Something I never really see talked about is how Alpha considered all of the freelancers his friends but none of them knew he existed until Tex saw CT's dogtag drive... Before they put him in the torture chamber cut off from everyone completely he presumably was running a lot of the facilities without being able to actually engage with them directly and would have naturally had all their file info and the like so he'd have developed like. An almost "parasocial" bond with them by watching them live and hang out and train. Which makes it even more sad to me that they would tell him the freelancers died to get him to split, like, these are people he was charged with caring for on some level, people he had come to love who he would now never get to directly speak to. When he finally got to meet Tex in person for the first time during the MOI crash he didn't even know to be excited. Man

thinkin about Tucker and the way he locks tf in once he's decided that he cares about someone, thinkin about Tucker half-assing his way through Blood Gulch because Church is, thinkin about Tucker putting in exactly as much effort into a relationship as he believes will be reciprocated, thinkin about how betrayed he feels when he miscalculates--after everything they went through to get Church back and he just up and fuckin leaves that jackass, thinkin about the way Tucker would do it again in a heartbeat if he had to, thinkin about Tucker realizing Washington would have shot Carolina for him, stayed trapped with the Federal Army for him, would've killed and died for him, thinkin about Tucker dedicating himself to a war to make it right--because Washington would do it for him without question, thinkin about Tucker's overwhelming guilt, thinkin about Tucker getting stabbed trying to stop Felix from attacking his friends--Church was probably warning him about hidden blades the whole time, thinkin about Tucker crashing out after Washington got shot in the neck, thinkin about Tucker demanding that Locus take him with them to the hospital--and he can't because there's no room and it's bullshit, thinkin about Tucker so worried and so angry that he punched a tank until it exploded, thinkin about Tucker zero hesitation deciding to break time and space to keep Washington safe--because Washington would have done it for any of them, thinkin about how Tucker's literal worst nightmare is being alone, thinkin about Tucker, thinkin about Tucker, thinkin about- aaaAaaAAAAAAHHHH
