Just... a reminder that it’s unnecessary to jump on someone, who doesn’t have your disability, who is talking about good things that happened to their family members who have your disability.

If they’re not saying that your experience is invalid because of their experience then it’s not necessary to scream at them that they’re wrong. 

I see this all the time, in great part from the autistic and the depression communities, more than any others, but I do see it from other disabled communities.

Your experience and your disability don’t make you ANYMORE ‘all knowing’ than the people you’re attacking. Just stop.

I literally want to punch people who come into ranked games and say shit like ‘lol why follow the meta’ you’re bronze. you should be worshipping meta as god. That’s not to say the meta is always right but, you’re in bronze because of a combination of a lack of game knowledge and/or a lack of technical skill. 

By following what’s proven to work you’ll improve your play (by slowly working up to playing against better players, thus breaking the bad habits formed by playing against bad players and learning ways to deal with stuff that’s hard to deal with).

As someone who has, in the past, frequently gotten YI, the aforementioned bacterial infection, and frequently gets UTIs, this is extremely important information. If you’re using the right over-the-counter it WILL WORK! The downside to the first picture, the generics often won’t have all the information and warnings that Monistat would (monistat being the non-generic version which is usually a bit more expensive). Those warnings will TELL YOU that if you aren’t POSITIVE you have a YI to NOT use the product!

And as for guys, yes, you can get all of the above as well, it’s less likely because bacteria has a harder time growing on penises because they’re not always enclosed. HOWEVER, the risk does increase if you’re uncut!! 

Guys and Gals please make sure you’re always cleaning yourself properly so you don’t HAVE to go through all of this, sometimes it’ll happen anyways and don’t feel bad if it does, but always make the effort to properly clean yourself, if no one around you has taught you these things, use the internet! This post is about vaginas. My vagina in particular. I get yeast infections pretty regularly, and until recently I was able to afford to see a doctor who could prescribe me fluconazole.

Fluconazole, a drug also known by the brand name Diflucan, is a small pink pill. You take two pills a few days apart from each other to restore balance and harmony to your bountiful folds. I’ve never ever had a bad side effect from taking this pill.

Cut to November 2016. I’m a recent college grad without reliable health care coverage in the process of finding a job. And I’m dealing with a yeast infection. Before I moved out of state, my previous doctor told me about Miconazole. She said it was as effective as the pill and hallelujah, it’s over the counter! I decided to purchase the cream pictured above. This treatment only lasted 3 days, a convenient time frame for my schedule.

The application process was a little messy, and some of the cream came in contact with my vulva and labia. Within 5 minutes every piece of skin that had come in contact with the cream, excluding my hands, was on fire. I wanted to scream it was so painful. I began frantically searching for what I should do online. 

I found a whole forum of people on drugs.com who had experienced something similar. These comments saved me, and these were just on the first page. There were 33 pages total, the earliest dated July 2009.

I was writhing in pain at 2AM when I found this forum (which I found by searching “my vagina burn itch hurts after miconazole” on Google). As soon as I read these comments I threw the devil cream directly into the trash and jumped in the shower. I didn’t feel any actual relief until I reached in and scraped the cream out of me. I paid $17 plus tax on this bullshit, but I could have just as easily ripped up my money or paid someone to not hurt me. 

The moral of the story is that vaginal health care is is completely fucked up because we don’t have access to an over the counter cure for yeast infections that is safe for our bodies and also YOU SHOULD NEVER BUY THIS CREAM EVER.

I live in Montana and this is a really bad thing rn. When I walk outside there’s so much smoke you can’t even see the mountains surrounding the valley i live in. Like yeah don’t get me wrong, what’s going on in Texas and the other nearby areas is horrible, but there is almost no media coverage on the fires out here. People are dying, homes are burning, and there aren’t enough firefighters to fight all these fires. Idaho definitely has the worst of it right now, as you can see from the map, more than half of Idaho is on fire.

We’ve had almost NO rainfall in the past TWO MONTHS. My eyes burn when I go outside, some people are developing really nasty coughs. This is the worst fire season we’ve had that I can remember. I know people who’ve been evacuated in the smaller towns near me. It’s really horrible and scary and it’s a big problem, and it’s upsetting that national news doesn’t feel like it’s important too.

Hey IDK if national news is covering this since there’s so many other terrible things going on, but the entire West Coast is on fire right now

There are currently 74 wildfires burning in the western United States, many of them are approaching heavily populated cities such as Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, and Los Angeles. The La Tuna fire is now officially the brush fire in LA history. Air quality warnings are being issued across the entirety of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. I’m in Portland, about 40 miles out from the nearest wildfire, and it’s raining ash and difficult to breathe due to the haze.

If you live anywhere near these fires, you’ve probably heard this by now, but please be safe. Stay indoors if at all possible and keep windows closed. Keep pets indoors as well. Hopefully some of our trademark Portland rain will come soon to help minimize the damage.

It doesn’t take up that much of your time to show this appreciation for something that someone likely devoted HOURS to.

A few days back on AO3 I found an unfinished, two chapter spideypool fanfic that was cute and had lots of potential and was also last updated two years ago. Two whole years! And it had only three comments, all of which on chapter one, none on chapter two. I enjoyed the fanfic, despite it being far, FAR from being finished and the chance of it ever updating again anytime soon was just about zero. So you know what I did?

I wrote a damn comment. On chapter two.

And I made sure that fucker was long and had a small theory of where I think the author would take the fanfic in the future. I let the person behind the fic know that I friggin LOVED the two chapters I got to read! That I would LOVE to see more! That I’d jump out of my skin in happiness and virtually hug them half to death if I saw that they updated it.

Let me remind you this fic wasn’t updated in two YEARS! I was the first to comment on it in a year. And the first to comment on chapter two! And you know what happened today?

I got a reply.

From the author of the fanfic. And the author said how I gave them life for a project they had loved (still did) and that they were now working on a third chapter. After two YEARS of not updating. Of not writing. And it makes me so friggin happy seeing what I did. What I caused.

With a single. Damn. Comment.

All that it took for me was to think a bit about what I wanted to tell the author and the comment it. All it took was one comment. And suddenly this person was inspired to continue a fanfic they had abandoned for TWO YEARS!!

I couldn’t be happier. I couldn’t be more proud.

Comment on people’s fanfics. No matter how few chapters there are. No matter how many years have passed since their last update. Comment. You like a fanfic? Comment on it. It’s that easy.

I’m all for creative liberty... but there’s a point where it’s not creative liberty and it’s actively creating a new story using someone else’s characters. Disregarding canon isn’t cool. I don’t even want to watch the anime because of how heavily things were changed.

All these lovely Rays events made me think again of all the crimes that ToZX has committed, so I decided to update my for-some-reason-most-popular-tumblr-post a bit. You might remember it. If not, please enjoy this short summary of how ToZX messed up the characterisation of the goddamn entire playable main squad. Now updated including vague references to the atrocities that the last episodes have added to the franchise.

It was initially supposed to enlighten poor people who ONLY know the anime, but please let me know if you think I forgot something important. I can’t fit EVERYTHING on the slides because at some point the text becomes too small to read, but still. Heavens help us.
