Milo diary 005: my weatherday stuff finally came in, i haven't listened to hornet disaster yet, but i have listened to side a of come in. I also recently went to the storm king outdoor museum which was really nice. I listened to duster while on the tram and listened to my bloody valentine on the way back. i also picked up a new sketchbook and colored pencils while i was there.

my (tumblr) shoegaze hot take is that wisp is a really poor representation of the genre, boiling it down to only its inane “aesthetic appeal”. lacking any real live element in her music, she’s just so lame to me. i mean her most popular song is just a “#nugaze” beat she sung over. the insane use of overdubs and lip syncing is just disappointing. no hate to wisp fans, i just find her music kinda ‘corny’ in the element that it’s really trying way too hard to be cool.

i hate it when i tell people i like emo and they exclusively ask me if i listen to 3rd wave emo bands, like yeah ptv and mcr are cool and all, but what do you think of mineral, farquet, or penfold?
