These pictures are very nice. The aesthetics, the darkness with a pop of red from the flowers. Also the fog makes it mysterious. The first photo looks at it could be a cast photo from a movie and the second photo looks like it’s has a story to tell. In general i think these are very nice photos.

When I saw this I had to think for a second. At first I thought the photos where edited with photoshop but then when I looked at it for longer, you see that it are all cubes made out of food. And in the second picture it are pieces from other fruits. I think it’s really clever and I have never seen this before. But I can’t imagen how hard it is to make all those cubes.

What I like about these photos is that everything is elevated or flying through the air. The photos also look so bright and the products look so fresh. As if you could take it from the screen and just eat it. The composition and the colours are also nice.

His animal photography is beautiful. He waits till the right moment to get the perfect shot. The photo of the birds is just beautiful because of the action and snow. The other three are very funny. He shows a diffrent side of the animals.

This picture is stunning. The model, the clothing, the makeup, the parrot. I really like it. The yellow rubbery top and the soft blue feathers is a great combination. The composition and how the model is standing is really nice and the parrot is a great addition.

I think it’s just very fun that the yellow line goes through the clothing. I wonder if this was all planned or they just saw the yellow line and she had that dress on and they were like ‘let’s make a picture.’ Also that the landscape is empty brings all the attention to her.

She makes really bright coloured photos. I like this photo because of the colour pallet. the orange and the blue. Also the theme of looney tunes and all the carrots is a really nice idea.

I think it’s a really fun way to bring food photography to another level. I think it’s really creative and I like the idea of mixing different medium. With the use of the aquarelle you can bring the theme of the food together.

This is so minimalistic but I think still really nice done. I do like photos of details of a building or walls. The second picture is all paper bet there are layers that create depth in the photo. © Emily Grundon

Yesterday we had to watch a webinar with photographer Fabio Bucciarelli. When I saw his work, I got quite for some time. He photographs things I just could not photograph. Going to a place where there is so much conflict going on. Risking your life to take pictures like he does. I think it’s very brave.
Also at first I thought why would he photograph these things. But then I thought about it one more time. If he wouldn’t take these photos and it would not come on the media, we will forget that there are places like this. Not everywhere it’s save to just go outside and be free. photos like these wake us up.
In the webinar they showed us allot of pictures but this one I couldn’t forget. I thought the whole time about the rainbow. A photo where you see people running, heads covered with shirts and scarfs. In the background, men in big suits with shields. And then there is the rainbow. All the colours are in there. Also the tree in the middle that is tightly holding it’s green leaves.
I just think this picture shows that even in conflicted situation there is still beauty and there is still hope. Even though you see people in danger, I think it’s a beautiful photo. It tells a story and I find it impressive how Fabio captures these moments and risks his life to show us this.

When is found his work I really fell for it. He has a lot of photos with so much dynamic in it. People jumping in the are and at the right moment he takes the photo. His other work is what looks like water movement. It feels as if you would touch it, that it’s really wet. And Another series of him is the blurry photo of the woman’s face. It looks so fragile. And I like the misty feel in photos.

I’ve seen some pictures like this before but they were edited in photoshop but this one doesn’t look like is edited. This looks like the natural human body but from different angles. At first I didn’t get how the body was like folded but then I started to understand and get it. Also that the photo is so light and pure, it really goes with it. The composition is also quite nice. It gives it space to breath and it’s not photographed as a heavy block. The kind of folding of the body is also nice in balance.

She is most known for her changing her eye in a animals eye. The first photo is an example. I think it’s really cool that she keeps the animal and not just the eye. Her second photo is the photo that I saw and really liked. The color pallet is what stood out to me. Love the blue and the orange. But also the hiding behind the paint. It gives it dimension. Her behind, then de board with the paint and then the arms. Just think it’s a really nice picture.

Her photos are taken with quite simple object but they do tell a story. And I think that’s amazing about this. The lighting makes everything more dramatic and more real feeling. Some of her photos stories are relatable to the real world, as the second photo. The first picture reminded me of the scene in Titanic and I thought that was funny.

These photos are fun to look at. I love the surrealistic touch to them. The one with the apple is my favorite. It is just weird and unrealistic and that’s why I love it.

I always loved these kinds of photos. It’s just so beautiful. You feel the dynamic of the movement and when sand, flour or even a dress is added it just makes it even more dynamic. Also the strength that these dancers have. You see all the muscles and I think that’s amazing. What I really love about the first picture is the contrast and the pose of the dancer.
