having watched the behind the scenes of it, it becomes clearer to me that samalamadingdong is the modern version of juilus caesar's assassination:

- slow gathering of co-conspirators, including those closest to the plotted

I think this is really the key to this season. Zood is a place filled with givers, people who genuinely want to help each other with no secondary motivations behind it. And unfortunately, there are always going to be those who are willing to take advantage of it.

In the same way, the crew of the Zephyr is filled with people who want to help the ones they love, but sometimes the one they love will take advantage of that kindness.
