Shiet kape! Happy weekend!

Sa mga customers at supporters namin, we are truly sorry for all the inconvenience. Umuwi kami na excited magtrabaho para sa inyo. Pero mukhang madedelay yun ng konti. We are searching for a new venue and will be up and running ASAP. Everyone's got a limit. We've reached ours. Since we've opened we've had neverending issues with ISSI. Nakita nyo na kaming nagtatatakbo to fix our electricity that was improperly installed, naputikan na ang mga sapatos nyo dahil nagsuscrub sila habang kumakain kayo, may mga muntik ng madulas sa basang banyo, and just last week may mga lumanghap na din ng cement dust at floorwax habang kumakain. And now, imagine, no advance notice of construction this week that lead us to stocking up - that's P20k worth of food - that we couldn't use. We bled so much this week and we're losing customers! Their reasoning? "yung naghahandle sa inyo, di naman businessmen so wala siguro silang idea sa ganyan... Di siguro nila narealize na iba ang requirements nyo..." Huwaw. HUWAAAAW. When an institute who charges for business courses and who claims they are helping startups is the main cause of that business' problems, it's time to go. And when the director (Nestor Raneses) doesn't know half the things happening in his building, to us that can only be from indifference, neglect, or poor management and leadership skills. In any case, we don't want to be a part of it. We are truly disappointed in the Institute's incubation process. We believe they failed us. And we wouldn't recommend the Institute of Small Scale Industries to anyone else.

Due to food safety concerns - nagbubungkal directly below our kitchen/prep area (without proper notice) - we are FORCED to shut for the day. Di masarap ang lupa, kahit pa laced over our food. (Haaaay anubayun parati na lang ganito. Nakakahiya.) We're so sorry dear friends. :( mygash frustrating. Waaah. Tama na bad vibes. See y'all tomorrow! (at Brew Up By Palengkera)

In 2014, we opened a teeny cafe in UP Diliman, one of our ultimate happy places. This was accompanied by the hardest work we've ever done in our lives- 18-20 hour days, six days a week. We were sleepless, bruised, tired to the bone yet having so much fun. That's because of you, our awesome patrons. Thank you for welcoming us with open arms; for your understanding and patience, for the love and good vibes. Happy New Year, mga kapatid! We hope that this year we all become happier, healthier, and nicer to others. May we dream big and work hard to achieve them. May we trudge through the challenges that'll be thrown our way. May we find inner peace, even just a little bit, to help keep us sane in this cray-cray world. Bring it, 2015. Let's dance. :)
