if we are defining "male privilege" as having ever benefitted from being seen as a man or masculine, particularly when being seen as a cis man (including things like having a masculine name on your resume, being assumed to be a cis man based on appearance, etc.) then a large amount of trans people will have experienced some amount of male privilege in some way, shape or form during their life, and this does not contradict with most trans people being interpersonally and systemically affected by misogyny and transphobia across their life as well.

if we are defining "male privilege" as having the overall interpersonal and systemic benefits afforded to cis men by the patriarchy (pay gap, representation in politics, legal protections, medical treatment, interpersonal gender based violence), then no trans person should ever be assumed to have genuine male privilege if they are out as a trans person, and even if they do have some access to it circumstantially, it should be understood as a very precarious position which is not comparable to a cis man's experience of male privilege, especially if said trans person is not white.

transfeminism means recognizing when a feminist concept was never designed to touch on trans experiences and trans oppression. ever since they were invented one of TERFs all time favorite tactics is accusing different groups of gender marginalized people (trans people, bi women, sex workers, butches) of having "male energy" or having/seeking male privilege, betraying feminism, represented by their notion of a "pure" woman "untouched" or "cleansed" of Maleness (the ideal political lesbian). we, as trans people, do not need to play this game of Pin The Maleness On The Enemy in hopes that cisfeminists will finally accept that One kind of trans person's suffering is worthy of their attention.
