Brief 1&2
The book that I am going to be working on for both briefs is Can I Join Your Club? The book is an amazing children's book published by Little Tiger Group, it is written be John Kelly and its illustrated by Steph Laberis. The moral of the story follows diversity and inclusion and is overall a beautifully illustrated educational book.
I am going to redesign the characters in my own style. I will create two scene in the book and create a fount and back cover once the characters are designed.

I have been using water colour pencils with biro and I don鈥檛 think they work well together. I am going to create the outcome in acrylic paints to create the shadows and details clearer. I鈥檓 going to stick with the same idea but try the face in different positions.

I have drawn the silhouette of my cactus and inside I have drawn a giraffe with human features. I stuck with giraffe as my endangered animal because they are very personal to me. I have adopted a Kordofan giraffe that I help to keep out of extinction. There are only 2,000 critically Endangered Kordofan Giraffes remaining in the wild and I think they鈥檙e the most beautiful and precious animals which is why I have used them. I enjoyed creating the eye pieces with the flowers so I thought I would incorporate this with my work. I have use flowers and Trees that giraffes eat from. I made the eyes red like blood, this was an experiment but I鈥檓 not to fond of it. And for the background I have use the setting and environment which giraffes live in. I think all together this show how beautiful all nature is.
