i’ve  talked  about  this  before  but  as  much  as  i  love  them,  one  of  the  things  that  bothers  me  most  about  fandom  is  how  asami  is  constantly  defined  only  through  her  relationship  to  korra.  they  are  absolutely  special  together,  but  asami  is  her  own  character  with  her  own  individual  merits  as  far  as  korra’s  team  avatar  is  concerned.
