The radio Call
The ER radio crackled to life " Inbound, 65 year old female, full arrest, unknown down time" The ER staff became a sense of organized chaos, quickly donning their gowns and gloves, while making ready the resuscitation suite.
In the ambulance the EMTs and fire personnel were administering CPR, cardiac drugs, and life sustaining oxygen hru the Ambu bag. Deep concise compressions one after the other in the center of her chest. All the while they kept an eye on the EKG hoping for a sign of life. Her nude petite frame Shook under the deep thrust in the center of her breast. Still asystole rolled across the screen.
Her husband had arrived home after her, hearing the shower running he made his way up the stairs. Rounding the corner at the top he was Met with the sight of his wife lying naked on the bathroom floor. Her lips were blueish purple, and her eyes open wide showing her pupils fully dilated, her skin was a pale Ashen gray. He quickly felt for a pulse a he dialed 911, but there was nothing, no pulse no breathing. He quickly rolled her flat and gave to breaths, watching as her chest and ample mature breast rose and fell. He quickly repositioned himself straddling her at the waist, interlocking his hands he started compressions, as he thrust his body weight down between her breast he could hear the cartilage an ribs popping, gradually becoming less and less. He continued CPR until the EMTs arrived, the bathroom was to cramped for adequate life saving measures to take place. He watched as they grabbed both arms and her legs carried her limp lifeless body to the more open hallway. Her body folded easily an her head hung limply to the side. Back on the floor EMT 1 began compressions once more as EMT 2 attached the monitor electrodes and wires.
Holding CPR they viewed the monitor she was in ine vfib, pulling the defibrillator from its case they set the joules, covered the steel plates with conducting gel and placed them on her chest. CLEAR, the shock jolted her body which shuddered as the electricity shot across her heart. Immediately she fell into full arrest.
Now as they drove to the hospital there had been no change for 10 minutes, constantly under CPR. Her eyes still wide and dilated, stared blankly back at EMT 1 as he squeezed the Ambu bag. Her body jolted and shuddered under the relentless deep compressions.
After 15 minutes they arrived, the doors of the ambulance were thrown open and the gurney slid out. Donnthe hallway they rushed to the resuscitation suite, all the while EMT 2 gave one handed compressions, her stomach distended as her breast bone caved in on her still lifeless heart. Once in the suite they lifted her limp body on the resuscitation bed, which had a built-in pad which arched her back allowing easier airway management. Immediately a trauma nurse began compressions again as others flooded her veins with medication. They injected bicarb in large doses to create higher volumes within her circulatory system. 10 minutes after arrival she moved from asystole to vfib, the paddles were readied and charged. Placing one above her right breast and the other on her left side just below her breast, the attending doctor pushed into her pale skin and released the joules across the heart.
A thud was heard as the paddles discharged, the muscles in her torso tightened as her arms drew in and upward towards her chest, then fell limp to the side of the resuscitation bed. As cpr resumed her arms slowly swayed back and forth in rhythm of the compressions. With each Thrust downward her breast rolled inward to the caving chest as her stomach distended outward. Her whole body shook and shuddered under the relentless effort of the staff.
Again they opted to shock her quivering heart,

She had been down for 40 to 45 minutes, her chest caved effortlessly underneath the weight of the current nurse giving compressions. Her heart had converted to vfib 4 times, back and forth between asystole, vfib and agonal. Only to duebto this cardiac activity did they continue their efforts. Once again she was shocked, her body jolting under the paddles, her arms drew in as did Her feet, as the muscles in her body contracted. All eyes watch as the hyper trace settles flat then starts a slow paced rhythm of a heart beat. Tracing between 45 and 60 bpm but holding her heart had been restarted. Her body now showed the resuscitation effects as color returned to her skin. Bruising in the middle of her chest was pronounced as were the red circular remnants from being defibrillated multiple times. The respiratory nurse was still breathing for her thru the Ambu bag as they covered her and transferred her to CICU. They quickly set aboutnto try and determine the cause of the heart attack and subsequent cardiac arrest which was so hard to reverse.
Three days had passed, still unconscious but stable she was taken to the cath lab, it was found that she had blocked arteries which is what almost cost her life.
They started the procedure and were 3/4's of the way thru when a bleed occurred in her chest, within seconds the simple procedure fell into chaos. The bleed quickly became intense and she coded on the table.
Cpr was started as her gown was tore from her chest, which yielded little resistance to the compressions. They had to stop the bleed and quickly performed a thoracotamy. Splitting the ribs on her left side, the cut into the paracardium around her heart. Bright red blood spilled out to the floor, working feverishly the Doctor found and repaired the tear, bit she was once again in full arrest. Reaching into her chest cavity he grasped her heart in his hand and began pumping the stifled organ. 8 mins later the heart began quivering between his fingers. The internal paddles were charged and the spoon like electrodes placed, the discharge jolted her body and regained sinus rhythm. She was closed and moved back to cicu.

Once again CPR was started, deep thrust on the sternum between her breast. With every downward stroke her ample aged breast rolled inwards then out when her chest returned . Her whole body reacted to the resuscitation. There was a grunting and weezing sound now that filled the room as the Ambu bag was squeezed, her eyelids were half open over her black cold dilated eyes. 5 mins, 10 mins again they checked her vitals again showing vfib and again they attempted to shock and reset her heart. Her body jolted from underneath the paddles, the joules now at maximum. All eyes turned to the EKG, sharp erratic lines followed by more vfib. CPR once again commenced. Every compression her head rolled and nodded as her chest collapsed under the weight of the medical staff, only held in place by the respiratory Tech squeezing the Ambu. Over and over again they continued to crush down between her breast, her stomach distending in a rhythmic chorus of life and death.

As they pulled into the ER, the staff was waiting, swinging the ambulance doors open they were met by the scene of one EMT giving deep concise compressions and another rhythmically squeezing an Ambu bag. Their patient was a 65 year old slim female in full cardiac arrest, now down a little over 10 minutes. There had been no spontaneous pulse, no respiration only once had they'd acquired Vfib.
The staff quickly slid the gurney out as a waiting nurse climbed on top, straddling her at the waist and taking over compressions. Her head limply rolled slightly to the side as the breathing tube taped to her face and attached to the Ambu was laid on the gurney to facilitate the ability to push it down the corridor. Her arms dangled limp Beside the gurney as the rolled towards the resuscitation bay, her shirt and bra being cut away her breast rolled and jiggled for all to witness as the nurse Thrust with All her weight down upon her chest.
Down the corridor the rolled and into the resuscitation room, immediately staff removed the rest of her clothes, cutting her pant legs from ankle to waist. Next were her panties, snipping the waist stings and revealing her trimmed pubic area. A catheter was now inserted, as she was transferred to the hospital bed.
Another 10 minutes had passed as they continued deep CPR. The drugs had now started to take affect, she once again transferred to Vfib, the paddles were readied and charged. The black paddles stood in direct contrast to her pale ashen chest, "CLEAR", all hands off and the discharge.
Her body perked from the shock, her arms slightly crossed at her waist pulled inwards to her chest, the dull thumping sound could be heard. Every muscle in her torso tightened as her flaccid nipples swelled and became erect.

Should have listened
Her back had been hurting for a week now, as she went about her task at work. She was uncomfortable sitting , standing, or even lying down. She attributed it to her years, at 65 she had been constantly working since a teen, the numbness in her arm she shrugged off, she can knew she was getting older and to her this was part of the process, but that would all change today.
She awoke at the base of the ladder she had been standing on, her shirt open down the midline, her bra cut exposing her breast, she had an oxygen mask on and wires taped to her chest. Her jeans were unbuttoned and the zipper down showing the world her underwear. She was groggy but mortified and embarrassed.
The EMT explained she had been found unconscious and they were called, he explained also her heartbeat was irregular as were her vitala in general and they were taking her to the ER.
They gently rolled her onto a back board, then lifted her onto the gurney, followed by loading her into the ambulance. As they pulled away she felt the sharp pains across her chest, causing her to wince in reaction, the ECG also registered this as she was now in the throws of a true heart attack. Ss they drove she was given cardiac drugs to try and prevent her condition from worsening, but to no avail. 4 minutes after loading she coded. She now in full arrest and 15 minutes from the ER. The first EMT secured her airway with an entrachradial tube and attaching an Ambu bag, meanwhile EMT 2 was crushing her breast bone with deep compressions. With each Thrust downward her body jolt under his weight, her head nodding as it would to say yes. Her eyes fixed and dilated coal black stared blankly at her rescuers. Only once did Her heart convert to a shockable rhythm. They defibbed her 10 minutes out only to revert back to full arrest.
Her skin was now pale and ashen in color, her lips and fingernails showing a blueish color, ans still her eyes stared wide and blank at her rescuers.

Saturday Cleaning 4
They were putting in tremendous effort to try and resuscitate her, her small petite frame shook under the compressions. With every passing minute her condition became more dire. The staff was tiring and opted to utilize the Lucas, rolling her to her side they slid the board underneath her back, laying her back flat they then attached the Lucas bringing the plunger down to her chest and engaging the device. Her aged yet ample breast rolled and jiggled with every stroke of the machine. Due to the efforts of the machine the fact that stroke, timing, and intensity were more consistent her head rolled more with every compression. Her shoulder length silver gray hair moved in unison with a Lucas's pounding of her chest. Her flat stomach distended outward with every crushing of her chest. The monitor showed the consistent arched Trace with every downward stroke of the Lucas all the while her small frame of a body shook and shuttered. To someone who was unfamiliar with the process would be aghast at the response of her body to the resuscitation effort. With every downward thrust of the Lucas her head would nod, her chest would collapse flat, her shoulders rolled upwards and inwards, her feet rolled from side to side and the whole bed on which she was lying shook. It was decided to place AED style pads on her chest inside and set the defibrillator to pacing, set to the Rhythm of the Lucas with every downward compression the defibrillator would send a small shock across the heart. Every time the shock was delivered her hands and wrists would flip upwards off the bed beside her. As she had not Fallen into full arrest since converting to v-fib the staff continued the efforts waiting for a rhythm or the flat line. To everyone's astonishment after 15 minutes of pacing and Lucas compressions they were able to restore spontaneous rhythm although weak and slow her heart was beating on its own. They checked her pupils which were reactive but sluggish, her pressure was Rising, as was her pressures. Although unconscious almost comatose her mind was becoming more aware of her surroundings. They now set her into the ICU setting, and although trapped in her own mind she could hear the ventilator cycling, and the slow steady beeps as the monitor recorded her slow heartbeat. The staff now cleaned her body wiping off the excess saline gel above her right breast and on her left side, they inserted a catheter, and covered her body, and now it would be a waiting game to see if she would regain consciousness and survive the ordeal.

Saturday Cleaning 3
Once again her life was in the hands of the medical staff. During the course of transfer from ER to ICU she once again coded. Her heart stopping completely in full arrest. Has the nurse compressed her chest as the scene unfolded, her body shook with every compression her head rolling slightly left to right as a respiratory Tech steadily squeezed the Ambu bag. 10 minutes had passed and as she lied there her heart in full arrest as nurses took turns compressing her chest. Once again her skin had turned Ash Gray, and her muscles limply reacted to the resuscitation. Over and over again they continued CPR occasionally stopping and checking the EKG, the Carotid, and Radial for a sign of a pulse. None were to be found at this time, the doctor then pulled out a cardiac needle and finding the proper spot directly injected drugs into the heart muscle. They also inserted a main line and injected bicarb into her veins in an effort to create extra volume in her circulatory system. Another 10 minutes had passed when finally she converted to v-fib. The staff retrieved the paddles from their home, squirting copious amounts of saline gel on the metal bottoms, they place them upon her chest and discharged at full charge. Every muscle in her body reacted by tightening and pulling inwards towards the shock. A large gurgling grunt Was Heard to escape the breathing tube tap ed firm in her mouth. All the while her eyes sat open fixed and dilated and black is coal. She remained in vfib after the shock and CPR was once again commenced. Every time her chest was compressed her stomach would distend outwards her chin would dip towards her chest almost in a nodding way her feet would sway inwards and her arms which hung limply beside the bed swayed back and forth. The team alternated between CPR and defribrillation every 15 to 30 compressions. Her chest was now able to be compressed by a single hand due to the fact that there was no resistance left. Her nipples we're now flaccid even after the shocks. They were losing the battle to restart her heart.

Saturday Cleaning 2
Now with her heart rate stabilized the ER team worked to establish stable 02 readings. She had been coded for almost 30 minutes, between that and the chemical damage to her lungs it was necessary to hook her to a ventilator. She was moved to the icu while still being manually bagged, now semi-concious she could hear each time the bag was squeezed ss they rolled along the corridor. With each release of the Ambu there was a weezing sound, she was trying to make sense of the situation as once again panic and dread set in. Her eyes darted left and right as she came to realize she was no longer at home but in the hospital. Her mind was now piecing together the events like a puzzle, all the while her aching heart raced faster and faster. The nurse were trying to calm her as the made it to ICU, her situation was dire, her lungs were damaged and her heart weakend, now her panic filled mind added another level of concern. Her system now full of cardiac resuscitation drugs, panic induced adrenaline was poised to go into overdrive and it did! As the reached the room her heart was beating well over 180 and climbing, they introduced drug to contradict the resuscitation drugs and slow her heart but to no avail. They would have to shock her heart back to normal rhythm, only this time she would be awake for the experience. They didn't hesitate to pull the gown down and expose her bruised and beaten chest, she was mortified, her breast open for all to see, she stared at the bruises between her breast which gave way to the realization she had been for all intensive purposes DEAD! Her mind flashed images of the Hollywood version of cpr, "They coded me", she thought, just then wump, she felt every muscle contract as the shocked her. She was t in control as her arms jumped off the bed and pulled slightly inward, she could feel her ripples engorged with electricity swell and become erect, her eyes were filled with sparkly stars like when you get the wind knocked out of you. Her reaction was against the er team after the shock her heart raced to 200's, she was becoming lightheaded, the second shock was met again with no change, but the third time. This time, her heart stopped racing, stopped, then slowly began normal rhythm, but as the team looked up to the EKG it started to slow and show signs of skips. Again drugs were administered to stabilize her, she knew something was wrong as they laid her back flat and staff closed in around her. She could her the EKG, beep beep beep__beep_ beep___beep beep beep beep_ beep_ beep, so erratic, fast, slow, quite, the fast. The staff were working feverishly around the bed and room. She heard, pulse, O2, and pressure dropping, she was crashing again. The in her last moments of consciousness she heard the steady wail of the flat asystole scroll across the monitor, the she heard the dreaded "she's coding " Once again cpr was started.

Saturday Cleaning
It was a typical saturday up early and it was time to clean the house after a full week of work. She got up headed downstairs, had her morning coffee after an hour. So she decided to start her cleaning. She grabbed her supplies and headed to the master bathroom after a week worth of Use it was always a disaster. Spraying down the shower and adding powdered cleaner. She started to scrub. She hadn't realized the two cleaners that she were mixing and the vapors quickly over took her. She could feel herself becoming lightheaded in what's having trouble breathing. No matter how hard she took in a breath, she just couldn't seem to get enough oxygen, not realizing every deep breath drool in more of the poisonous gases.
She tried to stand and remove herself from the confines of the bathroom. But in doing so, fell back against the cupboards. Sliding down till she was in a sitting position, Realizing she was in trouble. She reached for the counter top and retrieved her phone quickly dialing 911. She was trying to alert the dispatch to her situation. But couldn't formulate words because of her inability to breathe correctly while still on the phone. She quickly lost consciousness. In the back of her head answer, surroundings turned black and Gray. Her only concern was she was still in her wore out gray t shirt and pj bottoms. My God I should have put my bra on, how embarrassing.
When she awoke next, she was in the back of an ambulance. Her shirt had been cut open and there were e c g leeds connected to Her chest. There was an oxygen mask over her face and two emt hovering over her.
Just relax, one said. We found you Barely conscious So we are taking you to the ER. Your 02 levels are very low and you've been poisoned by the cleaners.
. She struggled to stay conscious and could feel her chest tightening She didn't know it but she was going into respiratory arrest. As She laid they're. She could feel her lungs stop working panic set in as theE. M. T Shouted forward to the driver.
They quickly secured and Airway pushing the tracheal tube down her throat and to her lungs. She could feel as it slid down and the oxygen as they squeeze the bag. She was now in and out of consciousness. The EMTs were relaying information directly to the ER, 65-year-old female no known medical history semi-conscious suspect poisoning by chemical known to be a smoker.
Taking his fingers he pulled back her eyelids and noticed her pupils were sluggish in the reaction. Checking the monitor they noticed her rhythm was slowing and becoming erratic. She could feel her heart skipping beats pounding and then barely Contracting within her chest and The Sensation of her lungs burning with every squeeze of the bag. Before they could reach the ER she coded, her arms which were crossed at her waist slowly fell limp beside the gurney her pupils dilated.
The monitor went from the erratic rhythms of a beating heart to a quick erratic scroll and finally asostolic she was now in full arrest. The second EMT quickly found his placement between her breast and started CPR the first half a dozen compressions filled the ambulance with the sound of cracking and popping as the cartilage in bone in her chest gave way. They now cut her bottoms down the midline showing her trimmed and gray pubic hairs. Her modesty was now all gone. The EMT reached down grabbing her groin area looking for the radial pulse as they crushed your chest.
As they reach the ER she had been down for 6 minutes in full arrest no change no shockable rhythm no pupil response. As they rolled into the ER a nurse quickly took position straddling her at the waist and took over CPR. Deep concise compressions were given as they rush to a resuscitation Bay. With every compression her chest cave deeply, her stomach distended outwards and her breast rolled inwards. Her whole body shook from the efforts. Her oxygen levels had increased with forced breathing through the bag. Is she lie there being resuscitated the staff removed what clothing she had on if she could see herself she would be mortified naked in front of multiple people and helpless. For another 10 minutes they crushed your chest and injected medications. Finally a sign of Hope as the monitor transferred from aceystolic to v-fib. It was minor the v-fib Rhythm but it was something barely visible but it was still a sign of Hope. Suspending CPR they quickly placed the defibrillator on her chest and shocked her. There was an audible grunt that filled the room as the muscles in her torso contracted. Her arms pulled upwards towards your chest and you can visibly see her nipples become erect. The monitor show the erratic Trace as the electricity was discharged it fell flat again then back to v-fib. Once again CPR was started as her whole body shook to the efforts and with every compression a gurgling grunt sound was released from the breathing tube. Her lungs were slowly filling with fluid. She had been down now almost 20 minutes, her skin was now turning an ash and gray her eyes black fixed and dilated partially open as if to watch the team trying to save her. Her chest now gave way with Little Resistance with a heavy bruise becoming more predominant between her breast. For 10 more minutes they conducted chest compressions and again defib was called, this time a higher power setting was used and with that her body reacted even more intensely. With each passing shock power was increased her nipples now erect from the electricity passing through them, there were red marks on her chest and side from the paddles, but still she wouldn't regain a steady rhythm. Over and over again they switch from CPR, medications, and shock. The only changes were occasional agonal Beats, more intense v-fib, and asostolic. They continued their efforts for another 20 minutes finally transferring her to sinus rhythm.

The Overnight Stay 2
As he stood in the doorway in an almost trance like state he watched as the staff frantically tried to resuscitate his wife. It was as if he was hypnotized watching her arms sway back in forth to the rhythm of the compressions. All the while he couldn't help notice her black dilated eyes set against pale grayish skin. Her body jarred by each downward Thrust as the nurse compressed her chest, her breast swayed inward, and her stomach distended outward. Is was a brutal assault against her lifeless body. Again and again they Thrust down in cycles of 30, as another squeezed The ambu Bag forcing oxygen in her stale lungs. Each time they held looking to the monitor and each time it showed asystole, as the flat trace ran across the screen the long Flat tone filled the room. They injected cardiac meds, and started cpr once more. They shined a light in her eyes only to respond with "fixed and dilated ". As still another quoted the time, "down for 15" referencing she had been in full arrest for 15 minutes. They stopped briefly to roll her on her side and insert a resus board, which arched her head and neck backwards. They started compressions again as a different nurse took over the task. He watched as her breast rolled side to side hernpale nipples now soft and supple. Aftern2 more rounds they had converted her to vfib. The doctor, pulled the paddles from their resting place, turned to dial to 100 joules, squeezed ample amounts of conductive gel on the steel plates and leaned over his wife. Finding his positioning he placed the paddles against her skin, pressing down with some force, and released the shock. A distinct qump sound filled the room, her body tensed, her arms pulling inward towards her chest, he could see the outline of every muscle in her chest and abdomen. The monitor showed a erratic long trace, then flat and back to vfib. Again they started cpr.

The overnight stay
As he walked down the long corridor you could hear the commotion up ahead it was 10 o'clock and mostly quiet in the hospital. He had stepped out to have a cigarette and grab a cup of coffee while his wife lie sleeping in her room. She was scheduled for some early morning test and was admitted as preparation for the next day. As he got closer to the room and made the slight left to her room he was met with the sight of staff running in and out. As he approached, the room and peered inside his eyes were filled with the site of his Naked wife receiving CPR. Her arms were limp Beside the bed, Swaying gently as the nurse compressed the center of her chest. Over and over again. The nurse crushed down between her breast With each Thrust he watched her stomach distend outwards her feet Would Bob back-and-forth as did Her pale breast. They continued compressions Until the count of thirty. Pulling their hands away, all eyes turned to the EKG mounted on the wall, which was Emitting a long flat beep and a long flat trace across the screen.
She's in full arrest. Let's get some drugs on board. As the injected the syringe into her arm. They resumed the compressions as another squeezed The ambu Bag connected 2 a tube inserted In his wife's mouth. Over and over again the nurse crushed down in the center of her chest with All of her weight. Again after 30 cycles Compressions were halted and again the long Flat line of asystole ran across the screen.

DARK CARDIO FANTASY
For 10 years he had worked in the inner cities main trauma Hospital, working the late shift cleaning out the trauma Bays after many resuscitations and rescues always acutely aware of the activities. He watched intently night after night is the ER staff rushed into the Bays and tried to save people's lives, he was especially drawn to the dramatic CPR sessions watching both young and old lie on the table as a staff repeatedly compressed their chest and shocked the bodies. He came to realize how often he thought about it and the fantasy world that he lived in his mind being able to control life and death at the point of an outstretched hand. He caroused the internet often finding like-minded people to whom he connected with and one night during those searches he found his willing accomplices. As a formulated their plan they stockpiled equipment, which was easy for him again working the late shift and being a clean up worker he was able to acquire ambu bags, breathing tube, and other resuscitation equipment. Now he and his accomplices were busy scouring the net picking up other resources, a used life pack defibrillator, and outdated EKG machine, bottles of oxygen with oxygen mask, all other items he was able to acquire through the hospital store room. Next was the formulate the plan, they needed a patient, Young old someone who is easily subdued, knowing that no one was going to willingly participate in their fantasy they were going to do the unthinkable. One of the three accomplices purchased an old panel van and constructing soundproof walls they said in motion their fantasy.
It was just another day for her off to work early in the morning she was looking forward to her retirement, she was 63 years old, fit and active, but yet she had worked her whole life and was looking forward to a Slowdown. Her job required her to drive to one of the local park and rides and wait for the rest of the crew that she picked up in the van supplied by her employer so as was ritual she jumped in the van and drove to the sparsely lighted park and ride. She always tried to be on alert for unusual things cuz the world had changed so much in the 63 years of her life, but she was also an outgoing and personable individual. As she rearranged the stock in the back of the van as she did every morning she was not alarmed when another vehicle pulled in as it pulled up next to her a man in the passenger seat motion to her and asked if she could help with directions. This wasn't unusual as the park and ride was right next to the expressway and many times people have lost their way and would pull in and ask the people waiting for their carpool partners directions let alone the fact that there was constant activity in and out of the driveway. As she walked up the man in the passenger seat pulled up his phone and was asking about a particular destination picked out as she leaned in to look at the phone the side door of the van sprung open and another jumped out grabbed her around the waist covering her mouth and pulled her within the van. Throwing her violently to The Far Side of the van he slammed the door and they were off, she responded by trying to fight back and get to the door to try and release herself but he was too strong slapping her hard across the face knocking her semi unconscious he then sat across your waist and take any rag stuffed it in her mouth so that she was unable to scream or talk. Her flailing hands were soon secured was zip ties in front of her and she was now at the mercy of the three accomplices. They drove for what seemed like hours for down rough terrain she could hear the tree branches striking the side of the van and rubbing the paint until finally they came to a stop she was still somewhat dizzy from the initial abuse of the abduction, when all of a sudden the rear doors of the van were pulled open and there stood the other two accomplices.

The Fantasy Finale
As she lay there partially awake in the CICU she listened to her heart beat beeping on the monitor. Groggy but aware she realized she was still incubated, but she was having trouble breathing. There was fluid on her lungs due to being down for so long. "They did it they brought me back " she was replaying the moments she could recall in her mind, closing her eyes and dreaming of the compressions, the moments of the shocks. The EKG beeped evermore rapidly as she relived the day before. Her partner ever vigilant sat in the corner watching, she was moaning slightly as the visions danced about her head. The EKG was beeping more and more as her heart rate increased from the excitement. Her mind now clearer,"They could do it again, and I would have even more memories" her chest ached with every breath due to the cracked ribs and cartilage. She never imagined so much pain would be present afterwards, but with every forced breath the pain was felt, with every pain she imagined a compression down on her chest. As she lay there the beats came quicker and quicker, then an alarm sounded. Staff rushed in screaming "Code Blue, she crashing". Without hesitation the ripped her gown off and slammed the bed flat. A nurse quickly jumped on the edge of the bed and began cpr, as another detached the ventilator and attached the Ambu, squeezing air deep into her lungs. Her chest gave way easily due to the events prior. She heard "Vfib", the staff backed away as the Dr placed the paddles and shocked her. She felt the contracting of her muscles, and her nipples become hard. Again they resumed cpr, injecting medications, and forcing air into her lungs. With every squeeze of the Ambu an eerie grunting released into the room. 5, 10, 15 minutes passes, 1 more shock, a 2nd, and now 3rd, still in vfib. Continuously the pound deep on her chest keeping up cpr, her breast swaying , and stomach distending with every thrust. The nurses rotate exhausted from compressing her chest. No change, her eyes now fixed and dilated staring blankly back at the staff. The Ambu bag is getting harder to squeeze as her lungs slowly fill increasingly with fluid. 20, 25, now 20 minutes of continuous resuscitation, "Hold compressions", the staff watches as course vfib minimizes to fine vfib, the asystole. "NOOO, DONT STOP, BRING ME BACK, KEEP GOING!" The staff resume their efforts and after 15 mins they find her in a slow sinus rhythm....

The Fantasy 6
As they rushed to the ER her ears where flooded by a myriad of sounds. The ambulance siren, the clicking of the Lucas as it compresses her chest, the wailing sound of asystole, the squeezing of the Ambu bag. Her eyes wide and dilated stared blankly at the ceiling only Sligh obscured by the EMT pumping the Ambu, she could feel every thrust of the compressions as her body shuddered, eerily aware of her breast swaying Inward and out, her stomach distending. "Come on already, revive me, you can do it" scared and yet slightly aroused by the experience. She could hear the EMTs calling for drugs and IVs, big bore needles directly into her neck, bicarbonate, epi, all being injected in a desperate attempt to restart her heart. As they rushed into the resuscitation bay she heard them give staff the situation, "65 yo female, found unresponsive in full arrest, lips and fingernails bluish upon arrival, eyes fixed and dilated, no change during transport, been down 10 minutes from arrival on scene. The staff looked around at each other with ominous faces. Moving her over to the resus bed they switched off the Lucas, to do a rhythm check, she had in fact moved into v-fib. Once the Lucas was off she could feel a quivering bubbly sensation in her chest, it was her heart frantically trying to beat again. The paddles charged, "Clear" a low thumping was released, her body tensed, she felt her muscles pull her entire body inwards toward the shock point. All eyes watched the monitor v-fib, then wild spikes, asystole back to v-fib. Again the started compressions. "OMG, there is a chance, bring me back". Again the defibrillator her and again, finally her heart restarted. She was now being moved to the CICU to be watched closely. It was going to be a long night.......

The Fantasy 5
As her partner ran in he reached down and felt for a pulse, nothing! She could feel her body lurch from the agonal breaths as it tried to stave off death. She could here the 911 call, it sounded like someone talking at the end of a long hallway, her vision now grey and tunneled was locked onto the steady flat line running across the EKG. Suddenly she felt hands on her ankle and wrist as her partner pulled her from the bed to the floor. He immediately started compressions, her sternum and ribs cracked and popped. Steady, deep, crushing compressions. Her whole body shook from his thrust," come on you can do it" she thought. She could her the tension and fear in his voice. He again felt her neck," nothing, goddammit ", balling his fist he struck down on the center of the chest, more popping of cartilage, but no response. She could feel her head bounce with every compression, she heard him screaming " don't fucking die" as he thrust down on her ribs. The EMTS were now on scene, taking over cpr and starting to administer drugs. One grabbed her head and inserted a breathing tube down her throat, then attached the ambu bag filling her still lungs with air. She was still asystolic, full arrest. The decision was made to use the Lucas, they stopped cpr and rolled her onto the backboard. They then attached the Lucas, pulling the plunger down to her chest the EMT switched it on. Now the machine was compressing her chest, every stroke made a clicking sound. With every thrust her chest would cave deep against her still heart, her stomach would distend outward as her feet swayed in and out. They quickly loaded her into the waiting ambulance and were on their way to the ER.

The Fantasy 4
As she lay there listening to the monitor beep rapidly she continued to self compress her chest with the heel of her hand, harder and faster she pumped. Exhausted her arms fel limp, she now listened as the beeps subsided slowly to normal sinus rhythm. All the while she stared at the trace running across the screen. Her mind grew darker as she thought " I could really do this, I'm healthy, they can bring me back". She again reached for the paddles, squeezing large amounts of saline gel on them. Placing them on her sternum and apex she discharged them, every muscle in her body tensed, she watched gleefully as the charge caused a spike interrupting the sinus rhythm accompanied by a brief flat line as her heart stopped and restarted. She waited for the unit to recharge and again shocked herself, the pain gave way to to pleasure. Her partner would be home soon, she had to timenit right so they could successfully resuscitate her. She again compressed herself as the monitor quickened, she again grabbed the defibrillator only this time increasing the joules, "CLEAR" she shouted to herself, buttons depressed the shock caused her to drop the paddles, she was hard-pressed to catch her breath as the monitor again spike wildly with the electricity which coursed across her heart. Again briefly her heart stopped causing the flatline across the screen, the pain was intense every time it stopped, but again as before it started beating again. She now heard his car pulling into the driveway. It was now or never, increasing the power to full, she took a deep breath, and as he entered the house, she exhaled and depressed the buttons. Her whole body shuddered and tensed, she watched as the monitor spiked then went asystole. There wasn't any pain this time, her heart was now in full arrest, her eyes dilated as she watched the trace run flat across the screen. She could hear the wail of asystole, as her body fought to breath. She lay there having agonal breaths as her heart lay arrested in her chest.
