Plans for space, Identity collective
In terms of space we've been discussing the idea of anywhere that's open and quite a traditional setting for an exhibition or private view that will hopefully be quite easy for people to access, for example the triangle space or the cookhouse. As our planned piece will be a quite makeshift area somewhere with open space would be great but we are quite flexible, Kyla, on of our group members has mentioned that any of the areas of the cookhouse with large windows would be great, particularly the end space.

Dream logic / dark side of nostalgia / challenging audience by creating discomfort around images of ‘girlhood’ - leads us to examine how we react to these images , maybe how corrupted our own adult perspectives are

some pieces on this website by Trevor Pitt have looked at social and community engagement and taking something made locally and putting it in a fine art context while still naming original creators as artists to give them credit, kind if links to Jacks homeless sign idea (Lauren)

making the everyday creepy/uncanny, involves human myths/ biblical stories, projection of the self, making work that’s relatable/ people can project on.
“The images shouldn't need me to make sense, they shouldn't depend on an author. At the same time, they are deeply personal -- I don't want them to only arise from or cast a critical eye on a culture -- and they don't work if viewers cannot invest their own experiences, dreams, memories or phobias in them. “
