It literally makes me feel like I'm losing my mind that almost no one in the global north on here will speak about, or even react to, the fact that the US is literally funding Israeli owned death traps for starving families.

The United States and Israel have made it impossible for all actual aid to enter Gaza. Then, private contractors from the United States created the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), with Israeli support, to "take over" aid distribution. They are preventing aid distribution by all humanitarian groups in Gaza that distribute aid in coordination with the U.N., and replacing them with GHF. These GHF sites are set up in collaboration with Israeli military to lure in starving families and gun them down.

"The US could stop the genocide in Gaza tomorrow!" Yes. As the biggest weapons supplier, the US could stop the genocide. But so could the EU, and that's not getting enough attention.

Israel's economy couldn't survive without the EU, not even for a short time. The EU is Israel’s largest trading partner and the biggest investor in Israel (nearly twice as big as the United States) and the EU is the main destination for Israeli investment.

Firm economic sanctions by the EU would not be some long term pressure builder, they would have immediate effect. The EU could stop the genocide in Gaza tomorrow. They choose not to.

So, for a lot of reasons I won't go into here, this album means a lot to me. Suffice it to say, it's kept me company through some unpleasant times in my life. Anyway, for those interested in such things, it's also the unofficial soundtrack to the Fabius Bile series.

I listened to this album on a loop while writing all three. Tracks 2 and 7, in particular, helped shape how I wrote Bile. Track 4 was in heavy rotation during the edits to Manflayer. Track 9? Fabius talking to any of his old comrades in the EC. Track 10 was any interaction between Fabius and Arrian.

Anyway, if you're up for it, I recommend listening to the album while you read. Or not. I'm not your momma.
