My favorite cousin, who spent years working on making his own game, finally released it. And what do I do?? I go out of my way to make him the worst possible First Fanart imaginable :'D I wanted to draw some cube yaoi, I had to ask him which cube is most likely to become a tumblr sexyman. I don’t think he knew what the hell I was talking about, but I’m pretty sure dark cube fits the bill. >:)

It's called The Inconvenient Platformer. It's a precision platformer, “getting over it” style game, where the goal is at the top, and you have to use the best hand eye coordination you can muster to make it up there. I knew it was gonna be tricky (like most of these games) but I’m a little surprised with how far I’ve been able to go.

This is his first ever full game that’s wholly his, and a learning project that spread across THREE YEARS. The entire thing was made from scratch and hand coded in Godot. He made a freaking level editor using code. (I can’t even wrap my head around that.) And he did all the visuals and everything too. ALL the textures, assets, everything was drawn by him. I got to watch the whole thing come together these past few years, and it’s been so cool to see him add onto this project, and improve. I’m so proud of him, and all I wanna do is shove this in everyone’s faces. If you could purchase it on Steam, it would mean the world to me! Or do whatever you can to help it algorithmically, wishlist it, follow, tell your friends, etc. I want to see him do more like this because I know it makes him happy.

Reblogging this to let everyone know. I really want to say something thoughtful and meaningful, but I'm too upset. All I know is that this was the first thing I saw this morning, and I've been crying all day. And I never even knew them personally, but fawfulydoo has always been one of my favorite artists, and that's not going to change. I'll still recommend their work to anyone looking for inspiration.

That being said, this is a lot to grapple with (and I'm not even their friend or family member. What the hell. God please take care of them), so I'll most likely take some time away from tumblr. Maybe a few days, or a week. It would just feel weird to post so soon after this.

Please look at their artwork, and take inspiration. Pay your respects and think good thoughts for them. And be thankful for the time you have on Earth.

I need to let people know that beloved artist, and my dear friend @fawfulydoo passed away july 28th, 2025.

They were well known in the invader zim, deltarune, mario & luigi, and many other scenes for their art and animations.

please keep them in your thoughts. may they rest in peace

Here is a commission I finished earlier this month for @holographicbutch!! THANKS SO MUCH TO HER!! This is their oc Talee'ah, who has a magical quill that can open gateways/pocket dimensions. I really like how this one turned out, I'm actually kinda proud. I really enjoyed figuring out the colors, and messing around with light and glow and stuff.

@serious--kitty-business I'm learning that I love weird crossovers too! :'D And the whole multiverse part of gravity falls makes crossovers feel so much more Real. Plus they already have crossovers with other media hinted at through the books and other shows. It works!

@illumickeynati (hahah you're welcome. I was originally gonna draw ford with clothes in that, but he was next to a very Unclothed neptune, so it felt more appropriate to draw fords body type too.) Ahh thank you!! :') I'm discovering that Ford as a girl dad is the bestest thing.

Mabel would be SOOOO STOKED to have a mermaid as a cousin. And she's pretty?? and cool?? And smart?? OMG BFFS NOW!!! Now I feel like I need to draw her in a mabel sweater 😭 (I've already mentioned this before but I also think mabel would be SO STOKED to know that ford had a whirlwind romance with a merman, because SHE HAD A WHIRLWIND ROMANCE WITH A MERMAN!!! PARALLELS!!!!!!!!!!! 🤯) I think dipper would also admire her for her smart + cool personality, kinda similar to wendy in that sense, and would likewise be friends. Stan would just be so happy and proud to be an UNCLE uncle that he'd be in total shock for a while LOL. he'd either butt heads - or be immediate bffs with neptune, too

I've never made the connection of stan flirting with mermaids on the stan o war to the whole neptune thing DSHGFJKLSKGDLHG THANK YOU FOR THAT

My honest reaction to all this nonsense is *wendy voice* "I MAKE THE RULES SUCKA!!" Because all of this is totally ridiculous to begin with 🤣 But if I want to reaally make sense of all this within canon, I feel like bikini bottom is.... some sort of magical place? With it's own rules. I can imagine a human going down there and just Becoming Smaller. But also, I'm only familiar with the earlier portion of the show, so I could be missing out on a lot of lore things. Idk!! I'm just messing around here. But the semantics are fun to think about. I like making my fan stuff make sense within canon, it makes it more fun for me.

Also Mindy DOES look like if Ford and Neptune had a baby But now that just makes me think of something really funny of like just Ford and Stan hanging out and Ford just dropping the bombshell of, "Oh yeah, you have a niece other than Mabel."

IN MY DEFENSE, drawing this crack ship au makes for a really good reward type deal after working on other things. Because there really is no real gain from drawing this except my enjoyment (and the enjoyment of a few other people, just enough to add some motivation >:))

Some notes on my interpretation of the mindy pines au (I think I was originally gonna write these bullet points next to the first drawing but I kinda forgot):

Middle aged ford halfway through his years in the multiverse!

Long hair!

Ugly tan lines!

Scruffy facial hair! (the vibe here is closest he will ever be to his original "the dude" design)

Neptune gave him the ability to breathe underwater (gills?)

Fanny pack is just full of rolled up socks to prevent mindys tail from hitting him in the groin (he has been fish slapped by her SO many times)

I was originally gonna color that last one but I was like naah, my time is better spent doing other things. But that's a height/size comparison of neptune and ford. Also how my neptune design is looking right now. It's a combination of movie + show neptune, leaning more towards movie with his face, since that's mindys only appearance... and I like the movie. If i keep drawing him I'll probably tweak his appearance to suit my mood.

The size difference between Neptune and Ford is crazy bro

YEAAAHH, i actually made neptune too big. Or ford too small..?

I drew that before I gave this crackship au much thought. The size of a lot of the characters in the spongebob movie really varies, and I drew ford at the same height as the fish people compared to neptune. But mindy is actually more proportional to him in the first scene in the castle.

I'm drawing more ford + mindy + neptune between working on commissions, as a little treat to reward myself for finishing them. I think I'll do a side by side of neptune and ford. I'm also changing neptunes design a bit; he's gonna be a combination of movie + show neptune. It's my interpretation of a slightly younger neptune from when he and ford first met and had mindy.

But.... neptune will still be noticeably bigger than ford 😅
