It's probably been said before but I really dislike how much suffering Klaus goes through throughout the entire series. Like, all of the Hargreeves kids get their fair share of angst. But it means something. When Allison loses her family, it fuels her actions in season three. When Luther finds out Reggie was disgusted by him or Sloane dies or he dies, it's to expand on his character and deconstruct the archetypes he originally fit into it. When Viktor. It Means something for the overall plot.

I feel like all of Klaus' suffering was just supposed to be comedic relief. Which. I feel like is in really bad taste considering his angst deals with things like substance abuse and self harm and sexual assault. ESPECIALLY in season four. At least all the other Klaus Gets Beat Up arcs somehow related back to the main plot or Klaus as a character. But his entire story during season four was just more pointless suffering.

And I especially hate this considering Klaus was meant to be the only out and proud queer character in the entire show. Viktor only transitioned because his actor transitioned. That wasn't in the original plan. Klaus is a pansexual genderfluid person who's suffering is passed off as comedy.

Klaus, my baby. I love you so much. Please let me take you out of this show and put you somewhere else.
