MATERIALITY
Activate is made to follow/mimic the current sportswear trend giving comfort, style and ergonomically traits to the design.
Viscose is breathable, as well as having a fast drying time, allowing it to cool down fast and efficiently in the case of the physically active situation.
Activate sportswear uses viscose as it is easily stretchable to physical movement and friction, allowing for stretch sensors to be easily installed.
Activate also monitors the time exercised on muscles and allows for adequate muscle rest time. While recording past data, tracking your physical progress.
Red and green LED’s indicating muscle activation and appropriate rest time, fun visual interactive way to connect to your body and workout.

Future Consideration;
In the future, this could be applicable to other areas of the body becoming a full body suit that would be suitable for any sport including a waterproof version for sports such as swimming. The commercially manufactured product will have smaller electronics such as the Lilypad Arduino and smaller LED's and use a form of detail stitching that does not cause the Biobased fabric to wrinkle. There would be multiple colours of fabric, detailing stitching and light colours for the customer to chose from.

Final Lighting Code
Flexible cable sensors, in three different places on the arm (wrist; controls forearm lights, elbow; controls the bicep lights and shoulder, controls shoulder lights) sends the data to the Arduino on how many reps/bend and the time spent by the user to determine the colour and brightness of the RGB LED lights.
 The user sets the ideal exercise time on the app and starts to do their exercise. depending on the level in which the user bends and flexes their arms will depend on the strength of the red light. Once the time is up all the lights will glow green indicating time to stop. If the user wishes, they can set the length of time for the rest period before the next section begins and the lights return to red or off.

Christy and Michael focused mainly on getting the circuit and code working. there was a lot of issues around getting the sensors and the lights to work properly as well as us not being able to source the correct battery which has meant that we need to plug it into the wall.
