Disventure camp hot take:

Jake and Tom wouldn't get the hate they do if they were girls.

So many less people wpuld complain about the second spin-off if they were a lesbian couple.

Don't get me wrong, I wish they'd closed a different ship for another spin-off, but there would be less hate if TomJake were girls.

This isn't just about tomjake, but also Jake as a character. He gets loads of hate for acting how he does in s1 (woth regard to his trust issues and bad communication with tom), but if he was a girl, people would defend Jake for having trust issues, but in the fandom he gets a lot of hate because of it.

As well as when he defends himself people are like "UGH, he's such an asshole" or "he's a big baby" but if he was a girl? He'd get comments like "DIVAA" or "ate tbh" for the exact same things???

My biggest example of this is comparing Riya and Jake. When Riya picks random fights for no reason or said something bitchy, she's a diva.

But when Jake tries to pick a fight with Ally, and stop her winning the challenge, he's a rude baby?

Stop holding male and female characters to different standards, same with wlw/mlm!!!

Why is emilys 14 heart event so awkward. Not awkward per se, I'm just impatient.
