lore accurate henry of skalitz isnt some cool op terrifying master of combat favored by god. lore accurate henry is god's most neglected soldier who's had to pick up the pieces by himself. lore accurate henry is a sad and scared and sopping wet and hungry young country bumpkin who gets put in Situations against his will every day but who fears NOT doing anything about it more than he fears the horrors themselves and has been pushed so far beyond the limits of what he once thought he was capable of that he barely even registers that he can die anymore so all he does is march forward with naught but a spinning moral compass and raging bisexuality to guide him

Mind you, not in the sense that I think Hans is more in love with Henry, more so in the sense that when Hans realized he was in love with Henry it felt a bit like making impact with a concrete floor after a fall from a 60-story window :D

I do think Henry's been aware of his feelings since most likely before we can start flirting with him. Ignoring all of the hints that are there from the very start of the game, the first time that we get a really blatant look at how he feels is at the wedding:

It's possible he wasn't aware of his feelings at this point yet, but that would honestly surprise me since Henry seems fairly in touch with his feelings (relatively speaking). But seeing as they live in 1403 Bohemia, I'm not surprised that he would have kept a pretty tight fucking lid on all that and only hinted at things in the subtlest way possible for, well... most of the game. Honestly, considering how little Hans gives back in exchange (and understandably so!!) Henry is being sooo brave about those feelings too.

I think he's been suffering for a while, like his feelings are just a long and extended deep sigh at the fact that a) Hans either isn't picking up on his subtle signals willfully or because he's too dense or too scared and b) Hans keeps talking about wenches in a desperate attempt at trying to look as heterosexual as possible. Meanwhile Hans' feelings are putting him through an emotional shredder as he tries to repress repress repress for as long as possible until he CAN'T ANYMORE and then there's the impact on the concrete floor.

in my head hans is constantly hovering around henry and always trying to touch him mb even unconsciously. i'm talking about something light: he puts his head on henry's shoulder to see what he's holding or doing, puts his hand around henry's shoulders when they're talking to someone (it was even in a game) and constantly grabs henry's hand or clothes to pull somewhere. hans needs this physical contact, he needs to feel the warmth of henry's body simply to feel calm and safe :(

i badly need to see this in the fanfiction where they roam around the country, being the only real world for each other. LIKE HANS WOULD WANT IT PLS

i will never be able to put into words how much i love hans capon it's just ridiculous. half an hour ago i rescued him from the bunch of bandits in kcd1 and his "thank you henry" was the sweetest thing the guy could offer. AND NOW im watching hansry romance scene . having revealed his feelings to henry, hans is so vulnerable, even scared and what's more important — genuine !!!!
