Hello! My name is Male Manga Artist, and I've got an up-and-coming best seller story to pitch to you!

This is my main character Spunky Boy! He will go through amazing character development, such as remaining spunky for 95% of the story, except for one arc where he becomes dark and angsty. Yes he'll snap right out of it. The many many human atrocities he witnesses will not faze him, except during 5 minute speeches when he acts like they have.

And now we have Angry Rival Boy! It will be obvious within the first 50 chapters that I actually like Angry Rival Boy far more than Spunky Boy, and I'll spend the following 200 chapters acting like Angry Rival Boy is the real protagonist.

Can't forget the women! Here are my three female characters: Titties, Bigger Titties, and No Titties. Titties' personality is Love Interest. She'll have an arc where she realizes she should define herself by something other than her love for Spunky Boy, at which point I will effectively write her out of the story because I can't conceptualize women having any kind of inner lives that aren't about men.

Bigger Titties' personality is Refined Older Sister. She has no backstory. Her family is rich. No Titties' personality is being angry and scorned, especially when every character points out how she has no titties. No Titties will be effectively written out of the story by chapter 50 because I'm not sure what a female character without titties can even do.

Oh, haha! How could I forget! I also have Matriarchal MILF, a 40 year old with gazonga titties and a drinking problem. She is VERY smart and experienced, or at least I say so. She's stuck up and likes to yell at men. I'll release a sketch on Twitter of her lounging in her pajamas drinking wine and petting her cat, to show I understand women (her gazonga titties will be bursting out of the pajama top).

The rest of the cast? 47 male characters who all have more character and development than any of my 3 (sorry, 4) women. I'll forget about 95% of these characters when I get bored of them and write them out of the plot. This is fine because I will come up with 47 other male characters, and a few more no-speaking-role Titty characters I can use to hook new readers by releasing sketches of them on Twitter. I even have one scene planned where a Titty character does something badass and useful while her gagongahonkas flip flap floop flipperoo all over the page. My audience will brand me progressive for this.

Oh? What's the plot of my show? Haha that's obvious. Magic. Friendship. There's some gimmick in this world that is really cool and interesting, and also there is a villain. Do I have the story PLANNED? What do you mean? I already told you all the women's breast sizes. Do I have an ENDING? Why would I plan to end the story???

What's that? A 10 year contract?! Great! Yes, thank you, I do think I'm a genius as well. Can't wait for the tv adaptation to become the next international anime phenomenon!

dreamt this morning about yet another recurring theme which is absolute dark bottomless pits of crystal clear water, so deep the light doesnt reach, festering with all manner of sea and not-sea creatures. the last few times i dreamt of those they were huge concrete reservoir things of black green murky waters holding enormous koi, and of an atoll-type habitation where rickety towers and bridges spanned across these vast pools/the ocean?

anyway this time it was about town after town where in the middle of it was just a huge sinkhole-like pool of water that contained one type of creature. each town had a different creature. crocodiles, electric eels, sharks, and it just kept going on and on, which is strange because every time i feel a dream starts to get interesting it ends. this one just kept going, town after town. i was approached by all those creatures and never attacked. cept the sharks who didnt come close. was i the only one in those pools? who knows. the edges were close and far apart all at the same time. perhaps it wasnt polite to be dipping in those pools. no one stopped me and i moved on to the next town instantly. i dont remember waking up and i dont remember how it ends.

- Levi threatens to break Erwin’s legs to prevent him from going to the mission in Shiganshina. Erwins refuses, Levi says that he will trust him, then leaves and proceeds to beat Jean and Eren to release his anger as Mr Isayama confirmed.

- Levi has trusted Erwin from the first time when he joined the survey corps, and Levi only follow Erwin’s order. Even if Erwin is out, Levi evaluates the strategy that Hanji suggests, such as “Erwin will say so” - animedia

- ‘‘You could never replace Erwin.’‘ - manga

- ‘‘I swore to him that I’d kill you no matter what. I swore to him!!!’‘- manga

- ‘‘ Having stayed with Erwin until his end, he also felt as if he fulfilled his role. Of course, I think he still has the goal of killing the Beast Titan. ‘‘ -Isayama

- The Survey Corps had to move on quickly to fight further after Battle of Shiganshina, but Levi later returned and brought back Erwin’s skeletonized body with him/ buried him. Though a lot of soldiers perished, there was a scecial memorial service for Erwin. -Isayama

- The living cannot die until that soldier’s life has been given meaning to - manga

- Levi doesn’t allow anyone to get at his heart except Erwin who is the only one he completely trusts. - PASH!

These are just some of my favorites. Of course there’s a lot more eruri content from the smartpass au, official art, games, junior high, highschool au but I wanted to stick with the stuff that talk about the canon manga and Levi’s thoughts.

What if Levi made that promise not just for Erwin, but for himself. He made the vow because he wanted to hold unto something, to keep living, because the main reason he exists now died. And even during the fight against the beast titan, all Levi can think about is Erwin, and giving him the serum, and saving him.

Levi’s last promise to Erwin was the one command that Levi didn’t fulfil/complete. Imagine the pain, it was Erwin’s LAST promise, and the fact that Levi is too injured now, that he probably won’t fulfil it must be causing him so much pain.

He also wants to endure everyday, because through living he could remember Erwin. As Erwin said, it’s the living that gives meaning to their comrades lives.

He would live for Erwin, but he’d also long to see his love and friends again. He’d constantly be dwelling on the past, reliving happy and sad memories, preparing himself for reuniting with them, because he probably thinks he’s not going to last that long (heavily injured).

Levi can now finally say that he fulfilled each promise he made to Erwin. Taking out Zeke had been the last promise he had made, and after countless struggles, he can finally prove that Erwin’s life and death had meaning. That everything he did was important.

Erwin can now say to Levi ‘You have fought well.’ That Levi can now help make a world that Erwin would have been proud of. And as Levi said he didn’t regret any of his choices, and the fact that he’s proved Erwin’s sacrifice had meaning, means he can rest in peace.

And, when Levi sees his comrades in the titan smoke, they are all saluting him. Showing that they are proud, and Levi salutes back, showing he’s grateful for all the support he has received. 

It also seems that Erwin appears to stand a little more forwards than the others, and that he is the slowest to fade, that his figure is more prominent, as if he’s trying to stay behind for Levi.
