I feel like the double d's get cutness aggression with Jean, but they know they can't touch him, so they're just standing next to him like clutching at the air mimicking squishing his face and he's stood there like wtf is happening

Although it does mean that most people have a strong preference for one ship over the other, I REALLY like that andreil and jerejean have such different vibes. Jerejean are (probably) going to be very openly affectionate, express how they feel about each other verbally a lot, and marriage headcanons make sense for them, meanwhile andreil are more... Unusual in how they express what they mean to each other, canonically they don't say I love you because the phrase has so much baggage for both of them and it's not enough to express what they are, and while marriage headcanons can be fun they are ultimately a little out of character. idk I just really like how they're so different, and the fact they're both compelling shows Nora has a lot of range when writing romance, and it means there's something for everyone in this fandom. I feel jerejean have given people who like mushy lovey dovey romance a space to play in without making andreil ooc. I also just like thinking about how they parallel and contrast each other. I am a declarations of love and affection enjoyer, so jerejean are my favourites personally, but I can see why others would prefer andreil! I think we see a lot of negativity in this fandom and people pitting them against each other and I think it's a shame because I love them both for different reasons and I think it's great that there's 2 different flavours of romance to play with!

please god stop talking about diets and weight loss in front of kids. especially if those kids are girls. and especially if you’re someone those kids look up to. but really just stop talking about about diets and weight loss when children are in earshot at all. I promise you you’re doing far more harm than good.

As much as I love drawing doodles and simplified figures, I missed doing full illustrations, feels like it's been a while.
Trojans!! Can't believe I hadn't drawn them fully yet... So, here's my take for the four of them, I guess.
For those who wondered - yes I've read tsc and tgr, obviously (i've been following both of the releases like a famished animal ready to pounce). I love these guys' dynamic and domesticity so much. I wanna be their friend.

Ok, so I know we make a lot of jokes about how gay the Trojans are, but after reading tgr… that’s totally on purpose
There’s a reason that Rhemman respects Wymack so much, and it’s that they’re doing the same thing. Where Wymack has made a team that’s a haven for kids who need a second chance, Rhemman has made one that’s a safe space for queer athletes.
Rhemman’s quieter about it, in part because he can be, and in part for the safety of his kids, but it’s the same thing Wymack’s doing. And while he might not be as outspoken about it, he’s absolutely putting out the signals for those who might need to know. Just look at who his captains are. Jeremy, who’s had a lot of attention for being unsubtly gay. And Xavier, a trans man who has transitioned while vice-captain and isn’t trying to hide it.
And if his two captains weren’t a loud enough signal that his team was a safe space, you have the team’s reputation. They’re known for being nice to everyone. Anyone who joins this team knows what standards they’re going to be held to and can guess that bullying won’t be tolerated within the team. More than that, the team’s reputation doesn’t just mean safety at home, it also acts as a shield for its players. It’s well established that almost no one beefs with the Trojans and going after one of their players is a taboo. (Yes Jean is the exception here, but the more entrenched in the team he gets the more it’ll be true for him too).
Rhemman has gone out of his way to make a space as safe as possible for queer athletes. And for those who need it, he’ll show them it’s possible to live a happy fulfilled life by modeling it for them. Rhemman and Wymack are two sides of the same coin.
