The lack of smooth internet speed and wacky comp in this past few weeks were horrible haha, but thank heavens I can still draw *flops*

My take on how Laurent’s and Damen’s hairstyles changed in some of my favorite scenes 8′FFFF, I imagine Laurent’s hair grew long pretty quick compared to Damen’s, and it’s perfect to let it flow in the wind for dramatic entrance lmao *q*. Also, this is only part 1, there will be a part 2 yeeees!

Here’s Pacat’s Dark Rise Q&A so far! Highlights:

Will has an awesome horse! All the horses in Dark Rise are awesome! But the real horse lover is James

James is like Laurent if he was Team Evil and could do magic

The protagonist is Will, but it’s told from several different POVs: Will, James, Violet, Catherine, and Devon

It’s a slowburn enemies to lovers romance! (emphasis on slowburn)

Will is bi! All of Pacat’s protagonists are bi, including Nicholas from Fence (bi Nick confirmed, yay!)

The book is very gay

There are no love triangles

Dark Rise is about a lost, ruined world, so Pacat looked at fragments of museum artifacts and ruins from around the world for worldbuilding inspiration

Summary:  Damen is on summer border patrol when he spots an earthly beauty on the other side. He pretends to be a simple shepherd so he can continue admiring from afar. Laurent, on the other hand, is under the guise of doing his princely duties while working to free Akielon slaves without causing an international incident.

A/N: I was going for some kind of greek mythology, but decided on more fluff less tragedy.
