Rooster live span
Average 8 - 10 years but can be up to around 15. I have chose the age of 5 for Rupert making him not too old but allowing enough time for a very strong bond / relationship to have been formed between him and Rosy.

- showing a full scene first helps to establish the environment and let the reader understand what is going on and how later events and scenes fit in, later scenes will only need to show small parts and less detailed
- understand and be able to use 1, 2 and 3 point perspective
- try to make unique, not too generic, add details that makes the location its own
- lighting is important, consider lights and shadows and impact on the scene
- make sure backgrounds don't interfere with characters in the foreground, keep clarity for the character
- using the same scenes and locations but with changes such as weather or seasons helps to establish the place as real
- using same backgrounds repeatedly is ok but make sure its not just a copy and paste and make sure it isn't too obvious that its the same image

Marketing
- social media - Facebook stickers, emojis
- web - colouring pages, comic strips, images, animal bios, explore the farm
- ongoing addition / introduction of animals
- giveaway goodies - badges, stickers, t-shirts, figures of animals, teddies (possible income generation from merchandise)
- feature local places, not just farm in comics, woodlands, towns etc

Ribble FM girl mascot (human)
Pet rooster
- how would this work in terms of the mascot suit?
- a good scope for possible interactions between the girl and rooster
- scope for cartoon comic strip about the two
- Lives on a farm, lots of other animals
- Listen to Ribble FM together
- Raised rooster from an egg, now always together
- competition to name the rooster?
- colouring book pages

The Wendy’s girl logo became popular with internet artists who transformed her in to a real character with a sassy and cheeky personality based on the Wendy’s twitter account.

Human based mascot suits - what is the scope for this? Doesn't have to be an animal, could be a human character - think of Wendys girl.

Vancouver winter olympics mascots - these characters are cute however they lack personality and feel quite stiff. They are all shown here in similar poses with similar expressions and they don't feel particularly representative of their country - it isn't very clear what animals they are and the colours are all quite similar and boring.

Rio Olympics mascots - I love the design of these mascots, they are clearly representative of Brazil and they look appealing despite being very simplistic. The colour scheme is nice and I like the use of the blue outline instead of black as well as the use of thick and think lines and exaggerated proportions.

Japanese character mascots - they tend to be made up of simpler and more rounded shapes, I feel that these shapes translate better in to the mascot suits. Despite being simple they are all unique and quirky.

Initial rooster ideas - first thoughts are that they remind me of fried chicken places....the addition of the t-shirt helps to step away from this. Look at other colours, the red and yellow are associated with fast food typically.
