Maybe this was a mistake, I probably shouldn't have just...asked her.
As the thought trudged its way to her thoughts, a sudden relief relapsed her expressions as she noticed the radiant smile from the stranger. It was probably fate that brought the pair together since their color and layers of scarves were practically identical. Certainly, rummaging through racks and stacks of scarves wasn't an easy task for the youth since her judgement were solely based on one aspect...pink. Despite the texture or pattern decorating the fabric, it always had to be pink. Overtime, the hue has grown onto Hiyori, almost relating to pink scarves as her identity. A brief inquiry brushed by as she examined the other, besides the illuminating ruby shading her scarf, there neatly clipped her bangs were matching hair pins ; did red have a special meaning to her as well or was it just her favorite?
Caught off guard by the friendly notion, Iki firmly shakes her hand, attempting to remember her name. Ayano. Her personality shown as a friendly and reserved young woman - but that was just gathered from her greeting and smile. Magenta irises widened in surprised as Ayano wrapped her scarf around her neck, the previous warmth of the owner embracing her own skin. Maybe she over-read the situation but the lopsided grin was plastered on the raven's features. "O-Oh! I...thank you, Ayano! Your scarf is beautiful." Slim digits toyed with the edges of the piece saying, "I never tried the color red before, I was always more of a pink person, y'know." Fixing her gaze towards Ayano, Hiyori quickly wraps her rosy scarf around the teen, chuckling at her actions. "And pink totally fits you! Definitely looking more stylish than me, haha. What'd you think?"

'Was this..?'
"A-Ah hello! I didn't mean to disturb you there, are you Radiou? I'm ...well, your daughter, Iki Hiyori! It's a pleasure to finally meet you!"
“It seems I have a daughter and husband now. Hm, I should go and greet them.”

Catching his passive snippet about chocolate muffins. In a mimicking low pitched voice, she wags her finger in front of his visage, a grin quickly forming. "Your wish is my command!" A mocked hardy laugh erupted from her chords, unable to contain herself. Rapidly, she attempted to cover up her enthusiasm, but sticks out her hand, glaring in his direction. "But only for 5 yen, of course..."
Retreating her hand, Hiyori stops her act, a sigh of relief escaped between the teen's lips as one of the nearby waitresses approached their table. For a moment, she was truly happy, teasing and joking around with the deity but, negativity always found their ways to leech on her happiness. On the other hand, she was thankful that Yato didn't pry too much on her attitude and continued to shrug it off. Granted, a small inflict pinched at her emotions that his personality was too careless to see through attached insecurities and fears, beginning to leech on the girl amid the past month. In ways, there was nobody to hold accountable of their encounter but her stubborn demeanor, persistence and fate.
Musing upon her trivial dilemma, a young woman advanced towards their table her attire decked with a frilly apron and a complimentary tan-plaid bow resting on her heard. Leaning towards the pair, she offers a friendly smile asking, "how may I help you today?"
Immediately, Hiyori hands over the menus, attention directing towards the hostess. "Two chocolate muffins and two coffees, please!" In response, the woman nods, pointing towards a small corner on the other side of the cafe, "cream, sugar and milk are all found in that area over there. Your order will arrive momentarily!" And in a flash, the lady fades from sight.
Between those three weeks, not much seemed to happen in the other's world besides the same old, same old. These days, time passed by ever so slowly but, their time together is likely to shorten. However, there was a voice lingering behind her mind in a nagging tone ; 'You have to tell him.' Her only counter towards her own remark was, 'I ... can't. What if he thinks..."
Noticing a pair of shimmering cobalt orbs, the brunet fixes her gaze as the duo fell in silence. He knew. Additionally, when calling him up again she didn't expect her mini reunion to be so awkward less this nerve wrecking. "Um..." Her tone was gentle but below the table, her legs were numb in result of feeling captivity from his stare. Unable to keep up with such unease, Hiyori hastily circulates her view, knowing a pair of eyes were scrutinizing her every breath and move.
Cheeks burned from embarrassment, she knew that her true feelings about their friendship and her alternate lifestyle would come back and bite deeply but it was an unexpected turn of events. During their time apart, she really sat down and thought about the future and the consequences attached to them.Everything was becoming questionable, and no matter how hard she wanted to fight off her fears, they always came running back somehow.
"S-Sorry. There's a lot on my mind today...I'm just worried about my tests this week." A poor lie that even Yato could pick up on. Though he was unsure of what was rummaging through her mind, he understood what type of person she was who didn't want the heavy burden placed on others, especially her friends. So just maybe, he wouldn't mention anything any longer. If there was a proper time and place, she would mention or hint at it, usually at a dark setting and solemn area where nobody could hear or see her break, scream and cry. "Em..enough about me, how have you been lately?"
day old coffee | @ iki & yato
¥ —— ;; There were truth to the brunette’s words, when she spoke of how men were normally the ones who paid on these sorts of occasions. If not that then, they at least split the bill and pay for themselves, rather than having the woman pay for the meal entirely. What exactly was that called again…? A freeloader.
“Get off my back, will ya?” Was the retort as brows pulled together, his form stiffening like it normally did whenever people told him something he didn’t want to hear. Yes, he had some money saved up from his numerous jobs, however, he didn’t intend on spending it so hastily. Said money was his life savings so Yato could get going on building his own shrine, not to be spending on this girl so she could have a meal with the deity. Arms still crossed, Yato pouted his lips as his form turns toward the outer edge of the booth that sat in, just so his cat-like eyes could observe the people at the café—or more so, that he didn’t have to look at Hiyori. He gazed out toward the other tables, and people for a few moments, just pouting like a child that was about to be put in time-out, but something about Hiyori’s silence peaked his interest, and those azure orbs steal a glance, catching a gleam of sadness in her eyes. His pouty look disappears, and is replaced with one of concern. What was with her? From the looks of it, Yato could have sworn that something was bothering her. Was it because of the concept of who was paying today? Or was it because he was late? Yato, second-guessing himself, uncrosses his arms so he could scratch his face with a single finger. What the hell was he supposed to say? “A-Ah…—” He began, but was immediately cut off by the sound of Hiyori clasping her hands together, any and all trace of whatever was wrong disappearing from her eyes. Was she rambling, simply to cover up her moment of weakness? Did she think that talking more and more would settle all previous suspicions that something just wasn’t right in that head of hers? “Haaaah?!” Yato, with his hands on the table, gave an outburst at the brunette, “You’re going to make me pay after all?!” And like clockwork, his lanky figure leans back up against the cushion of the booth, his arms crossing over his chest—more like a defeated pose now more than anything.
Muffins and coffee would just have to do, then, given that Hiyori wasn’t going to let this go, “—I like chocolate muffins,” He muttered, a defeated tone to his voice, but also a sort of acceptance to it. His eyes, which were gazing toward, flicker up to meet Hiyori’s magenta ones, and a hint of a smirk dares to pull on one side of his mouth. “Oi, waitress!” He waves a hand in the air in an attempt to catch her attention.

masterminded | @ iki & babs

"Hmmm." After being detached by her group, Hiyori abruptly felt uneasy in the atmosphere, nothing but computers some with blank screens and others flooded with codes. Did she arrive in someone's private lair or room? A faded click was heard and footsteps drawing nearer to the room. Panic tugged on the teen's emotions as she was frozen in place, pulse racing as the knob continued to twist.
It was hopeless.
Any attempts of breaking out of the room would pointless if the owner was about to enter. Plus, in a high tech place like this, who knew what kind of traps and cameras were surrounding the perimeter.Standing in place, the brunet anxiously awaited for a stranger to stroll in and scold.

mastery skills | @ iki & bishamon
Was this even a good idea?
A wave of anxiousness relapsed the teen as she found herself facing Bishamon's shrine. Many weeks has passed since her last arrival here, the shrine still standing proudly with no signs of transformations in the autumn wind. Despite her deep appreciation for Kazuma, there was a voice nagging in the back of her mind to stop.
Nevertheless, Bishamon's image displayed a fierce with a physically and mentally resilient. While awaiting outside, she remembered what Kazuma told her about how there were people (most likely shikis) that reported her arrival. Awaiting for the woman's presence, she hung her head slow, faint rose coloring the surface of her cheeks. Today seemed like an appropriate time to ask the god for a wish she's been meaning to fulfill for some time now.
In some other world where she never was able to learn from Bisha, there was a slim chance of her surviving and the heavy burden on Yato and Yukine would intensify over time. Fixing her composure, her chin prop, violet irises focusing on the detailed exterior of the shrine. It was now or never.

Baking

{ BARBARA HEADCANON. SOUR POWDER. } While setting in her senior year in high school, Barbara was a lady who can handle anything...maybe except baking. Baking was an elective course she decided to take on sheer curiosity and build up some mastery skills. At the beginning of the class, Barbara works steadily to learn from her peers and teachers but often is dissatisfied with the lumpy shapes or taste. On some free time, Babs would work independently at home, surrounding herself with all sorts of baked goods like donuts, cookies and muffins. Since baking was not her best skill - she was full of determination, working outside of school to perfect as a bakery queen. Presently, Babs has stashes of recipes and baking books proudly standing on her shelves. Till this day, she still reads and jots down any new thoughts on her memos, improving and still creating.

lonely; [m an i don't kno w im sorry]

{ MINATO HEADCANON. NOISE. } After his parent's passing, Minato frequently wore earphones in order to avoid interactions with his classmates and escape his memories. Pressure to keep the trauma locked in his own despair, he still heard the distant screams and sobs from the accident ; an indirect goodbye which played as the last memory of his beloved parents. With the blast of music, he then was able to focus and wash away his loneliness. Despite doing so, his peers and teachers still urged him to ditch the head gear, but never abide ; giving curt answers such as leave me alone and I'm listening.

dandelions!!

{ SORA HEADCANON. FAMILY TREASURE }:Dandelions are known for their hairless and fragility attributes and can be easily adored and purposely stepped on. When Sora was younger (maybe 6-8 years of age) he believed that inside each individual floret lived a family and when the dandelion were whole, he imagined a community of candy-like buildings and shapes (similar to the world of Sugar Rush from Wreck It-Ralph.) For a majority of his childhood, Sora did everything to remind his peers not to carelessly stomp over the flowers or blow into them fearing for the families inside the dandelions would get separated and blew into the sky - never returning home.

Her nose scrunched, thin brows furrowing at the behavior of the other. She didn't expect anything less from the jersey-wearing god watching him wriggle and streaks of fake tears sparkling on his cheeks. Sticking her tongue out towards him, she shot a passive glare, hoping he remembered never to show up late to their appointments again. "Oh I don't know, Yato, here's a crazy idea, pay for it yourself?!" Seriously, all Yato does it get money for doing jobs, isn't the 5 yen enough to add up to buy some bread. Additionally, she wanted to pay for their meal today but since the results ended up the way it did, Hiyori wanted her cheap friend to try to do ordinary people things himself like pay for food.
Unbelievable.
Taking a quick scan around the room, the brunet leaned closer, her lips becoming a straight line as she spoke in a hushed manner, "y'know, in my world Yato, the boys usually pay for the girl at times like these." In most cases her statement was flawed and wasn't true as girls could pay or the lovely pair could split the bill. But, as she quickly fixed her composure ; the reality of how Yato was a not human settled within her mind again.
Although, watching the deity's irises shine at the thought of food, suddenly washed any submissive emotions. Truthfully, she felt a small sting dwelling in her heart but didn't want to create any drama after they've been apart for so long. Maybe just maybe... she was over thinking every little detail in why he was late.
As time passed, Hiyori was known for her bright heart and the glowing presence she had with her friends. On another note, she was used to never having people place her as a propriety ; sometimes she was struck with feeling inadequate to Yato's lifestyle as they were truly from different species, well aware of the fact in many friendships she was always one to care more.
In truth, she wasn't sure. Yato always cared about her and he's made it clear to her many times as they've made promises to be friends forever. Mindful of her tense complexion, she immediately shrugged it off not wanting to ruin their reunion. Clasping her hands together she nodded at his tasty suggestion, immediately dropping any trances of her previous thoughts. "Sounds good! I was actually really craving some coffee the moment I stepped in this place. Plus, school has been hectic this week so hopefully some coffee can wake me up! Oh, is that all you want to eat? There's loads of other stuff they sell here if you're hungry. But..." She paused, skeptical of his interpretation of what she was saying to him. "You're paying this time..." Just as she stated so, a sly smirk settled upon her features. "So next time.. you won't be late...Right, Yato?"
day old coffee | @ iki & yato
¥ —— ;; Hanging over the table, screeching and fake weeping in front of the girl sitting directly in front of him. Yes, it was great to see her again, after these three weeks, despite not necessarily feeling like three weeks. Nonetheless, seeing that face of hers, her brown hair that framed her face, along with those magenta eyes that captured you the moment you gazed into them. However, those thoughts were cut off when a sharp pain flowed from his forehead, resulting in a swift hand to dart toward his brow, “Ack! Oi, what was that—-” He began, speaking over the brunette, but was intervened by Hiyori’s words that peaked his interest, his azure hues blinking with an urgency—- You’ll what? He’d think, awaiting for her to continue. Or else I’ll s-stop paying for your food, jerk!
How dare she make such declaration—right in front of him?! Yato melted onto the table, letting his chin rest upon the solid surface, “Uwwaahhhh!” He cried, “Hiiiiyoriii! How else am I supposed to eat? Do you want me to starve and disintegrate away into nothingness?!” Despite being away for this amount of time, it was like nothing had changed between the two of them. As close as can be—friends. Family. Or maybe even…. —- No! That kind of thing… It wasn’t for Yato. Pouting like a kid, the deity sat back in his seat, crossing his arms as ocean-like optics gazed across the table to Hiyori. To her suggestion, Yato perked up, if only by a little, at the mention of muffins. To be honest, any kind of food would suffice to his own empty stomach. Not that gods needed to eat, it was still a good plus that satisfied him in a weird, indescribable way. So, starving wasn’t necessarily an option for a god, it was just the deity being his own, dramatic self. “Hah?” He’d inquire, leaning toward ever-so-slightly, “Sure, bring on the muffins!” The raven winked playfully, holding up two fingers, “Let’s do coffee, too!”

After leaving her shift at the flower shop, it was tempting to just allow the sun rays to soak up her skin due to the comforting weather outside. On most days, Iunctum has made her feel a little lonely and gloomy. But, today something felt different in a positive aspect, of course. Maybe because business and her interactions has built some long lasting friends since she's arrived. Despite the unforgiving difficulties while facing her new 'family', nothing could replace the warmth of mother nature.
While taking a leisurely stroll, a young boy was suddenly appeared beside her, his expression beaming. From the eye, he seemed pretty friendly and just possibly he was just as pleased with the weather as she was. "Yeah, it's really nice outside, today! Most of the time, the weather isn't this nice. I like the sudden changes mother nature makes." A brief chuckle was heard when hearing her sentence. It was silly to say, but it didn't hurt to build friendships nowadays.
"Hm?" Once his question was heard, a thin brow raised; pondering upon an answer, she replied, "Ah, the Ice Cream shop? Hmmm." Taking a step in front of the entrance, the teen followed the imprints with her finger. "It says here the shop doesn't open until 11 AM." Fixing her gaze back to the other, she pointed down the street. "If you're looking for another ice cream shop there's one just a couple minutes down from here that's open pretty early!"
— bad timing; [ iki ]
The lifestyle of Iunctum became easier as the days passed. Sure, the teen may have been pacing back and forth in front of the market, but things were definitely getter better. As his patience began to waver, Hiccup rubbed his empty stomach whenever it rumbled with dissatisfaction. Taking small steps, he reached the end of the store and turned on his good heel to continue the pattern. Gods help him if the store didn’t open soon—really soon.
Spotting a long, brown haired girl coming his way, Hiccup thought perhaps she could help him. He took a few large strides in her direction before coming to a slow, speaking while still a few feet away. "Great day, huh?" Of course this was a lie because he had seen mornings without a hollow shell of a stomach.
"Not to come off as forward but when does this place open?" Sadly the viking wasn’t as well versed in reading as he would like to be. Besides, he didn’t have to read any jumbled up lines in his world. He would still appreciate knowing that the market didn’t open until nine am—giving him roughly two hours to wait.
#forbiddenfriends#ooc; omg this starter was fab sorry if my reply seemed messy ;-;\\#ALSO THANK YOU FOR WRITING THIS AND NO WORRIES#i totally suggest noragami to watch if you have time !! but srs no worries at all#i promise you don't need to know much about the anime to chat with me c:
