“i mean, it might be. some people think the person that came up with this theory is crazy. but i don’t know, anything is possible,” ian said, shrugging. “yeah i saw that but what i wanna know is what’s inside the blackhole. probably another dimension. and yeah, space is horrifying. imagine getting stuck out there.”

“i don’t know about a black hole but a hot mantel ball for sure.” kian fans out his towel in front of him before taking a seat next to the boy. he pops open the top to his sunscreen and begins to slap it all over his body, “want some? the rays these days cause wrinkles and bad skin and you don’t want to look fifty when you’re twenty-five.” kian said with the wave of the bottle.

ian raised an eyebrow as he brushed off his theory so quickly, “how do you know ? nobody’s ever been to the center of the earth. we don’t even know what’s at the deepest points of the ocean. who knows what’s going on at the core of our planet..” he said, falling deep into thought. he was then pulled out of it by kian’s question and then he nodded, “sure. thanks man. but i don’t like the insinuation that i’m ever gonna look old.”

                    holly glanced up from her phone, looking at ian with a mixture of shock and amusement. often she wondered how the other’s brain worked, some things about him just impossible to explain, and yet he still managed to surprise her. “ did you watch a documentary or something ? ”  holly laughs, shifting positions on her towel so her legs stretched out. “ —— what’s with the sudden concern about outer space ? ” 

“technically it isn’t outer space ‘cause it’s in the center of our earth,” ian replied, smiling a bit because she laughed. he wasn’t trying to be funny but maybe his sense of humor was effortless. yeah, that’s what it was. “but no, no documentary. i watched interstellar and got really curious about blackholes. have you seen that movie ? matthew mcconaughey defies all types of logic.”

             “ whos room in this ? it needs cleaning. ” she’s never exactly had a filter, but after a couple bags of coke and more vodka then she’d like to admit, rory seemed to lose all sense of morality or reality. which is why she had no problem stealing ian away from the party with the left over narcotic, placing a small amount on her hand before inhaling it. finding a space on the unclaimed bed, rory let out a sigh of content as a wave of relaxation washed over her. “ ian, have you thought about how fucked up we are to be in monaco, sniffing cocaine ? like, that’s so sad. ”   /   @ianshq

at this point in the night ian had so many substances in his body that his vision was blurred and the usual fear he had of how people perceived him was gone. when he got to this level of fucked up he usually removed himself from the group because he knew he’d regret allowing himself to be vulnerable or honest on any level the next morning, so he had no problem leaving the main party and finding a place to chill with rory. “if you think this is bad you should see my room,” he spoke as he let himself fall down on the bed on his back. “nah. if you think about how fucked up things are then you’ll just get sad, and i hate being sad,” he replied, looking up at her from his laying position, “but sniffing cocaine and partying is what this trip is all about. i know there isn’t something you’d rather be doing, yeah?” if the question was asked to ian he didn’t know what his honest answer would be so he was curious to see what rory would say.

ian laughed, “the idea of getting sucked up into a tiny blackhole excites you?” he asked with a raised eyebrow. “the lady that started that theory said a blackhole that size wouldn’t be able to suck you into it. but i don’t believe that. i feel like it’d start off sucking up small things and then it’d grow and grow ‘til it got to be as big as the earth.”

emma spread out a towel and plopped herself down beside him. she shifted to lie on her side to face him, her feet dangling off the towel and resting against the warm sand. “ oh ? the thought has actually never crossed my mind. if there is a blackhole in the center of the earth, what does that mean ? will we carry on life as normal forever or..? ” she questioned, her finger tracing a smiley face into the sand beside her.

“like, supposedly it’s what fuels the earth and like, the earth’s core,” he explained, turning his eyes to her. “or something like that, science isn’t my strong suit. but i think it’s pretty crazy. i wonder what that blackhole would look like.”

zuri had spent the past few days lounging around the apartment, trying to catch up on the sleep that she had missed and so she thought it was about time that she ventured a little further and decided on taking a trip to the beach. after spotting ian, the brunette placed herself on the golden sand beside him and raised an eyebrow at his question. “no? i can’t say it’s something that’s crossed my mind often.” pushing her sunglasses on top of her head, the female turned to face him. “why, is that something you think about constantly… and why?”

ian nodded, keeping his eyes out on the water. “yeah man. the universe is crazy. we don’t even know what’s at the deepest points of the ocean. we don’t know what’s inside a blackhole and we’ll never be able to know because we’d get crushed if we tried. we’ll never see the thousands of galaxies out there. life is weird.” looking over at her, he added, “you ever just sit and contemplate your mortality? and how small you are in comparison to everything else?” he looked back out at the ocean, shrugging, “i think i smoked too much this morning.”

asia overheard ian’s voice just a few feet away from her as she laid out on the beach, tanning. she paused for a moment to consider his question before sliding her designer sunglasses down the bridge of her nose and glancing at the male. “ is it crack? is that what you smoke? you smoke crack? ”

ian couldn’t help but laugh when he heard asia’s words. at least her comeback’s were funny. “i snort crack but i don’t smoke it,” he grinned as he took his eyes off the water and put them on here. “but seriously. you can google it. i’m not lying.”
