“Hi Rapunzel, I know we don’t hang out as much as we should, and I felt like we should change that,” she said, trying not to sound nervous. “So, I was wondering if you would want to get lunch.” She was family she could do this. So after practicing saying it out loud a few times, Elsa turned around and knocked on her cousin’s front door, waiting for an answer. When the door opened, though, she froze. “Um. Hi,” she said, giving a small wave. She definitely sounded nervous. “We should go to eat. Lunch. I mean, if you wanted to.” She hated herself.

“Being under the spot light is fun and everything, till things like this happen.” She groaned annoyed alright. Looking over her shoulder with a huff she moved closer. “I’m gonna need you to act like we’re the best of friends before my super fan tries to speak to me again. I’ll even buy you dinner or whatever, a selfie? Price doesn’t matter, just help.” 

Elsa glanced over her shoulder for a moment, seeing the person who was giggling and looking around like they were trying to find the woman again. “I, um, I suppose I can try?” her best friend was probably Olaf, though, and she was pretty sure interacting with her would be a lot different than that. Since she seemed to want to bribe her to do it. “Oh, no, you don’t have to do any of that,” she waved her off. “I... sort of get it. Mostly just how it feels when the spotlight gets to be too much.” And she knew that the paparazzi and press being way too intrusive into her life was partially her fault for being a duchess who stayed so closed off for so many years. “I’m Elsa,” she introduced, and she knew this girl was a Tremaine, but couldn’t recall which one. But she figured ‘friends’ should at least know each other's names.

“As much as I admire the work and skills of Van Gogh, I’m going to have to say Monet. Just the way he paints landscapes and flowers looks so soft and delicate, almost like you’re seeing these places and subjects in a memory.”

“Anna!” Elsa exclaimed, surprised and a little startled to see her sister sitting on the couch. She thought she’d be in a class or working or... just not home. “What are you... I, um, I didn’t expect you to be home yet. Is... Is everything alright?” Elsa closed her hands into little fists, hiding them behind her back. She didn’t know Anna would be here, so she wasn’t wearing her gloves. But she could hold it together without them, right? She didn’t need them to talk to her sister. Right?

Elsa Ardelle --- Twenty Three --- Socialite --- Magical

About:

Elsa is shy to those she doesn’t know, which isn’t a great trait for someone who so often gets drawn into the spotlight.

She is technically a duchess, but since that’s more of just a title from her family’s past as opposed to something that actually holds any power, she doesn’t really mention it. 

She doesn’t hate having powers, she just wishes she understood them and knew how to see them as something other than the darkness she thinks they are.

As much as she tries to keep her distance from both Anna and Rapunzel, Elsa cares deeply for both her sister and her cousin and would do anything to keep them safe. 

She’s a very creative soul, but she doesn’t show it off often. She’s more secretive about her little projects or singing. When she tries to be creative in front of other people, her shyness takes over and nothing gets done.

Elsa often makes her own clothes. It’s a passion of hers, and she does pretty well in her opinion, but she never really broadcasts that. If people ask her where she got something she made, she’ll usually lie and say she just got it at some store.

She’s extremely polite. Maybe it was being raised in such a proper household or the fact that she just doesn’t want anyone to look at her odd or judge her too harshly, Elsa is always courteous and always ready to say please and thank you. 

As little as she trusts other people, she does try to find people who may know how to help her with her situation. Help her learn how to control her powers, to help her figure out what it is that feels like its calling to her. 

Elsa feels something trying to reach her, almost like it’s coming through her magic. She doesn’t know what it means, but it gives her hope that there’s something more out there and that there’s a reason she has these powers. 

She’s unsure about dating. She’s never dated anyone before. The thought sounds nerve-racking. Besides, it would make her start thinking more about her sexuality, and there’s a part of her that’s afraid to open that door. 

She suffers from mild depression, usually due to her isolated nature, but she doesn’t talk to anyone about it. She doesn’t need the media to have another reason to try and check in on her life, and she doesn’t want to worry Anna. 

As cautious as she is, Elsa also has a reckless side. A side of her that will just say ‘fuck it’ and dive headfirst into certain things. She doesn’t really mind risking herself, as long as nobody else gets harmed.

Elsa was heartbroken when her parents died. That was the darkest her mind has ever gotten and as out of control her powers had been. She locked herself in her room for weeks, only coming out when she knew Anna wasn’t home to get food. Her walls and floors were often coated in layers of frost, and the air was cold and stagnant at almost all times. She regrets not going to their funeral every single day, and she still finds it hard to visit their grave, feeling like she’s disappointed them with who she is and how she handles things. Elsa just wants to make her family proud of who she is, magic and all, and right now, she doesn’t believe that she has.

🌹Biography:

Having been magic since she was born, Elsa has practically grown up isolated. Though, this wasn’t always the case. When they were young, Elsa was really close with her younger sister, Anna. They would play games and build snowmen in the winter wonderland Elsa would make in their bedroom. Everything was good, Elsa felt accepted by her family, even with her magic. She didn’t see anything wrong with her powers; she was too young to know how the rest of Arendelle felt about the Enchanted. But things changed when Elsa accidentally hit Anna in the head with her magic. Anna immediately fell into an unconscious state. Their parents took the girls to a member of the Order of the Rose, someone who could understand a way to get the magic out of Anna’s head. They were able to, but this led to having to remove the memories of magic. Which meant she couldn’t remember that Elsa had powers.

After that, Elsa grew up isolated. Her parents realized it would be too taboo if it came out that one of the descendants of the original royal family had magic, and Elsa didn’t mind. She was terrified of her own powers, worried she would hurt her sister or someone else. But she got used to it, concealing her feelings, concealing her powers. She and Anna were practically strangers, but Elsa told herself that that was okay, because at least her sister was safe. She felt like things were good; they were good enough. And then there was a car crash. Their parents were dead on the scene, leaving Anna and Elsa alone, strangers in their own homes.

As time has passed, Elsa has tried to find a way to control her powers. She wants to get closer with her sister again, but she can’t until she’s sure she will be safe. Not to mention, the sisters have started going out more, they’re back in view of the public eye. Elsa isn’t a fan of it all, but she puts on a brave face, wears her pair of gloves, and conceals her feelings and her ice powers. But even as she tries to hide them, tries to hide who she is, she feels like she must have these powers for a reason. It’s almost like there’s something calling to her, telling her that she has a reason for being. Until she’s sure of herself, sure of her own powers, she’s not going to pursue that call. But it’s always there, and Elsa can’t help but wonder who it is or what they want.

🌹Opinions on Magic:

Elsa accepts that people have magic, obviously. She believes it’s beautiful in some people, but she doesn’t always see that in herself. It worries her that there are people out there that may try to hurt her or her loved ones just because she possesses magic.

🌹Connections:

Olaf Snowden: A young man that Elsa has known since they were children. He never really seemed aware of her status and never seemed bothered by the fact that she had powers. It was an accident that he found out she had them, but he kept it a secret, and her powers never seemed to act up around him. It was nice to have a friend who she could trust that she didn’t have to worry about hurting.

Rapunzel Sonne: A distant cousin on her father’s side, Rapunzel came to Arendelle not long ago. She’s reached out to Elsa a few times, but Elsa finds it hard to connect. In her eyes, this is just another person who she could potentially end up hurting.

Vanessa Tannin: A young woman Elsa is wary of, but she seemed to know of her magic. She claims she can help her learn to control them. Elsa is still unsure what to believe, or where she got this information, but at this point she’ll take any help she can get.
