we really have to hand it to bruises for being easy to acquire, fun to touch, usually relatively harmless, and capable of turning a variety of pretty colours as they cycle through the stages of their life cycle from birth to death. they do so much for us. and even more if you're a bit of a pervert about it.

someone else pointed out how the color grading in born again is very blue/grey/steely, with accents of red instead of an overall warmth like the netflix series....almost like foggy's death sucked the warmth out of matt murdock's life, and the passion behind daredevil's motivation for protecting the innocent. it's evident from the intro. grey stone instead of red blood. matt murdock/daredevil is petrified by the loss of his best friend. but then you have his glasses, the flashes of red on his face in the street. there's always a little bit of the devil in matt murdock that will find its way out.
