«Ποίημα», θα έλεγε κάποιος. Σωστά; Πολύ σωστά. Μόνο που ενώ πολλοί χρησιμοποιούμε αυτήν τη λέξη μεταφορικά για να περιγράψουμε τις μαγικές αθλητικές ενέργειες του Michael Jordan, ένας Λατινοαμερικανός ποιητής είπε να το κάνει κυριολεκτικά. Πρόκειται για τον Francisco Ide Wolleter, έναν 27χρονο Χιλιανό από το Σαντιάγκο, που αποφάσισε να αποθεώσει τον αστέρα του NBA μέσα από την ποιητική τέχνη. Το αποτέλεσμα; Μία ποιητική συλλογή με συνολικά 27 «Ποιήματα για τον Michael Jordan» ("Poemas para Michael Jordan"). Ας πάρουμε μία γεύση από τα εν λόγω ποιήματα:

Ποίημα για τον Jordan #1

H πορώδης επιφάνεια της μπάλας μού φέρνει στον νου το ανθρώπινο δέρμα. Μία νοσταγλία χειροπιαστή, αν και η επαφή είναι πάντα απατηλή.

Τα γεγονότα έχουν έτσι: είμαστε φτιαγμένοι από το τίποτα φτιαγμένοι από άτομα, άτομα που από τη φύση τους απωθούν και απωθούνται. Γι'αυτό δεν γινόμαστε ένα με τα πράγματα, γι'αυτό όταν αγγίζουμε, δεν έχουμε πράγματι αγγίξει κάτι.

To τόξο, η ακριβής απόσταση, η δύναμη η μπάλα στο χέρι και έλεγχος της στιγμής.

Σαν να μην υπήρχε τίποτα άλλο ούτε πείνα, ούτε στέρηση, ούτε αμαρτία έτσι όπως πρέπει προσεγγίζει κανείς τα πράγματα.

Η αγάπη είναι μία αρετή δίδυμη εκείνης του μπάσκετ, ένα παιχνίδι που διατηρεί τη δομή της ζωής. Πρέπει να αφήσεις την αγάπη να σε τρελάνει όσο υπαρχει χρόνος, σαν να μην υπάρχει τίποτα άλλο, σαν αυτός να είναι ο κόσμος σου όλος. Πάντα έπαιζα με αυτό τον τρόπο και όταν οι συμπαίκτες μου το έβλεπαν λάξευαν τούνελ στον άερα, για μένα και τη μαεστρόζικη κίνησή μου.

Σαν καρπός που κρέμεται η μπάλα στον αέρα, ένα πορτοκαλί παίρνει κλίση και σκάει στον αέρα, ένα μάτι ειδομένο από θολό τζάμι. Είναι η μοίρα, ένα φαινόμενο της μπάλας να διαπερνά το κενό σύμπαν για να φτάσει στα αδειανά χέρια σου.

Francisco Ide Wolleter (Santiago, 1989) has published Observatory (Corriente Alterna Editions, 2011), Yakuza (Cinosargo Editions 2014) and Poems for Michael Jordan (Luma Foundation, Zurich, Switzerland; Ajiaco Editions, Santiago; 2014). He was awarded a scholarship by the Fundación Pablo Neruda in 2010. His texts were included in the anthologies Tea Party, Tri-national anthology of poetry: Peru, Bolivia, Chile (Cinosargo / La Liga Editions, 2012) and New poets from America: Young poetry from Chile to Nicaragua (Fundación Neruda, 2013). In 2013, he was awarded second place in the Lamas Médula International Poetry Contest (Buenos Aires, Argentina). In 2014, he was awarded first place in the CNCA’s Roberto Bolaño Prize for Young Literary Creation in the Poetry category, and honorary mention in the Novel category. He also won the Toribio Larraín City Prize.
