Suddenly I feel a rush of wind as a blue blur streaks past, and when I turn around Sonic is onstage with me. His arms are crossed. His eyes are as resolute as if he were staring down Eggman. Blue paint spells out ‘She’s right’ on the wall behind us in huge letters.

The noise of the crowd intensifies. From the back of the room, a holographic projection is cast by a gadget in the hands of a hovering fox. The massive, glowing words ‘No it’s SONIC you idiot’. The brothers start yelling at each other across the entire hall. Chaos reigns.

whoa okay. saving my notes for later because i want to process these thoughts more but wow that was a lot! an interesting lot 🤔

tbh my biggest reaction was to the professor authen thing. the signs of him being involved were there, but i just really, really don't want him to be a bad guy. while the chapter doesn't exactly confirm that he is one, it's not looking good 🫣. in the meantime, i'll be holding on very tightly to the belief that prof. authen is a good character since he falls into the group of adults that clearly care for the well-being of children (i.e., what i've come to think of as endo-sensei's little beacon for "good" characters) ^^

melinda being so close with yor and yor also being open and honest with her were so nice! i didn't pay their friendship much mind before, but this chapter really sold me on the two of them. melinda actually feels like the becky to yor's anya, which is so fun to see! her defending yor and seeing the best in her were also so refreshing since yor is more often surrounded by women who criticize her (see city hall ladies, fiona). i hope that, however this story turns out, they'll still have that friendship <3
