I'm calling it now, I think Hetty has known about her power this entire time, but she hasn't told anyone because she's also hiding that she's Irish and her power is conspicuously connected to Ireland somehow. That's why there's the shamrock pillow in this season's opening sequence.
I mean, Woodstone kind of sounds like a name her grandparents could have made up.

I think my favorite part of coco is when the abuelita finds Miguel in the plaza and yells at the mariachi, and the Miguel is like “he was just showing me his guitar” and everyone gasps like it’s something so much worse.
That whole scene is gold.

The only thing Imelda finds more suspicious than her brothers tinkering with something is finding only one of them tinkering with something. They’re practically inseparable, after all. Edit: if the images appear blurry, just click to enlarge them and they should come out clear.

Imelda: Would you rather kill Héctor—
Ernesto: Yes. Kill him.
Imelda: I didn’t say the other—
Ernesto: I don’t need to hear it.
Héctor: I’m feeling a little unsafe.

¡Feliz Cumpleanos Rodrigo Rivera!
@im-fairly-whitty @slusheeduck
I wanted to make something to celebrate the boy in all his best glory, so here you are :)
I gave him a rose crown and border as Roses are the flower of June, and I honeslty couldn’t imagine a better flower for such a passionate romantic soul as Ruy.
The notes behind him are taken from “ "Danzon 2” by Arturo Marquez, which as conducted by Gustavo Dudamel Rameriz, Wit said reminded her of Ruy and his work.
It’s been such a great experience getting to see this character (and so many others) come to life through this past year, and I can’t wait to see what other adventures are waiting to come from you two!

I was watching coco and I was wondering why Ernesto kept hectors photo from the Rivera’s from the beginning. I mean Miguel is literally one kid and hector is gonna be forgotten soon anyways so what was the giant threat? Was his ego THAT big (yes)....but still.
You mean why he kept the photo? Because if Miguel makes it to the other side with the photo, that means a greater chance of Héctor being remembered, thus a greater chance of Ernesto’s being ruined. And I mean, well… Miguel and Héctor DID ruin Ernesto.
But like… as for why he kept the photo rather than tearing it up, I really don’t know. He stares at it for a pretty long time when he takes it from Héctor initially–he probably still has some mixed feelings toward him.

I lost my grandmother in April 2018, I watched Coco before but more recently after her death. It was my first death of a family member. I tried not to cry the majority of the movie.
