“Skinner” is absolutely unnerving.

Don’t get me wrong! I’m enjoying this comic and the storyline, but Jesus…..move over Berserker and his crew…y’all are Disney Yautjas compared to this guy. (Of course Predators didn’t exactly show them in an off world situation and just how brutal they might have possibly been. They were being assholes to healthy fighting adults.)

Skinner was going for anyone and everyone. Elderly, sick, children, zoo animals….you name it there wasn’t anyone not on his murk list.

It has made me now take an in depth look at my own Yautja OC (Mallacht). “Skinner” is a lone Yautja with no clan….Mallacht is a lone Yautja with no clan….it is so interesting to think of what exactly might have happened to “Skinner” to lead him down that path.

Was he abandoned by his clan? Or was he the cause of his clans fall? Did his clan fail to kill him once they realized he was on the path to becoming a Bad Blood? Did he even have a clan or was he born and raised into the Bad Blood life from a young age? I hope we find out more about his character!! “Skinner” is a genuine GREAT example of a Bad Blood and how truly horrifying they are and I hope we get at least a teaser as to what may have caused him to abandon the Code.

As for my own OC it’s given me a great insight into how OTHER Yautjas may perceive Mallacht on surface level and at a glance. And how a lone Yautja might have to behave and act in order to be socially accepted by other Yautjas or face the consequences as being labeled as a potential Bad Blood. Because it seems Yautjas on their own are a bit of red flag unless they have gained a reputation as an Elder, Ancient, or Elite Hunter.

Bold of you to assume Mallacht wouldn’t try seducing a ooman. How can he prove himself worthy of a female Yautja if he doesn’t practice his skills regularly?!

Yautja in musth! That would be truly terrifying to come across. I head cannon they would be super sensitive so most would be either in a simple loin cloth or just nude (obviously sensitive parts would be in their sheaths not dangling out for somebody to rip off). Also less fabric to hassle with after winning a breeding claim, you don’t want to piss off an aggressive horny female yautja.

I know lore says female yautjas will choose the strongest males to mate with. But what if they also chose those with beautiful displays! I’m also a sucker for seeing yautja males display for females before brawling it out for the right to mate with her. Also the displays would determine how fertile a male is while also acting as a show of strength to intimidate the other males.

I want his backstory.

He looks like a Young Blood that was defeated in a trial. But his mandibles have red blood on them like maybe he had fought a human and both survived and this was his punishment for not finishing off his prey?

I can’t help but notice he is different just slightly to the others. Especially his eye seems different from the others. Is it a genetic mutation? Or something else? He clearly looks like he had been through hell.

His locks were also cut recently in similar fashion to other warriors and the warlord. I noticed they all seem to cut some of their locks (square shaped in front half of their head) instead of letting them grow naturally (v shaped towards their back). Dislocated shoulder, broken jaw/mandible, lower teeth broke and chipped, gash and his eye socket looks dented in from a hit, and he was standing bow legged like he had an injured leg or was at least trying to stay uprighted. His good eye looks dilated and pupil blown like he was maybe blind/ having an epileptic fit or just under great stress due to the pain and circumstances he was in.

I loved him so much, it was kind of nice to see a more human like side to Yautjas. (I just wish we knew what happened before his fate)

We need aquatic Yautjas!

Imagine they were the reason mermaid myths and legends were born. Using their mimicking voices to lure in pirates who think they are going to have an easy weak woman to steal only to suddenly have a giant ass alien drag them under with no weapons just their bear hands, claws, and superior hunting skills.

Bonus if it is a female Yautja because we need more female baddies in the franchise! Even more of a bonus is if the story has the female Yautja not killing the protagonist, but instead being more of women empowering women situation. Example: a woman is captured by pirates or is among pirates disguised as a man in hopes of learning how to be strong and vicious like a man. But is caught and turned on by the crew. And in the end after all the carnage it is just her and the Yautja and they both stare at each other and the human realizes the beast is a female who killed all of the men with no weapons. And the Yautja just stares at her like: girl…you are a female…use it, bring every male to their knees!

Just a little thought! I just love the idea of different subspecies of yautjas. They are so many stories that could happen!

Oh god. You and your big mouth. You meant it as a joke. Well partially. How could you resist poking fun and making a smart ass comment at the Yautja currently tossing and body slamming a dummy around the small arena you had wandered into. At first you were watching in curiosity and awe at how agile and a strong the lone Yautja was. He was practicing with a dummy that one of the Elite Yautjas had been sparring with a few days prior. Said Yautja had only practiced a few moments with it before moving onto a more intricate climbing beam. It was far heavier than what most would normally spar with. You had only seen Elite or a few Young Bloods who were itching to prove themselves spar with it, most of the time the Young Bloods would hobble away with a disgruntled hiss and bruised ego when they realized just how heavy the dummy was. But now, you were a bit too focused on his waist, the way he rolled positioning the dummy under him to pin it from its mechanical AI movements. His mandibles pulled into snapping in aggression near the dummy’s neck as if it was another Yautja he was bullying into submission. The comment you had meant to be inside your head, spilled from your lips a little louder than what you realized and filled the air. The albino Yautja pausing before turning his head towards the voice. Which lead to this awkward, well for you, stare down.

Your focus was brought back to present when the Yautja sat back on his heels, his breath heavy while he tilted his head. His red eye sparkling in mischief when he slowly took you in. You had poked the bear and the bear was in a mood to toy with his prey rather than outright get hostile.

“You said you wouldn’t mind a horizontal battle with me. I’m not a Yautja who backs down from a challenge. Now is this battle more for pain…or pleasure.”

You felt your face heating when he kept staring. His mandibles pulled into a smirk as he stretched his arms up and out waiting for you to respond. Sometimes you should keep your mouth shut….

Mallacht let loose a low hiss. These humans never learn or bother to take the time and understand. He has spent two hundred and seventy eight years being bullied, abused, and constantly fighting for his space in Yautja society. If these humans thought he was a weak loner, then they would be in for some harsh teachings of their own. If there was one lesson he learned it was that pain is a very good teacher.
