I'm so glad to see AO3 making it absolutely clear that none of these things are allowed to even be HINTED at.
Here's some of the language from the new post about AO3's police on commercial promotion:

the fact that subtitles and audio description for Deaf and Blind people respectfully are not standard practice for most forms of audio visual media is honestly a disgrace. like wdym you have millions of money for your film and you don't just automatically make an accessible version?

no actually i don't think antivaxxers' kids should die from a disease. i don't think gun advocates' kids should die in school shooting. children dying is bad actually, even if they're children of people you don't like.

[id: two photos of a cute cat lying on its side that bares some vague resemblance to a bumblebee due to its fluffiness and shape and the splotching of colors on its back looking like bumblebee bands /end id] [id extended: two photos of a cat lying on wood floor. The cat is extremely fluffy. It appears white with banding-like splotches of black and orange on it's back and a mix of white black and orange on its face. Its tail is black. In the first photo it lies neutrally on its side, in the second it bends upward in a stomach stretch forming a u shape with its body. The banding and fluffiness is somewhat reminiscent of a bumblebee because it is fluffy and a little chunky shaped and because of the perspective allowing the illusion of bands like a bumblebee. /end id]

#am I terrible for writing a description for this?#i don't know I just looked at two descriptions and was like cool#obv the the first description is more credible and the second is a joke#but I can also write a description#anyway just rewrote the description reblogging both because

asian glossy starlings are severely under utilised Scary Birds. I see crows and ravens and vultures where is the love for these freaks
oohhh you want to put them in your art so bad oooohh
ID: three photos of iridescent black-green birds with bright red eyes and small black pupils, with long crow-like beaks. END ID
EXTENDED ID: three photos of glossy iridescent dark green birds, feathers almost black asides from where the light makes them viridian green. They have bright red eyes with jarring black pupils set into their head like precious stones and seem to be staring directly at the viewer, and their beaks are similar to crow beaks. The first photo shows a group of six starlings clustered on a wooden pole, presumably on a wharf. The second photo is two of the birds perched on branches, and the third photo is a close up of a starling's face from profile view. END ID

the really crazy thing about cooking is that once you practice it enough (for all the gamers reading this: "grind enough exp") your threshold for wuat counts as a low effort / depression / I Dont Really Want To Cook meal rises steadily and you can feel yourself becoming the kind of person whose "chill dinner" takes 1h45 and involves three pans

Not everyone knows this so im gonna tell you. Countries that speak the same spoken language will not necessarily use the same sign language.
For example, American Sign Language and French Sign Language are related and I’ve known ASL users who have said they could stumble through communication with people who use LSF.
British sign language is completely unrelated to ASL however. The two languages have almost nothing in common. BSL is related to Australian sign language but Auslan and BSL still aren’t the same language.
Mexico from what I gather has at least three completely unrelated sign languages, though LSM is the most widely used. Mainland China and Taiwan use completely different unrelated sign languages despite both countries using Mandarin. Portuguese sign language is influenced by Swedish sign language while Brazilian sign language is influenced by LSF. In most of Canada they use ASL but in Quebec they have their own unique sign language that’s still related to ASL and LSF. Nicaraguan sign language is a unique language naturally developed by children in a school for the deaf and is completely unrelated to the sign languages around it in other Spanish speaking countries.
I could go on and on and on. There’s hundreds of sign languages out there and they don’t follow the same geographic lines that spoken ones do. Keep that in mind.

the problem with autism is sometimes you want to do something (brave) but you need someone to gently walk you through each step so you know what will happen. and people don’t like doing that

"If tampons should be free, then so should my diabetes meds."
Yes? Yes they should be? Your life-saving medication that you need in order to live for a condition you were born with should be given to you at no cost?

If you're a disabled young person, you've most likely been hit with the "pfft you think you're in pain now? Just wait til you're my age" bullshit from older people at least once. Everyone talks about how invalidating it is
But I haven't seen anybody mention how it's terrifying, too. Yes, I know health deteriorates with age. I know that old age is a disability unto itself. I know that the healthiest person alive will start getting aches and pains past the age of 40 and may even need mobility aids
I know all this stuff. And it always makes me think "yeah, if I can't walk without joint pain even while using mobility aids AT AGE 21, how painful will life be for me at the age where it gets painful for everyone?"
And it's hard not to feel like I'm doomed, y'know? Where most people get a period of health that they wish they appreciated more when they start to lose it, my starting point was a body that doesn't work properly and it's only gonna get worse from there. It's worse every fucking year.
TLDR stop telling disabled young people that their pain will only get worse to the point of being unimaginable as they age, WE FUCKING KNOW
