Currently holding the first seven sketches of character concept art for our work-in-progress Foreverland audio-fiction project from @jojoseames. Just ideas so far, but I'm trembling with anticipation and excitement. These capture the characters so well. I can't wait till we have something to show people

As promised, at 50% Funded, we have released Joleel. A Jolene parody with lyrics by Lou Sutcliffe. Performed by Daisy McNamara on vocals, and Lou Sutcliffe on Kazoo.
Image description: An eel with blonde hair and a cowboy hat singing. Text reads 50% Funded, Joleel
If you want even more stupidity from us, our next BIG DUMB THING goal is 75% funded. I'm looking into the logistics of doing a rowdy showing of Razortooth, an eel horror movie with 24% on rotten tomatoes, with the cast. More word soon.

Gimli, who went through standard dwarf education: "We'll need to be careful to elevate the head and monitor 'is blood pressure for the next few hours."
Legolas, who grew up in the woods surrounded by other weird ass Mirkwood elves: "...Why don't we just ask the moon to fix him?"

Last week, bartender Phillip Creek died while returning home from the bar he owns on the shores of rural Lake Arkansas. His memorial wreath is still standing next to jukebox in his bar, The Lakeside Bar and Grill, even as the petals begin to drift down to the scuffed planks below. But if Phillip is dead and buried, why does fry cook Lefty Douglas keep saying he's seen Phillip since? Man-in-Black Alister McAndrews and freelance exorcist Saint Garcia-Flores are on the case.
The Haunting of Lakeside Dive: Chapter 6, Part 20: Alister and Saint try to convince Alice Creek that she's not the only person still occupying the Creek House on the shores of Lake Arkansas and our two investigators stumble into additional historic clues about what possessed the town all those generations ago.
ParaScience in an actual play audio fiction podcast about the crossroads between the paranormal and the scientific and the frightening grey are in between. We've been compared to the X-Files, Mothman Prophecies and Twin Peaks. It's been an ominous and haunted winter for atheist exorcist Saint Garcia-Flores and mysterious man-in-black Alister McAndrews.

They've joked about it on To The Point and Click in the past, but when Glory and Ben were brainstorming ideas for this year's charity holiday stream, one question just kept coming back to them: "What if we just played Myst?"
Two hosts. One giant puzzle. An all day charity stream on December 21st at Noon Pacific.

Halloween may be over but it's still Vampire Season (just go with us on this, okay?). Matty provides a crucial update on their long-running Dracula Watch project and the gang spends the rest of the episode talking about various vampire movies: Interview with a Vampire, Being Human and Twilight.
Genuinely if you have a rec for a good Dracula adaptation that didn’t come up in this episode, please email us at [email protected]. At least one of us is dying out here.

LIARS & LEECHES - #BIPOCtober Day 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your fear. It’s so delicious!
Grief. Anxiety. Terror. Tonya Wright felt it all after the tragic murders of her sister and brother-in-law in a random act of gun violence. Struggling to travel outside of her home, she now lives constantly on edge about perceived threats that seem to surround her. Retreating to the house her sister and brother-in-law once shared to process her grief, Tonya soon discovers that someone — or something — has followed her there. With the help of her best friend Natalie, and others she meets along the way, can Tonya overcome her fears before they completely consume her? The first original audio drama from Hemlock Creek Productions, “Liars & Leeches” delves deep into the complicated horrors of grief, trauma, resilience, and steadfast human determination to uncover the truth.
Tumblr media
From @liarsandleechespod
I think the summary on the website does a decent job of describing what the main character Tonya goes through, but she is a black woman who loses her sister and brother in law unexpectedly in a mass shooting. As she struggles to overcome her grief, she discovers someone-or something- is following her.
She really goes through it over the course of the story, but through it all she is incredibly brave, insightful, and curious, and although she knows the importance of relying on her friends (both new and old) through the season, she is also incredibly tough, resilient and can stand up for herself.
Tumblr media
The actor playing her (Kendell Byrd) won best leading performance in an audio drama at the New Jersey Web Fest in 2023 for her role as Tonya.

Grief, trauma, horror, and a protagonist going through it, I know how much many of you love that sort of a story~
Follow Liars and Leeches here on Tumblr and check them out wherever you listen to podcasts! Linking their site in the replies.
Hope you've been enjoying #BIPOCtober so far, show some love to your faves in the tags! We'll be slowly reblogging some posts over the week, but will reblog most of them at the end to give these features more attention.
Cheers!
