself, and he had discovered he loved Eddie. He was in love with Eddie. Unfortunately, nothing was going to change that."

"With that she continued out the door, but still Dean didn’t follow. He needed another moment to think, to understand something. There’s something about Eddie. He’d admitted to himself something similar the night previous, that he had a different relationship with Castiel. Was it the same? No, it couldn’t be. He didn’t even know what Buck and Eddie were to each other, and he certainly wasn’t about to ask. Sam had gotten into his head. Sam had told him that Buck reminded him of Dean, and now his mind was trying to make that true for some reason. They were not the same. They did not think the same, and they didn’t feel the same. It wasn’t the same. Was it?"

"Dean chuckled a little at his question; they’d known the angel for some years now, and it was fair to say they made a rather good team. But when Castiel failed to recognise a number of social cues and misunderstood the fact that he technically wasn’t supposed to be there, it did make him smile – something about someone remaining untainted by humanity, like he was, seemed funny to him."

"They continued to walk on towards the rising the sun, calling after Matt and Dean; they both stopped and waited for them to catch up so that they could trek forward together. Matt’s hand found his. Dean pulled Sam down by his neck and dug a fist into his head as they all laughed. Their lives may not have been perfect or even good , but there, in that moment, something was right. "

"Matt was waiting for him just outside of Sam’s room, snacking on some chips. It was something mundane, but he froze where he stood just so he could admire the man. There was rarely a moment when he could really do that; in the office there was no window to see him, and when they were out doing things – fighting crimes – it was near impossible. In court, when he was questioning a suspect or giving a statement, that was when he could watch him and love him silently. Foggy loved to silently love him."

"Sam bobbed his head up and down in response; when he started talking, he could only bear to look up at Matt. For most of it his eyes were stuck elsewhere: to the wall behind his lawyers, to the door, or to the table. He called what he felt guilt at first, but that wasn’t the only thing. He felt regret and sorrow whenever he even thought about Foggy Nelson. Before he walked himself through the good memories that made him smile, before he even tried to remember how he had laughed with the boy, he would force himself through those things because he knew what he’d done was wrong. He knew he didn’t deserve to derive only the positive parts of their relationship."

"Every time he began to spiral, he thought about Foggy Nelson. It’d been five years since he left Columbia without a trace, since he left behind his studies and Foggy. The boy had been something like a saviour to Sam, the one spark of light amidst the dark. Sam hadn’t expected to make any friends at college, only wanted to escape the life that called him back and become a lawyer. Sam certainly hadn’t expected Foggy; he was the kind of person who you couldn’t help but be yourself around, the kind of person who was just so comforting that it was impossible to be tense. And he was wickedly smart, too, cut out to be the best lawyer in all of America. The world, even. And Sam had left him without explanation."

"He looked up at Arthur, waiting for a response. The prince sat in the corner of the room, a cup of untouched wine in front of him. Throughout the night, Merlin had glanced over at him to make sure he was alright. He hated to celebrate while Arthur did not, but who was he to deny the people who’d done all they could to save him? If Arthur hadn’t jumped onto the pyre to be with him, Merlin would’ve let himself burn; if Arthur hadn’t done what he did, Merlin would be dead."

"And there it was. An admission of truth, a vulnerability that would’ve made anyone crumble at the mere thought of it. Even he couldn’t believe what he was hearing; magic was evil. She knew it and he knew it. Magic brought the downfall of so many great people, and so many great places, and Morgana claimed to have it. There was no way she had learned to practise it, and that must have made it innate. Magic was evil. But Morgana wasn’t."

"It wasn’t as though Merlin could get any worse; he sighed as he stepped back into the water, taking Arthur’s outstretched hand. He stumbled a little because of his weight – all of it muscle, the prince would argue – but they managed; except, when they both upright and standing, they were certainly a little closer than they should’ve been."
