Happy Unbirthday Sunday Phunday 0312/2k23 It’s been a hot minute since I’ve actively posted, but such is the bi-product of working 3+ jobs and raising active boys 😊🤨😎 I wanted to thank everybody for the birthday wishes…the past 24 hours have been insanely bizarre and if ya don’t believe me ask my boys or @jaredfried who witnessed a fraction of the ignorance & inhumane treatment my boys and I received from the hotel during an attempt at a Birthday celebration… I will elaborate later as I’m sitting by the dock in a bay awaiting for the boat to take me away(no, seriously - I’m getting on a boat😉)and truly need to get away & reflect on everything in my life…as changes are apparently needed… So a quick photo dump from the past week…to prove I still exist🤗 Over the upcoming days, I will reach out to y’all individually and thank you but more importantly, let’s also take some time to connect and see how you are doing and what’s going on with you - because without you who really am î…. Super Throwback Thursday Pt 1 12222k22 Oh how the year has flown by…even more so - life has flown by. I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t lived life to the fullest. Ever since I graduated High School and shortly thereafter, moved out on my own - I’ve felt the self inflicted pressure of “the man” and finances were always something that I never really had a great handle on…even when there was abundance…and there’s a legitimately good reason why, but you’ll have to wait for chapter 3 for that reveal. Now, I’m focused on realigning with the plan I put together back in High School - that I was gonna be a professional musician then an actor(because for whatever reason Actors get no street cred as musicians yet musicians get actor creditability easily🤨 I’ve never gone all in on my dreams and passions as I was always chasing greenbacks but I’ve come to find(with the help of my creative coach Suki and visits to Deraj Globals’ Clubhouse room) that everything I want & need is already there, I just need to claim it. Well for the past month, I’ve traveled Forward to the Past so I could regain the reigns and jump back onto a time line in the Ultiverse that not only allows me to live Happily Ever After but also Happily everyday. Thanksliving 2k22 I look at the world with Puppy dawg eyes…I see so much wonder and adventure in this Universe and being back in NY(first in Warwick now in NYC) has been invigorating. iJohnni Unleashed - 01282k22 It’s been almost two months since my last day at my old residence of four years and today ends the journey between there and here, my new dwelling place. It was a lot of bouncing around between hotels, AirBnB, campsite and shelter but as tough as it was and draining - I kept a positive mindset knowing things could always be worse. In all actuality, I kind of enjoyed the experience as I made new friends along the way, had some great memories and got a chance to explore while staycationing in Stuart(albeit during peak season - so it was financially draining to say the least but the amazing team at Family Promise of Martin County,spearheaded by Madeline and April helped make our transition much smoother). While being a person without a home is something that many people look down upon, I found the kindest, most appreciative of souls amongst the homeless community. I also found an even greater connection to the small things that many overlook as they hustle and bustle in a race of rats… While I now feel as if I am a caterpillar exiting the cocoon ready to spread my wings, I am quite cognizant that there are many cocoons one must endure in order to transcend dogmatic living. As this moving journey has come to an end… “The End is Always the Beginning”(as the song from The SoulPilot and Niné tells). I enter a new residence, yet I am still homeless as my heart has yet to be resolved in Peace and Happiness - something I’ve neglected for many years . First it was 2020, then it was 2021… Do we have to wait until 2022 to have some fun? Think not do Î, for it is do or do not – there is no try… That being said, it’s Rocktober - one of the most magical months in the galaxy. It is the portal to imagination unfettered. #tbt Old School - New School #tbt Time is a funny thing - some say it’s an illusion, some base their life around it and some have a total disregard for it… The first photo is of @ijohnni at age Twelve in 7th grade… ahh the days of youth. The next photos are my boys now 13 & 11 now entering 8th and 6th grades respectively and it’s so heartwarming to see so much joy in their eyes. While society isn’t perfect it from my observation it does seem better than back in the day. I could be nieve as where old problems have diminished new ones arise yet if I could go back to my 7th grade self I would tell myself what I tell my boys…Ask questions, explore and Focus on you & your passions. True friends will stay in your life but most of these people won’t even be around you by the time you’re 25 so making decisions trying to “fit in” with kids that are clueless about life will hold you back from being what the stars, planets, God and Alfred E. While Laughter doesn’t cure everything…it sure makes it more palatable. So if you need a good #laugh just look in the mirror.😂 2. As challenging as it may be at times, we have the power within us all to be our own Sunshine(and when done with a Smile it becomes Funshine 😉) The key is meditating and manifesting the life you want to to #Live - it may not be over night but this thought process is often #Underrated especially when under utilized. 3. Love is the most underrated force in the Universe - when stuck in a bad funk, unleash your inner child and revel in what makes you happy. Modern Day Parenting & Business - Friday 07162k21 It can definitely be challenging running a business and being a stay at home Dad during the day, especially during this summer! The kids have an abundance of energy and anxiety to do things, see friends and explore. While Christmas, Birthdays and shopping throughout the years had granted my boys access to many possessions…they tend to gravitate to TV and video games (as did î when î was a child) and like my parents before me - î must find creative ways to get them to disconnect and still have an enjoyable, fulfilling time each and every day. After taking my son to a doctor’s appointment this morning, I called an audible with my laptop and iPad with hotspot in tow and decided to head to the Halpatiokee Regional Park. Live Laugh Love It’s so easy to get caught up with what your eyes see & what your ears hear but I’ve found all the answers and #truth come from within quite clear. I’ve learned most of the #chaos and #problems in my life have been self inflicted, failing to listen to Jiminey Cricket and not living an #authentic #life. Former me was always seeking the path of least resistance and sacrificing my ideals for a #universe of #harmony, which is what led to my internal dissonance. I came across Dr. Jill aka @empowerhousegroup in her Live Laugh Love room on Clubhouse and while I was having a down day, surrounding myself with the #beautiful #souls in the room allowed my to focus on my #positive #energy. In doing so, I allowed my newly reframed focus to drive the #negative thoughts out of my mind and embrace the #live #laugh #love mindset of not taking myself and experiences too seriously ala Alfred E Neuman. Coral Cove Beach It’s St. Patrick’s Day A celebration of St. Pat, Ireland, Leprechauns and all the associations of Luck 🍀💚✨ (An interesting fact from Wikipedia “Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated in more countries than any other national festival”) I’m part Irish and a proponent of good fortune and luck so as I reflect more on life and search my soul - I have found that Karma is Luck’s second cousin. I believe we are more in the driver’s seat then we could even imagine but we are taught difficult lessons when we stray from the path of our good intentions. There are times when I used to be miserable wondering why life was so unfair - then I stopped to reflect and realized most of my pain was self inflicted. I thought - if I was able to inflict misery surely I could do the reverse with #love and #happiness... While my life is no bed of roses, it’s getting better day by day the more I plant seeds of positivity. If it was all roses, I’d probably be in more pain from all them thorns - so I’ll happily lay in a field of Sunflowers or by the Ocean on the sands of time, knowing that the state of my mentality drives my reality. If you had a clean slate what would Yîu do differently? 🤔🧐🤨 Now î knows what some of you are thinking, “he spelt you wrong....” and others may be thinking “I love my life, not a thing” while some may be thinking “EVERYTHING!!!”. What I’ve found is that every day comes with the possibility of a clean slate* and î get ready for the start of another lap around the sun this Thursday I’ve asked my self this very question. I am extremely #greatful for the carbon based life form I’ve been granted but in my heart of hearts and a mindful mind that has had a good solid year of meditation and thinking...I can be better. I’m a failure, I’m a joke, I’m at times a lost Soul in a Universe of Enlightenment and Magic but ya know what...I’m ok. I’ve always kept a positive attitude knowing things could always be worse but rarely have I strived for better.
