And because with today’s prompt the Stormlight Archive bullied it’s way into my mind… hence additionally I had to draw Adolin flirting with basically everyone – not just his wife, but with ardents and scribes, his surgeon, his sword and his (father‘s) horse. And then of course there is Navani happily flirting with her spouse, but I’d say her attempts here border heavily on the territory of foreplay…

Mayalaran I’ve been spending some time redoing her design again and again. Especially her coat, but I think I’m happy with the most recent version of it. I had to draw her alive to see what of her attire I would break down for her deadeyes version. I took some inspiration for her clothes from 18./19. century Middle Eastern and Indian uniforms. I hope / bet that Adolin gets it repaired or replaced for her, being the fashion king that he is. Maybe even go for a partner look?

Mateform Sooo, like i wrote under the last post, I‘ve been thinking about what kind of a dynamic Renarin and Rlain would have. Since there are comparatively few PoV‘s yet for them in the books so far, I ended up scripting out some scenes and just went with drawing this one. From a speculative point in the future of the story with their relationship being already pretty much established… Drawing relationships with partially ace components seems to be a theme for me this month for some reason, although I guess with this one the asexuality falls pretty much under the table, but then that is the point of mateform. Windrunner Pas de Deux

After Skybreaker on ice I somehow ended up with a Windrunner ballet... I was drawing a ballerina for a job, and when I sketched Syl in my free time, once again I thought how I always imagine her with the poise and built of a classical dancer and one thing led to another and here we are. The references for the poses come from a Giselle production of the Wiener Staatsballet and from the Knave of Hearts Pas de deux of the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland of the Royal Opera House. --------------------------- [image description: Syl and Kaladin dancing ballet in four pictures showing them in different poses, it starts with them solemn and melancholic, sparsely lit in front of a dark background that turns lighter and more blue as their moves become playful and joyful. Renarin finds himself a sought-after bachelor after all. It’s a fruitless endeavour, ladies. Aaah, the fluff. A particular shoutout and thanks to the lovely people on the Bridge Four discord server for helping fine tuning the dialogue 💕 Finding ways to depict rhythms is an interesting challenge, especially with RoW and more listener and singer POVs in mind :)
